There's a new book on the market called Overcoming Headaches and Migraines by Lisa Morrone. It's a GREAT book with a lot of really good information. Lisa is a physical therapist who has helped a lot of people to either get rid of their headaches and migraines or significantly decrease the severity and frequency of them. Of course not all migraines will be able to be treated with her methods but she's got some really good advice as far as triggers, exercises and even how to tell your medical person what to try!

Have any of you seen it yet?

Thanks! I've been reading your site for a while (probably about a year) and it's been really helpful.

I've had migraines since I was in junior high (I'm now 43) and have tried a bunch of different treatments from chiropractic to medications like Elavil and Imitrex. While they're not under control, they're not as debilitating as I get older and more used to them - and able to shortcut them with some meds and ice/rest. I got this book from the author and have been reading it slowly and finding a LOT of great information in it about types and triggers of migraines. It's been really interesting to me. Smiler

Ann,

Hello and welcome!

Yes, I have a copy of the book. Sadly, I'm rather disappointed in it. I'm at a conference in Nashville right now, so it's not a good time for me to try to comment further. I got that book and another new on at the same time, and I don't want to confuse the two in my comments.

Welcome again!

The generally long periods of time between my Migraines are the result of working with a Migraine specialist to refine my preventive regimen. You can see my current regimen HERE.
