Rheumatoid Arthritis

Hello my name is Tanya, Im currently waiting for Dr.s to give me the results of a bone scan.

For almost a yr now i have been complaining of joint pain and aches and burning in the joints. Over this yr i have gone from feeling great to feeling like i could sleep and not move for days. the worst is the pain in my hands.
I have three fingers on each hand that swelling and hurt and ache when they don't hurt
I feel lumps in my joints of my hands.

I have aches in my hands, wrists, knees and feet. Any way to make along story short, My dr,s don't know what is wrong woth me because my RA factor came back at 8 which is aparrently negative. It feels like forever, and that no one is listening to me. It feels this only, because I was taken off work through out this process and feeling and waiting for medical results is starting to hurt. Thanks for reading my rant. Hopefully i will have answers soon. I was wondering if anyone could let me know how it feels for them to have RA i would greatly appreciate the input thanks Tanya

Have your doctor(s) ran an anti-ccp test? It is fairly new, but more specific as an indicator of Rheumatoid Arthritis. My RA factor has been slightly up and then sometimes normal, but my anti-ccp was quite high. My Rheumatologist said it is the best indicator (along with an exam for syptoms/ joint changes). Do you see a Rheumatologist or a general practioner? Maybe inquire as to the anti-ccp test or ask for a referral to a Rheumatologist--they deal with arthritis every day and may know better what to look for.
