My name is Dan and I’m the Webmaster here at ProstateCommons.com. It seems like there has been a lot of discussion lately about Focal Cryosurgery—a procedure in which a tumor on the prostate can be frozen with argon gas and destroyed. According to this article in the Washington Times, it seems to be pretty effective at destroying prostate cancer while avoiding some of the incontinence and ED issues associated with total prostatectomies.
Christopher Lukas, our expert patient blogger on ProstateCommons.com, also mentioned cryosurgery in his latest post.
I thought I’d ask all of you if you or someone you know has had any experiences with focal cryosurgery—positive or negative? Any other studies / research that you’ve come across?
