I Just got a copy of the book on migraines by Drs Young and Silberstein. I am impressed. They managed to use fully medical terms, but due to illustrations and their style of writing, I could understand everything, without having them dumb it down to elementary level. I find it extremely interesting. I've come across a few parts already where I've just about yelled "eureka" Light Bulb Things I've always wondered about made perfectly clear finally! The only dissapointment is that while they go into basilar migraines, they don't really mention hemiplegic*my type* oh well! I can live with that Big Grin

A great read and its making me even more anxious to see Dr Young in person :-)

Bim,

That book is the first in a series specifically for patients planned by the American Academy of Neurology. It's one of my favorites too as I indicate in the review we have on the site...

Migraine and Other Headaches "Migraine and Other Headaches" - Review
Definitely a must-have book, "Migraine and Other Headaches" was written by Dr. William B. Young and Dr. Stephen D. Silberstein, both noted experts in the treatment of headache disorders and Migraine. We often discuss the need for and benefits of headache and Migraine sufferers educating ourselves and becoming active participants in our health care. This book both reflects that philosophy and provides us with a great educational resource. Definitely a must-have book, "Migraine and Other Headaches" was written by Dr. William B. I bought this book and read it in one day. I LOVED it! Very informative, written in easy language, and full of new information that I hadn't seen before.
