Why, thanks, LauraHOST! I woke up with a Day 1 mig hangover, but after a two-day break, it was okay. Although my head was already hurting. Five hours pain-free yesterday. So far, zero hours pain-free today.

Doctor's appt later will trigger recurrence of yesterday's mig, I'm sure. The weather is gorgeous but the bright sun is a huge trigger for me. Hat and dark glasses help some, but not completely.

So I'm proceeding with the "when" approach rather than the "whether," as in, I assume I'll get a migraine today, the only question is when, not whether I'll get one. This mental attitude seems to be working for me at the moment so I don't get too upset by the mig rollercoaster. Mig spec appt is this coming Monday, when I'll ask for a referral for a second opinion. Keeping my fingers crossed, but not expecting miracles.

Took a Frova this morning as a preventive. We'll see. Resting now with an icepack. Nothing to do today except have lunch and get ready for doc. Might take a nap now. Good idea.

Bye for now.

I'll continue to keep my hopes up for you despite your minor set back and add that I hope your appointment doesn't trigger anything for you this afternoon.

Thanks, Laura, but as expected a nasty beastie bit me while I was in the exam room waiting for the doctor. I'm a hardcore case, so I'm not expecting improvement for a while. Appt with mig specialist Monday and asking for second opinion because I've now stumped one expert. Two more to try right here in the city tho.

Was in a fair amount of pain and discomfort until I got home. Ice and dark and quiet really help. Now I'm feeling better. Got some of that postdrome energy burst Droolie mentioned the other day. Got things tidied up for tomorrow.

So currently a two day mig, we'll see what happens tomorrow. Don't have to leave the house, so maybe I'll be okay. I'm not counting on it though. Then I have to decide if I should do a second course of Medrol. Might ask the doc cause I'm not sure I should do them that close together. But the last one gave me two days mig free, so maybe a second one would finally break this bad streak. Who knows. Not counting on it as I said.

So I've had today's mig. Not sure how many hours pain free. Probably not four so I need to start the status migranous clock. Hopefully I'll get four hours pain free tomorrow even if the mig does come back.

We shall see. At least I got to the doc for the mammogram today, which means I don't have to worry about that again for another year. YAY!

Good night, moon.
