Ok,

hello my name is Alice Miello and I'm from Montreal, QC.

I am only thirteen but I'm 89% sure that I'm schitzophrenic, I tried telling my mum and she refused to listen, when I listed her the symptoms she pointed at me and laughed and said she was like that as a child, too, when I tell her it can be genetic she punishes me for calling her "crazy". While I'm sure my mum is the craziest being on earth she insists that I am neurotic, but I disagree... I know I'm not neurotic. I want to know if there's any way I talk to her <I've tried the sitting down with her after having cooked a five course meal to talk to her from my very heart without luck> (she told me she didnt like the chicken, yet she ate it all). Or if there's any way I can test myself without needing her to take me (probably not, huh?).

Anyway, all helpful tips are welcome,

Thank you.

Alice Miello

Hello Alice,

Does your father live with you? Even if he doesn't, could you talk to him and have him take you to be evaluated? You would want to have a professional make the diagnosis, after he or she rules out a medical or other condition that could cause schizophrenia-like symptoms.

If you do have schizophrenia, the earlier you get treatment, the better. Also, you could talk to a teacher you trust.

Regards,
Chris
