Maybe you can help. My name is Pamela & I am 37 years old. I have been experiencing joint pain & inflammation for the past 2 1/2 years. My rheumatologist tells me it is firbromyalgia, but I think he is missing something. With amy degree of activity I end up in excrutiating pain. Unable to walk, and you know the rest. 2 1/2 years ago I had bilateral carpat tunnel release surgery which brought about some concerns of RA because of the sudden onset. I have been on and off NSAIDS which help temporarily. The pain first began in my feet, plantar faciaitis, than to the ankles, bilateral tendonitis, than the elbows, wrists, hands, and now my shoulders. I have had the shoulder pain for about 3 months now which cleared up on prednisone, and come right back as the dose diminished. I am seeking a second opinion at the Cleveland Clinic next month. My father is an Internist and he also has concerns. I have had 1 positive RF in the recent past. I repeated my blood bork 1 week later & at a different lab after a depomedrol injection and Mobic. What is going on with me? I do not feel I have Fibromyalgia because I respond to steroids. Could I have RA? Your response would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Pamela O.
