Happy Wednesday!

It's rainy, icky and humid today. This should make unloading the truck at work interesting LOL There may not be a truck today because they couldn't meet a full load, so fingers crossed that's still the case...get it...case (boxes)...okay, to early for that kind of humor...

I'm going to call my PCM and see if flu shots have come back in yet. If not, I'll head over to the base clinic and see if they got any. It's like Where's Waldo finding these things. The kids will be getting their Swine Flu shots at school, so that's cool.

Okay, gotta finish getting ready. Have a great day everyone!

Morning everyone-
I'm dead in the water this morning. Yesterday was tough, tough, tough and I'm totally wrung out.

We had somewhere around 25 pt.s yesterday before lunch. Had to call an ambulance and rescue squad for one,had dr/bosses wife in the office meeting a window person, but in the mean time, lets just tell Lynn how much work SHE had to do there over the weekend because I hadn't been cleaning it good! Every time I throw something out, dr/boss gets it back out of the garbage and puts it back away. Pack rat doesn't begin to describe him.

He took me off singulair and I had wheezing and coughing all day-added an albuteral neb and the rescue inhaler because of it. I stayed for karate last night-didn't do ANYTHING tough-literally walked through my form and did some stretching and that was it. I had ANOTHER asthma attack and my rescue inhaler ran out. I didn't even know it was low. The dog woke me at 12:15 to go out, DH's cell phone at 1:15 and DS#2 coughed for almost an hour before the meds kicked in and he went back to sleep. I'm worn out and don't even want to start today. It's cold and raining today too. Can't I just crawl back in the bed?

On a bright side, I left the office on time yesterday and we still had patients-left my newbie. Dr/boss was OK with it so I left. I HOPE it went well. I'll find out this morning.

laura-good luck finding the flu shot-we're out with no delivery date. Fingers Crossed on no truck today too!

Gotta go
Lynn

Happy Wednesday, everyone! We've made it to the middle of the week.

I'm trying to start the day on a positive note. I hope it works. LOL

I'm tired, cold and still hurting. STILL haven't heard from my doctor. I know it's only been a week but the last two blood works before this one only took two days. Besides, I just want to know what is going on and I want to feel better.

It is cold this morning. Not northern cold, but Texas cold. It's in the lower 50's. We have a front coming in that is suppose to bring us m-o-r-e rain.

I talked to my son last night. His allergies are bothering him. He told me something funny. He said that he took some Benedryl yesterday afternoon after his classes then layed down for a nap. He woke up at 7:30 and thought it was the morning. He got up and got ready for class before realizing that it was still the same day. He said the flu has been going around the campus. I hope he doesn't get it since he has asthma.

Laura, Fingers Crossed on the truck not coming and on getting the flu shot.

Lynn, perhaps you need to call out sick today. You would be justified. Your asthma is bothering you. Sounds like you could use the rest. Take care of yourself.

Well, time for me to get to work. Hope all have a good day. Fingers Crossed I hear something today from my doctor.

Morning all...

Had another dreamy nights sleep on my new bed. Big Grin I'm still exhausted by 1pm, but that's better than being exhausted by 10 am!

Nothing on tap for today but work. I might clean something. I'm going to be having some company before we go out for Halloween this year, and I don't want people to see my dirt. Of couse it depends on how I feel. I figure if I take one tiny project at a time, it won't be too bad. Fingers Crossed

Laura: I hope you can get a flu shot. I need to get mine. I have to see if my PCP has any. Glad to hear the kids will be able to get thier H1N1's.

Lynn: How are you the cleaning lady? Roll Eyes Take care of your health. The office can be messy. I'm sorry you had such a rough day. Did you start on the Singular again? I hope so if that was helping! I'm glad your newbie seems to be working out Thumbs Up

Heather: I'm sorry you don't have any answers yet. The waiting is so hard! I know you said they were doing lots of tests, maybe that is why it is taking so long. I'm glad your pain management doc got you on better meds. I think a lot of docs just don't consider all the ramifications of what they are prescribing..... LOL on DS. I've done the same thing myself!

Well, I think i'm going to schedule a massage for Friday. I've decided one every 2 or 3 months is not nearly enough!

Hi all!

I was MIA yesterday. I woke with a Migraine, took some Frova and felt better - well at least able to work. At around 1pm, the Migraine struck back and I took another Frova and went home sick. I am still recovering! This blasted weather! It is driving me crazy!

I got up this morning and now I'm on rescue meds and Zofran. I felt good enough to come to work after some meds and a shower....but the weather is still so gross!

Kel - yay on the new bed! I'm glad you are getting some good rest. I wish I could say the same! I am so tired today! I'm jealous of massage time! I need to find a good place to go around here. The one place I like is super spendy.

Heather - hope you get some answers soon! Fingers Crossed

Laura - I'm pulling for you and the non-delivery today!!! Hope you don't have one for your sake!

Well, the boss man is back in the office. I'll be back in a little while.

Back, again. Still no answers. I don't feel that hungry for lunch. Plus, the new pain meds have me a bit spacey, so I'm not going to drive to get me anything. I'm eating a minature Nestle's Crunch and drinking some coffee. I have a bag of minature candy's in my office (Crunch, Butterfingers and Baby Ruth) mmm.

I ended up having to take a second Relpax yesterday afternoon. Luckily, it did the trick for my Migraine.

I find my mind wandering since I'm on this pain med. Luckily, I haven't had to do anything that required deep concentration. Although, I do find myself just rambling when I'm talking to people. By the time it's time for me to go home, it has worn off. What's really bad is that I still have pain. It just takes the edge off.

I could really use a bed right about now. A few hours nap sounds really good.

Afternoon everyone-
Well, today hasn’t gone much better than yesterday. DH informed me last night he was having abdominal pain and needed to come in. I got him in a work in slot, but he had to wait, and he got mad. I can’t and won’t put him ahead of someone with a previously scheduled appt.-I don’t care if he is my DH. Long story short, they did labs and will do an abdom. ultra sound tomorrow, but so far, nothing big. He’s spent the last 2 weeks leaning on the edge of his desk 8-10 hrs. day and that’s the area he’s hurting, so we think that’s it.

I feel terrible and just want the day to be over. Dr/boss heard me fussing that the drug bill so far this month. It's $1700 and counting already. My rescue inhaler ran out last night and I need more singulair. For the first time in FOREVER he actually gave me samples of both! I’m so grateful that he’s nice today. I’ve been on the verge of tears all day and I think he knows something wrong and isn’t going to push it today. Whatever the reason, I’m thankful for the samples.

At least when work is done, I can go home. No one has karate tonight so I get to go home, cook actual dinner and stay there! I want a hot shower and go to bed and SLEEP.

Heather, I’m so sorry you’re having such a terrible time. I hope you get some results soon and they can do something for your pain.

Kelly-Send me your dreamy bed!

Eileen-I’m sorry you got blasted yesterday. Rescue meds are wonderful things! Hope your day is going good.

Gotta run and get back to work. Hope everyone is doing better this afternoon.

Lynn

I have FINALLY received a call from my doctor's office. My ALT results are still elevated (liver function test). The nurse said the rest of the test they ran are normal. I have no idea what my doctor tested me for this last round.

The nurse is faxing over 26 pages of tests and notes to the gastroenterologist at this moment. She originally told me that if I don't hear back from them by Friday noon to give her a call. I asked her if there was ANYTHING that either she or I could do to speed things up since I've been hurting for about 3 weeks now. She gave me the number of the gastroenterologist's office and told me to call them in 30 minutes.

I'm hoping they can work me in this week. I'm worn out from this pain.

Glad you finally heard back, Heather.

I'm sorry you are still in so much pain. What did they give you for it? Pain is not only exausting, but also very depressing. But, I'm preaching to the choir - we all know that already, don't we! Roll Eyes

Hope you are feeling better soon. I'm surprised you are even going to work! Then again, this coming from the girl who went to work with a spinal headache and yacked all over the place. I was finally forbidden to go to work - doctors orders - until I could stand and not get dizzy and toss cookies. Plus, it wasn't all that professional for me to be laying on the floor on my breaks to relieve the pain a bit. We Migraineurs are some pretty tough chicks! Don't forget to take it easy though! Get your rest and hopefully you'll know more before the weekend. Fingers Crossed Fingers Crossed Group Hug

Hi everybody. Picture a redheaded Jamie saying this:

Heather, glad that you finally got the results back, and can get the ball rollling from there.

LOL_ I also did that during college- while trying to find a good antidepressent

Lynn- glad Dr/Boss was in a good mood... Seriously, you need to take care of yourself. Is it an insurance rejection, or just a lack of an Rx that's keeping you from your Singulair?

Eileen- hugs- hope your day and weather gets better!

Kat- New beds! Thumbs Up More sleep Thumbs Up Happiness!

U was out for a while earlier, but I'm tired again, and to take a nap. I'm having a TOTTALLY Painfree day. Wahooooooo!!!

Hugs to all,

Been MIA again awhile but this time for a reason other than migraines. I think I may have mentioned feeling fluish. It started back around the 12- 13th something like that. So I ended up in the ER that weekend and they were slammed- sent me home after ordering Tamiflu n giving me liquids. Well I was still sick but eventually made it back to work for a day only to be in the ER and then admitted to isolation last Thursday with an ischemic bowel. Yesterday had my first real food and came home. I am still feeling unwell as well as faint. Had planned to go back to work tomorrow but it isn't going to happen. Drove to the dr for an appt today and was thinking the whole time I should never have gotten behind the wheel. I am not ready to leave my house...maybe not my bed.

Worried because my appointment with Mayo is Tuesday and I don't have anything done including my narrative and finishing pulling my head related records from a 10" thick file...

I am sorry for those who are feeling unwell and those who had good things happen hurray! Too tired to address individually although I have read back a couple of days. Even typing is a physical drain right now.

Be blessed!
