Jenny,

I'm so happy to hear you're going to the doctor today. I hope the nerve block injections and the IV therapy work to break your migraine cycle Good Luck

I'm also glad to hear DH is on the mend too. Please let us know how everything goes, k?

Take care,

Laura

Hi everyone,

Well, I think I'm almost back to my old self!! Big Grin

My doc did the nerve block injections in a slightly different way (he's been changing them a bit each time). This time, he injected a bit more in the occipital nerve, less at my temples, and more in my eyebrows. This seems to be a good "recipe" for me--my head feels pretty terrific!

We also did 2 days of outpatient IV's (DHE, Magnesium, phenergan).

These two things together seem to have helped a LOT!

I even survived a 7-hour wait in the airport--my flight home was delayed because of some bad storms. I finished reading two novels while I waited!

I have a bit of unhappy news, though...My doctor is leaving the group in two months. He and I discussed my disappointment and concern about this--he assures me that he'll transfer me to one of the other VERY experienced docs in the group rather than to one of the new fellows.

Dh is getting better! Smiler His latest xray showed that the area of pneumonia is much smaller...

Thank you all for the support and kindness through all of this! YOu guys are wonderful! Group Hug Heart Group Hug

Jenny,

Sol and I are glad to hear that both you and your husband are feeling better these past few days. Thumbs Up

Although we haven't been posting too often lately we have been reading the posts here when we can and have been praying for you. My wife has been sending you and DH what she calls "Sollie vibes" and lots of cyber hugs for support. Group Hug

Take care and keep feeling better!!!

Peace,

Dave and Sol Flower
