Wow--
Who would have thought I'd start the morning. I'm up really early because DS and I are doing horses this weekend. DS isn't up yet, it's still too early to have to go out, so I've been enjoying myself this morning. You know, guys, the neat thing about big tractors is---dude, get up and power one of those things up and you feel, you know, like HOT STUFF in your John Deere cap, your special migraine earplugs and wrap around sunglasses! Seriously, they can be fun to drive. Glad to hear that many of you were doing pretty well yesterday. I hope the monster stays tamed, and the weather beautiful. Tracie |

Good morning!
Tracie you make me laugh - I always feel so powerful when I mow the lawn - and that's just a little mower. Get me on a tractor and watch out for the machisma! Well today I'm going to try to get the front porch cleaned off. It becomes a junkyard in the cold weather - I hate that because it is the entry to our house, but for months it seems too cold to go out and clean up. Especially if I'm not feeling well. I'm going to get rid of the left-over Christmas stuff and piles of newspaper and bring the porch swing up from the basement. Maybe I can prevail on Danny to hang the big bamboo blind we got last year - so we can sit on the porch swing after work without the setting sun going straight into our eyes. We love the porch swing, but the way it faces can be a problem. Have a great day, all. - Megs |

Good morning everyone,
It's a slow Sunday for sure. Thankfully, the thunderstorms yesterday didn't trigger a migraine, just a dull throb. Zanaflex seems to be working it's magic for me so I was able to get outside and do some gardening and even splurge at Kohl's on some shorts before the storms hit. My other shorts are to big and I've worn them the last two summers because I was to cheap to go out and buy new ones. I'm going to forum for a bit and then DH and I are going on a movie date to see "21", I hope it's good!! Then I need to start packing for my trip do Dallas next week. Tracie and Megs-glad you two are doing great!! I hope everyone else is too! Good morning all. It sounds like everyone is doing pretty good so far. I'm easing into the morning too. Still in bed (I have a laptop), petting the cat, but not yet up and about.
Had a great day yesterday. Drove about a hour away with my husband to a bass store so he could pick up a pedal he had fixed. While there, we heard about a fabulous deli and of course, we had to give it a try. It was wonderful! Will visit there again I'm sure when we head up to that bass shop. It's a frequent visit for my husband and I often tag along for company. There is also a great plus size dress shop down the street, though I didn't feel like looking in there yesterday. Today is looking good. Only have the usual dull headache I always wake up with. I'm hoping it will subside as I get moving (if often does). My husband has a bass lesson so I may run to the library while he's doing that. We need to run out to the mall sometime today. We also have to finalize our taxes and get that mailed off. It's all done but we need to look over it again to make sure we didn't got it all. I've had a streak of good days, the most I've had in months so I'm thrilled. I think hormones and weather are helping out though. We'll see how things go next week when my estrogen is due to drop. That is a big factor for me. Have a great Sunday. |

Good Morning,
Well I have been out already to my daughter's race and back. Had to be there at 7 for security duty. Rather a joke, but not too taxing and I got to knit. I'm going to head out to the yard earlier than yesterday in hopes of avoiding some of the heat related problems I had yesterday. Keep your fingers crossed please. Tracie I love the decription of your tractors. I used to love to drive the Suburban in heavy traffic, out of my way, I'm bigger than anyone!! Take care everyone. Good afternoon everyone. I'm back from a few days break - my back and shoulder muscles were getting pretty bad.
My head is not good today - I'm not sure what...oh, wait....it's 36 degrees and we have snow flurries and it's April 13. That could be it. I know the weather people were talking about a deep low pressure system over lower Michigan. That deep, it could affect me here. Dh has the next three days off! His employer grudgingly went along with the time off - the man is a work-aholic and expects dh to be, also. He needs a break. Kath is doing better in school - I found a chemistry tutor and we're meeting him tommorrow. Wish us luck. Deb |

Hey -
I'm checking in for a sanity/reality check. I felt great yesterday. Woke up this morning feeling okay, but not great, but wanting to feel great. Trying to pretend? Or make it be so through attitude? Who knows. Stayed up too late last night which is a trigger - we watched a movie with Rach who hasn't watched one with us in such a long time - so we waited for her before starting, which already was going to have me up past bed time! Now heavy clouds moving in, and I think it's affecting me. Adam was having a thousand fits over doing homework - D managed not to get in a shouting match with him, but Adam was making a lot of noise and I was getting upset. Felt like I might be prodromal and I cried. Then my head pressure started for sure. I took a walk which quieted the head down some. But I expect I'll have a mig by night-time. So - I have done a bunch of clean-up. And folded laundry, and cut up apples for tonight's dessert. Didn't get to the porch. And I need to be okay with that. The house is covered with dog hair and needs vacuuming and I can't do it. And I need to be okay with that too. Sigh. - megs |

I am liking our weather today. It is sunny and warm. Tomorrow is supposed to be the best day in a long time. 80 degrees! Wahoo!
I finished reading The Thirteenth Tale last night. Loved it! Today I think I'm going to put the little Eeyore kit I got on my stretcher bars and cross-stitch a little later on. Other than that, no plans for the most part. I might call my sister later. Another this-n-that kind of day. Dragondrool Forum Moderator ~~8=:>>>> |

Hi all. I'm definitely feeling cranky today. I finally filed my taxes this afternoon. I efiled, which means I don't have to mail anything in, but instead of a refund which I had hoped for, I ended up owing some money. Not a huge amount but enough to make me a little cranky. I qualify for the rebate, so that should be deposited into my account in the next few weeks - so at least I'll have that. Even still! My medical expenses were enough to deduct, but just barely, and overall I'm feeling cranky about the whole thing. (I know, who doesn't get cranky about taxes, right?)
Plus, it's cloudy today. We had some weather move in last night and I slept terribly, so my head is threatening. Grr. I don't have anything else I need to do today, so I'll poke around here for a while and then work on my knitting. I'll be flying to Boston in a month for a conference, so I want to finish this scarf for my mom for Mother's Day. I think I can do it. Hope everyone is enjoying the remainder of their weekend. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ Why do I capitalize Migraine? Oh now Tracie you're scaring me girl! The porch should stay on the front of the house! But if you want to drive that tractor up here to NJ I might find a few jobs around the yard...
Actually I had a little energy again and Danny was out there cleaning so I joined him. Need to vacuum and dust the porch yet and hang the swing, but we got all the junk off it. I'm lying down and resting now. Pressure in the head, not turning into anything, but I'm just taking it easy. - Megs |

Megs, TAKE IT EASY!!!
Tracie, LOL about the porch -- "where do you want it!!" Everybody else, great to read about how you're doing. Best warm wishes for all. I have had a just awful past 24 hours. My mig came back for the 4th day yesterday about 7pm. Which meant I started a course of Medrol. Which meant I didn't sleep well last night. Which meant I woke up in a massive fibro flare, in such pain I could barely move. I was ready for DH to just shoot me now. It has gradually lifted as the day went on. I'm back to feeling almost human, or what passes for human! Now I'm crossing my fingers that the mig doesn't recur in the remaining couple hours til bedtime. Holy toledo, this is a nasty disease. LauraSue. (I'm 55, have had severe migraines for over 4 years due to menopause, plus I have fibromyalgia. I take Imitrex plus Anaprox as an abortive and am working with my migraine specialist to find a preventive. I keep a detailed migraine diary and have made significant lifestyle changes to reduce my risk of migraines.) |

I have to agree with you there, LauraSue. The migraine depression is certainly hitting me today. *sigh* I'm about to put in a Netflix movie and dig out my knitting. If that doesn't do the trick I may be posting a vent later. Ugh. Some days I just don't know what gives. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ Why do I capitalize Migraine? Why wait on the vent, is it the drugs, the disease, the not knowing what will happen next.
Maybe my flower pots and some music will help. Cindy <url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] |
