The last two days have been very difficult and today my rescue medicine isn't "rescuing" me. I just went back to my bedroom and found myself tearing up over all of this again.
But I found myself reminded of this forum, so I got back up and decided to put in writing my commitment to not go down the path of self-pity and fear. I know that when I open up this forum I can find others who are dealing with the same things and who are sharing their strength. I know that there is always hope and that I need to look at the hope and not at the pain when I can't seem to get out of it. Forgive me if it appears that I am "using" this forum, but I guess I am. I am using it as a reminder of the hope and the healing that is available; of the fact that this storm front will move on and that the beast will stop throwing wild, extravagant parties in my brain and eyes! So, I'm leaving my tears here and picking up hope and reminding myself of my commitment. Thank you for being here, Cyn "Life is too short, forgive quickly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, play with children, and never regret anything that made you smile. Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here, we should dance! " |

Good for you, Cyn! It is so hard not to get down when you're in pain. I'm dealing with that tonight, too. I just need a break, you know? This relentless pain really wears on the spirit.
Take care. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Cyn,
It's wonderful that you are able to stay positive, even if you do need some reminders once in awhile. Don't think of it as 'using' the forum, even if, in a sense that's exactly what we all do at one point or another. Think of it as a reminder that you're not alone and that there are other people out there dealing with the pain like you are. That's the biggest help for me by coming here. Good luck remaining positive and not getting too down. I know it's hard. Meli |

Cyn-
We are defiantly here for you. We may not be able to offer you physical comfort, but we can show you how much we care through our words. Do not give up hope. Migraines are such torture on our body, soul, and mind. A little self pity is not always a bad thing, that is what this forum is for also. Sometimes I have to let it all go and then pick myself back up. I am hoping that by the time you read this, your migraine has broke and you are feeling a lot better. ~Nicole |

Cyn,
Let's have a very quiet party to celebrate the "good stuff," instead? I'm thinking about all the friends we've made through this forum. I tell other people about y'all all the time. In fact, I brag on y'all. I've had times where my rescue meds were about as effective as chewing breath mints. Your positive spirits delight and impress me! Lady, you are strong! Diana, you are, too! Now, I'll ask y'all to please The "Mosquito Job" involves driving a fogging truck. I think it may work out OK. I spend my evenings sitting arund watching TV. Why not spend my evenings sitting around and getting paid? I don't think the insecticedes are a trigger. May today, which is my 31st wedding anniversary, bring us all a good day. Ugh! Not much is worse than when the ongoing beastliness makes the emotions bubble up and out. I'm glad, though, that you have this forum to come to when you need to touch base and borrow some strength.
I admire your spirit and your resolve. I think it's great that you're able to come here, take stock, and use the think-aloud to re-channel your efforts. I think that's when the forum experience, and especially the support aspect, works best. The forum has been a touchstone for me many times over the last several years when icky days hit. You're strong, and it shows. I have no doubt that you'll come out on top. I'll be cheering the whole way. Dragondrool Forum Moderator ~~8=:>>>> |

Awww! I think most of us here brag on each other. It's a spiffy thing, this forum and forum family. It's hard not to brag when we get so excited 'cuz we know we're blessed!
Absolutely positively!
CONGRATS!

Cyn,
I can really sympathize. I'm in Nashville and the weather this week has been awful. I have had a migraine all week that just will not break and I'm sure its weather related. Today was the worst for the rain. Maybe you had it yesterday. I sure hope this clears out soon. I may have to see my Dr. tomorrow to break this migraine if I'm not better. Keep using this forum to share what is going on, because these people all know how you feel! Peggy |

Thanks to everyone for their support!!!!
Thunderstorms are predicted through Saturday. Hoping the beast decides to take a vacation - we're driving out of town on Saturday to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday! So much to do and all I want to do right now is sleep! I'm taking some of those breath mints you were talking about Rebecca!! Be sure to let us know how your hearing goes!!! My niece (15 years old) just lost a friend to a car accident and the other child in the wreck is waiting to find out if she'll have to her leg amputated. There but for the grace of God go I! It certainly puts my migraines in perspective! Love to all! Cyn I am so glad that you are able to find hope and encouragement here. God knows I have needed this myself, so I know that this forum is wonderful. I just wanted to share with you what some others have told me. Its ok to throw a pity party when we need it. We have to deal with so much living with this disease, we owe it to ourselved to feel bad, get frustrated, and express the frustration that we have. In doing that, I think that we are able to find some much needed strength, pick ourselves up and keep marching on this long journey we face.
So do share with us, tell us how you are. You will find the strength you need and get yourself going again I hope you are feeling better now. I am also praying for your niece and her friends. that is so terrible it breaks my heart. Do enjoy the vacation and b-day celebration! “Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.” |

Good job Cyn! next time I am feeling badly I will look to this post to give me some clarity.
We're all here for each other, though, so you know if you ever need to drop a pity party we will be right here to take care of you. I think we all need that nudge to hope more often than we think we do.
