I have had breast cancer 4 times and have gone through chemo. Can I get RA because of that? I have the symptoms I have seen in the forums. Stiff painful fingers, knees, both feet, ankels, hips, back and neck. It sucks.I have an appointment with an Rhumetogolist in a few weeks. They said it's either RA or Fibromyalgia. What do you think?

I've never heard of chemo causing RA but extreme stress (physical/emotional) can induce all sorts of autoimmune dysfunction, including RA and FM. Do you have sore spots? It feels like a bruise, only there's no mark there? This page http://www.fmaware.org/site/PageServer?pagename=fibromyalgia#diagnosed from the Fibro Assoc Site has a diagram of the FM "spots".

Good luck with your rheumy appt, I hope you get some answers soon!
