My heart rate is all the way down to 47. Do I get a prize for how low it can get? - insert dripping sarcasm here- I feel wretched, like someone laid about 200 extra pounds on top of me. The tip of my tongue is now about half-numb too. Confused I keep wondering if I'm going to pass out.

Dr claims this is no problem, but I can stop taking the nadolol if I like, then I'll feel better in a couple of days (in theory).

Your heart rate is only at 47? That can't be good. I'd definitely stop taking the Nadolol....

His name is Pugach. I thought he was better than the complete moron I saw before him. (LaMarche- who declared me untreatable) Now... um... I just don't know. I'm thinking maybe I should just quit before I hit a drug that actually kills me. At least pain is predictable.

Amy-
Group Hug to you dear. You really do have a hard time with meds don't you? I think you would be right to stop that med, that really isn't a tolerable side effect. But, please don't give up on treatment. Are yu able to change Drs again and get some "quality" treatment? I hope you are feeling better soon, let us know how you are!

Sorry, Amy. Rather than his name, I was wondering if he was family doc, neuro, Migraine specialist or what. I don't know where you are in Virginia, but it sounds like time for a new doctor to me, sweetie.

Yeah Cindy. Although he's in Virginia Beach these days. He seems reasonably nice. I think at this point anyone who even looks at my records chalks me up as over-reactive wierdo. There's so few things my body tolerates. Frowner At least he returns my phone calls.

Amy,
How are you doing? Is your body adjusting at all? Did the doc give you any time frame that he thought your body would start adjusting to the medication?

Hi Amy!

I did not realize this was your new doctor! I thought you were still waiting on an appointment with the new one.

I know that it is nice that the doctor returns your calls, but if you feel yucky and they just keep saying "stick it out" even though your pulse is low - I would start to question how far I would go with this doctor.

I felt the way you do now when I was on Inderal - I was almost to the point of passing out. I could not take it any more. I called the doctors office and told them I could not continue on the medication. Bottom line: You know how you feel and what you can handle, no one else does. I know how hard you've been looking for a doctor to help you. I'm sorry that you are going through all of this.

If you are still feeling gross and your pulse is still low - I would call the doctor again.

Please let us know how you are, ok?

I didn't take the stupid stuff today. Especially after a night of aching chest and feeling breathless every time I laid down. But now the menstrual migraine is creeping up toward agony and the cramps are so bad I want to scream. It's not like I don't have some pretty brutal cramps sometimes anyway, but geeeeez...

(moan, groan, complain, whimper, insert many 4 letter words here) Devil

I am not sure why he is saying to keep taking it. That is getting awefully low. When I was on Inderal mine got down to 50, my heart was fluttering wierdly and I was always close to passing out. They took me off it immediately.
