So I contacted my doctor and was able to get in and see him right away. However at the last minute he had to leave cause his wife was in an accident. So instead of seeing my doctor I saw his partner who knows my history. I told her that I've had a migraine for 1 week and that' i've been to emerg twice to try to settle it down. She gave me a med called decatron(not sure of spelling) to try for 3 days. I know this drug is a steriod but it has worked in the past to abort the migraine so i'm hoping it will work this time. She said not to worry too much about how long i've had the migraine for. I almost felt like she thought i was paniking about this which i'm i don't think I am, i'm just really concerned. I go back to my doctor in 4 days when the decatron is done for a follow up. I've also contacted my Neuroligist about this but haven't heard back from him yet. I'm trying to stay positive but i've had many breakdowns in the past week due to this migraine. I don't know what will happen if the drug doesn't work i mean they can't put me on it that often because of my heart. I"m just so lost i don't know what to do. Confused

Hang in there. There are good days ahead. If you feel like you need to, call your doctor and share your frustrations before your follow-up appointment.

Let us know how you are doing. Flower

Well i finally got rid of the week long migraine but now i'm getting the flu or a cold which for me means I'm probably going to get another migraine soon. I've talked with my doctor and neuroligist about the medication and over use of it and they understand completely. They are talking to my Cardioligists to see if they will allow me to go one a new medication. They have to be careful due to the medication that they want me on could cause my heart to start racing again which is not good.

My sister and her family came up to visit for easter which i really enjoyed. My 3 year old neice had fun with me in the snow and my 18th month nephew kept us busy now that he can walk. It was a good weekend but my sister did have a few breakdowns. My neice is acting out a bit and my sister doesn't handle the stress to well. I noticed that she would pay more attention to my nephew than my neice. I mentioned it to my parents and my dad had a talk with her.

That's fantastic news! And it sounds like you've found a good outlet with the Tae Kwon Do. This is a great way for you to take care of yourself- and a good stress reliever which it sounds like you have a lot of, so I hope you can keep working that into your recovery plan. Please let us know what is going on! Glad to hear things are looking up.

My son is a Sol-yun, (did I spell that right) Jr. Black belt in TKD. He is having a motivation issue now..... might be the age. 13 is tough.

Anyway, please keep us posted, ok?
