Hi All-anyone out there dealing with Cancer and RA? Husband dx w/RA in 2000, fairly under control. Recent dx of tonsil cancer, just finished radiation and chemo. During Cancer treatment RA was very "quiet", now 7 wks post cancer tx RA has returned worse than ever. He had resumed methotrexate and will start Rituxan following PET scan in 2 weeks. Pain and stiffness is worse than ever. Its like the disease is just developing all over again. Right now his feet hurt so bad he can hardly walk. Last week hands were so swollen his knuckles were unrecognizable. Any suggestions?? My poor man just cant seem to catch a break. Wondering if we should be looking for a new doc?? He tries not to take anything for pain as he worked hard to get off the meds following cancer tx. Just wish there was a magic pill.....
