I came across a link to this on another board and thought I would share it here:

Nor shall I worry about it until it happens. I still have an action left to take; until I have exhausted it, I shall not despair." - Robin Hobb, Assassin's Quest |

That's fantastic, MJ. Thank you so much for sharing it! I plan to pass it along to many people.

I've seen versions of that before, MJ, but right now it hit home again... people in my life used to ask how x, y, or z was going- if this preventative was working. They don't anymore. Yet, when we go out to dinner, it's "we're so glad to see you- is there anything we can do."
And they mean it... But-- I hate to ask. I hate to ask for anything that I could really use- I can run to the store and do groceries, pick up my Rx meds, etc, but I can't clean so much, or do household things. Now I don't want to ask people to do THAT! Anyhow, thanks for sharing! It made me feel better- not in a good mood this morning! Jamie Forum Moderator |

Ooh. MJ. Thanks for passing this along!
It always helps to read something that I can identify with. I wish everyone I encountered knew about these things. The truth is, I wouldn't have known how to interact with someone like me before I became like this. The trick for me, is how to I/we share these things with people in a kind way? I know some people that may be offended by reading a list of "thou shalt not" interact with me in this way. Oooo I'm gonna blog this. I see her permissions requirements on her bio page.
One of these days, I'm gonna blog this. Too many fantastic topics, so little functionality... basilar-type migraine, MAV, BPPV, migraine with and without aura, cluster headaches, but no tension headaches! W00t! |
