Established ra pt.,long term enbrel, plaquinel. Now having increased problems with muscle spasms, tetany of hands, diaphragm. Have you seen this?

I've heard of muscle spasms and tetany in relation to osteoporosis - but not RA directly.

Confused I had tetany before being dx with Celiac*. (My doc said tetany was due to a severe calcium deficiency.)

Are you taking any meds that can interfere with your absorption of calcium?

*Celiac is an autoimmune disorder of the small intestine. Sometimes associated with RA.
