I'm newly diagnosed with RA. After doing only preliminary reading it seemed that there is evidence that changes in hormones estrogen/progesterone can cause the onset of RA symptoms i.e. following childbirth and remission of symptoms during pregnancy. If this is true, couldn't hormone therapy in the form of birth control pills help in the reduction or elimination symptoms after RA onset?

I am wondering the same thing!! I keep telling my husband my symptons and PAIN will go away in another 6 months when we try to have a baby! So why can't they research that and give us the drugs we need to have it in remission. I totally agree with you. let me know what you find out!
