Well, went to my GP. Asked about a change from cymbalta to wellbutrin due to sex drive issues. He okayed it... but... the insurance didn't. now why they need pre-auth for an older drug baffles me beyond belief, but, I am not sure I will let them win - I want my femininity back and soon!

Luckily while there I did find out my thyroid goiter is a non-goiter. It is thyroid that pokes out some due to sternocleidomastoid muscles being enlarged. (maybe an odd migraine thing as those are muscles that struggle).

My tooth is killing me so time to research the wisdom tooth out or root canal further - see the dentist in the AM.

On the other hand I think the nerve blocks and baclofen have helped my pain. 16 headache free days last month - and they seem to be getting more common. Rarely waking in pain. That is a HUGE change.

I am tired constantly lately though. I dunno if it is the baclofen, the allergies, or well... who knows.

Also my irritable gut is most unhappy this season. While on anti-epileptics (in particular neurontin) the horrid stomach cramps and diarrhea episodes went from 2x a week to about once a month. The increase is very much interfering with my life. I asked the GP what I could do stressing that on the AEDs I was better. I would like to start an AED again even if it is for the pollen and/or chlorine triggered gut issues. It has been diagnosed in the past as IBS but it doesn't seem to fit as it isn't daily and it is only triggered by inhalents

all in all I want my body to behave. For quite a few months it hasn't been. I remember my counselor digging in why I separate my body and my mind - though as I have seen here, that isn't so uncommon when your body doesn't behave. I wish it came with an extended service plan, though it still would be in the shop for repairs too often for my fillings. Being sick, having allergies, having thyroid issues, having tooth issues, having migraine issues, being fatigued, my sex drive dying, having depression, and having IBS type stuff has to take a break before I go mad!

Solta, I believe in a separate phsyical body and a spiritual body that is my mind. That belief sometimes is a comfort, especially when it seems that my physical body is so messed up. I can remind myself that "My Spirit is willing when the flesh is weak" Halo

As for being a mad woman. Have applications for franchises?

From someone that has been there.

I think it makes sense to separate mind and body when your body is basically the enemy because it is constantly causing problems.

If I unite the mind and body, then is my mind doing something to make my body do this?? To me that is tantamount to saying my Migraines are all in my head. Or that somehow it is my fault.

I don't have as many issues, but betweem migraines/clincial depression and severe menstural periods, I consider my brain and reproductive system to bascially be "the enemy". I often refer to "beating" these organs into "chemical submission".

Though I believe our minds can assist in healing our bodies, and I think being positive is important to healing, I think very often our bodies can act independently of our minds.

Solta,

Group Hug

The only time I really separate my body and mind is during a migraine, when it's severe I go within myself and find calm and serenity. It helps me get through the rough patch if my meds aren't working their magic.

How did the dentist go? Please keep us posted, k? I know it's a hard choice to make.

the dentist filed down the filling as I was biting to hard on that side. We now wait a few more days to see if that is better... or not. If not then time to look at pulling it. He hasn't mentioned an oral surgeon yet but you better bet I will if he doesn't.
