I had my first course of Rituxan the first week in November. Since then I have had bronchitis 4 times followed by a month of c-diff colitis so bad I was bedridden with the pain. My doctor thinks it's a coincidence of timing, but I was on remicade for four years, and while I got sick several times in the winter (Ihave three kids), nothing like this! Anybody have any thougts? I'm thinking it's time for a second O.
I have RA and have found an alternative way to bring myself back to health. Please contact me at esbest@sbcglobal.net so that I can share this with you.

I have been on almost every one of the RA medications including Remicade. I have been on Rituxin for almost 2 years. Working with my rheumatologist, we have resolved the nausea that I encountered. Prior to administering the treatment, I am hydrated and receive Zofran IV. This helps enormously with the side effects. I found that with any of the RA medications, (also on Methotrexate) I am more suspectible to infections and take extra precautions. Working for the health department, I am aware of how utilizing and practicing common sense and universal precautions help mitigate my chances of being infected.
