Well I am back to some peace and quiet. I had dinner with DBF, his daughter, her son (3 y.o) and the two grandchidren he is watching for the weekend. It was very nice. After dinner DBF and I took the two little ones for a walk around the block. At 1.5 and 3 they are very easily distracted, but enjoy all the sights of the neighborhood. His daughter willingly did dishes. Which is really rather unusal.
The afternoon with MIL and ex SIL went ok. But I have to tell my ex SIL is just an annoying person and I really don't like her. I'll spare you the details. We got through alot of stuff. I have a few very nice washable Pendleton wool shirts I think DS will want. He is going through the plaid shirt phase. I wanted to get him one for Christmas, but man they are expensive and I have 2 for him!! Also a nice gray sport coat I believe will fit him. Most of the clothing we are sending to a men's charity as there are very nice dress shirts, jackets, slack etc that someone can get very good use out of. MIL has ID'd someplace and we're getting it ready to be sent over. Most of the time both of them seemed fine with everything. I have trouble figuring them out. His PJ's bothered SIL the most. Again, I don't undertand them. Nals is doing ok. I think I have her pain/anti-inflamatory meds set correctly and she is much more comfortable and mobile. So now I wait until I get the needle bx results of her liver. Megs, how great you got outside. You sound so happy. MJ, I also haven't heard this much perk in your "voice" in ages, it's nice. Droolie, what a great day you've had. Absoulte indulgance if you ask me. Sounds great. LauraSue, while the play sounded a bit long, you seem to have enjoyed yourself. That's good. And how was dinner? Deb, I'm sorry about Nikoli and your issues you're having to deal with. It's never easy is it? The good thing is you are standing by your word. There are many parent who don't. I know it's hard. Hoops, why does your DH keep running off to Korea? I have a feeling you've mentioned it, but it went right by me. Tracie I watched the Derby today while cleaning out at MIL's. I was thinking of you in your big hat and fancy dress. I do hope you had a great time. Sad ending to the race though. Val, I hope as I write this you are fast asleep and you had a manageable night at work. Take care everyone, Cindy |

I just wanted to say that I also saw Iron Man today. Not sure it was worth the fifty eight dollars it cost. I didn't pay for it. My dad treated me, my kids, and my brother's 3 kids. I thought for sure I wasn't going to be able to sit through the whole movie because the camera kept jerking around at the beginning--did anyone else notice that? I thought the movie was okay for a superhero flick. for me today was a good day--I actually ended up doing some cleaning, some driving, and some grocery shopping. All three of these things I haven't done a lot. Sleep sounds good to me now. |
