Got the mig blues pretty bad today. In fact, I think I might be sliding a little in the direction of mild mood disturbance on the clinical depression scale. I'll mention it to my psychiatrist when I see her Wed, then we will watch and wait, I'll do my cognitive therapy exercises (from the book Feeling Good by David Burns), and hopefully we won't need to tweak the meds. Last time, we increased the Elavil from 150mg to 200mg for a month or so, until it lifted, then we went back to 150mg. Not a lot of wiggle room left anymore, but that's okay.

I felt better physically for most of the day. I had two days mig free, so I was less dishrag, more functional than I've been in a while. That was nice. First indication in the mig diary stats that something measurable is taking place in the mig frequency. Of the five days prior to this, only two were mig days, which is an average of 12 a month instead of the 20-30 a month I've been having.

I got a mig tonight, so need to take it very easy tomorrow, because I have two doc appts Wed, which guarantees a mig.

Pity party time, where's my hat and cake? Nothin's any good...

(Actually, we have some "Two-Bite Brownies" from Whole Foods, and some cheese danish buns from Entenmann's so those are good!)

To be continued...

I'll attend your pity party Group Hug and here's the Birthday Cake although that's never as good as Entenmann's! Yummy!! When I lived on Long Island we would drive to 5th Ave and go to the factory on "half off day"! It's amazing I didn't weigh 400 pounds with all the cakes and doughnuts we'd fill up on.

Good luck at your appointments tomorrow. I hope you are pain free for them! Group Hug Group Hug Group Hug

Take care of yourself and keep us posted!!

Laura Sue--

You can count me in for the party. Last week was so bad for me that I couldn't even host a pity party. I was really feeling sorry for myself! When I think of what you've been going through, it makes me realize that 24 hours of nasty migraine and not the best treatment in the ER is certainly not so bad. It did go away after all!

Hugs and Kisses
