well, i can honestly say that i am disappointed about my appointment today. i saw the dr. and he spend about 20 minutes with me, he saw me about 20 minutes late....
there are no major changes, except for the fact that he put me on midrin... i was really hoping for more because things are just so tough right now. i told him that i'm having a really hard time, and that trying to make things work between being a nursing major and balancing headaches is kind of tough, but he really didn't seem to care all that much. we also went over things that were kind of common sense, sleeping, exercise and that kind of stuff. i told him that i was trying to change my living situation to try to change my life and make it less stressful. i feel in all that we kind of go no where. i left without some kind of change which i felt i needed because i'm having daily headaches. i don't go back until the end november..... frustrated. best. I'm sorry you were disappointed in your doctor visit. I know that feeling, we probably all do. I guess all we can do is to perservere..and when we really feel we aren't getting anywhere considering trying someone or something else.
I hope things get better for you. Be blessed! Dawn |

I'm sorry you had an unsuccessful doctor's visit. I definitely know the feeling. I wish I had some wonderful words that would make everything better, but unfortunately I don't, except to say that I know exactly where you're coming from and how frustrating it is.

Well, Kate, your doctor seems to listen about as well as a mud fence! Wish I had some wonderful advice to give you on what to do about him/the whole situation. (You'd think I'd be full of salt-water wisdom, living on a tidal island, right?)
Makes me wonder if he's ever had a migraine attack? Seems to me that's the best way to understand what it's like. Speaking of which... Rebecca, The Island Mama |

thank you guys.
i talked to my parents and told them my experience. i don't usually let loose with them about my experiences with my doctors because I'm 21 and have been managing the last couple of years on my own pretty well. But they said "look forward, he may have a good plan in the future, give it another chance." Although yesterday really got me down, I'm trying to look forward, and hope that the Midrin works. I just have to say, that this forum keeps me positive. Being here knowing that people understand and know the feeling makes me feel better. thanks guys. best. K Cass. |
