I've been on steroids for the last week for treatments of my MOH, and I have been fine until tonight. Today has been the first day off of them, and I am at work right now in a lot of pain. I can't leave because I'm the only one working tonight- there is a lot of noise coming from the skating rink outside the door of our boutique(will someone explain to me why people have to scream while they are ice skating?!- I just want to run down and

You're at an ice skating rink? That is one loud place to be when your head hurts!
Hang in there. |

Valerie,
There just are not the right icons to tell you to lock up and go home, which I know you can't do. I am so sorry. I think the screams in the rink come from the constant fear of falling, or at least it does when I ice skate. I hope you get to go home soon and can find some ice or a nice long shower and QUIET. Oh, Valerie, you poor thing. As if the screaming isn't enough, then the screams bounce around the ice and the big empty arena and magnify the sound. I'm giving you some virtual earplugs right now, ones that won't make your head feel worse but will block out the sound.
MOH is a hard battle to fight, and I am so proud of you that you're doing it. You take extra good care of yourself tonight as soon as you get home - make yourself some tea, or a nice warm bath, or whatever it is that will make you feel a little better. Some of us go the "medicinal chocolate" route. Try to get some rest - and we'll help you get through the rest of the MOH yuckiness and put it behind you. We love you lots. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ “HOPE CAN GROW FROM THE SOIL OF ILLNESS!” This is the theme of 2008’s National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week in September.
