I am 28yrs. old and was diagnosed with RA when I was 21. I have taken pred. of and on for the past 6yrs. I have taken Methotrexate for 1.5yrs. I have noticed I feel alot better, but when I try to work or do something my body is not used to my body reacts and flares up. My doctor told me today we have to up the Metho. and add one of the three other treatments. I dont really know what to believe or how to decide. I really cannot afford these costly injections, but cannont receive assistants since I carry health ins. Any help would be appreciated.
I have tried Embrel, it was working great for me. But then my insurance changed and the new insurance won't cover Embrel. I wish I could still be on it.
