Hello gang -

Migraine last night. Not surprising. I had a very stressful and trigger-filled day yesterday. The good news is it was a really mild one.

I'm busy writing a post for the April blog carnival, on coping with a migraine - so I guess I had to get a migraine to keep my topic fresh!

I'm staying slow and quiet today. Will get to my desk and do some work, but I'll limit it to a couple of hours. I need to do a lot of house-cleaning, which I find surprisingly restful compared to professional work. Looking forward to a weekend when I don't have a course to take!

I hope you're all well today.

Heart - Megs

Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm so tired this morning. My son had a band concert last night that lasted until after 9:30. The concert was good. I just wish it didn't last so long. They gave out award to graduating seniors.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm getting a migraine today. My neck is hurting and I'm having the tingling in my fingers that I usually get before the pain sets in. Guess I should take my Zomig.

I hope everyone has a pain-free day. Weekends almost here! Thumbs Up

Good Morning Ladies,
I am sitting here with my laptop, a cat, and coffee. I am slow to start today also, but I need to get moving. Meg I am concerned you are finding housework relaxing. Have you considered professional help for these thoughts Hair Raising Perhaps you should call and discuss this with your DH. I'm sure he can make you see reason.

Heather you've had such a great run, weather and all this week, I'd take the abortive and run with it. No pain is a lot of gain in this situation.

I have 2 good movies to watch tonight, or more HGTV!! I rather miss the NCAA being over. I want to work in the yard tomorrow for as long as possible. The kids are with their dad and I have no obligations. I should be able to focus on it and stay with it all day if I wish.

Ok, I really need to get myself ready for work. Take care everyone.

Mornin' Ladies!

They're saying 70% chance of rain today. That's what they said yesterday, and the sun shone most of the day. I walked for an hour then weeded for about 3 later in the day. Managed to let sweat/sunscreen run into my eye. Ouch! It's still not right. I love getting dirty in the yard; it feels so good to take a shower and get clean.

DH's big deal in Atlanta got postponed for a month, so we're taking our trip to an uncle's 50th wedding anniversary this weekend.

MJ asked about the flooding in Miss. The river is high at Vicksburg; they're closing the floodwall bit by bit. A lot of roads and low-lying areas are flooded. But the levees will contain the crest. The Coast Guard has closed the river to barge traffic at night because the current is so swift.

Even through we're about 45 minutes from Vicksburg, we're not in the Miss. River Valley, so we're not affected. We're drained by the Pearl River, which can have nasty floods, too, but it only drains central Miss. It flows into the Gulf without flowing into the Miss. River. So we're fine.

It sounds like today is starting out pretty well. Heather, be a good girl and take your meds.

Good Morning All--

Sounds like everyone so far is having a good start to their day.

Gretchen--I'm so glad you're not have to go to the store by boat. That would take some of the fun out of shopping. Guess there must be something wrong with me lately. I'm wearing clothes right now that are 1 to 2 sizes too big, and never seem to get around to going shopping. I do hit Coldwater Creek whenever they send me a discount card, but in the last couple of years I've really changed. I used to LOVE going shopping!

Meg--Housework relaxing??? I don't do that either!!! I do well to keep things picked up, the laundry up to date and dinner cooked. But I am getting back to daily riding.

Cindy--a quiet time around the house must sound like heaven. With just DH and I at home, things are usually quiet until DS and wife come with grandson and then of course it's chaos. Can hardly wait for the new baby next month. The next one is a girl.

I have a long list of chores to get done today. I hope everybody has a great, painfree day.

I know, weird, huh? It's just that I spend so much time at my desk concentrating hard that moving around making things clean and shiny is a really good contrast. Not vacuuming, though. I'll let Adam do that tomorrow - he likes the noise!

BTW I put up my post on coping with migraine - I think it's funny. Full of stuffed animals.

Happy Friday All,

The storms really came in heavy last night. I went to bed at 11:00 and woke up at 12:30 to thunder and lightning. It was strange - my eyes hurt really bad, but no pounding in my head (the 2 usually go hand in hand). The lightning show was AMAZING!!! I should have taken my Imitrex, but I just went back to bed with my Wonnie over my eyes. What a mistake. I woke up this morning with a MIP (migraine in progress). Those are usually the WORST. Took my Imitrex, but now I feel like I'm in slow motion, which isn't all that great at my office job. Oh well, atleast I'm not in severe pain.

Tornado warnings in effect until 4:00 p.m. LOVELY... Roll Eyes

Here we go.... Big Wink

Blessings To All,

Sandi

TGIF, ladies!

Meg, sorry you got a mig, glad it was mild.

Heather, hope that Zomig does the trick.

Cindy, curling up with coffee, laptop and cat sounds wondrous.

Gretchen, three hourse of weeding?! Wow, good for you. Have a fun trip this weekend.

Tracie, glad to hear you're getting back to riding. And a granddaughter on the way! I love baby clothes.

Sandy, sorry to hear about your MIP. Hope you feel better soon. Hope the tornadoes stay away.

Me, I'm happy as the proverbial pig in mud, shall we say? Mig recurred last night as expected, but nothing to do today but full bed rest to nip it in the bud and limit it to two days. DH is watching the NY Ranger playoff game tonight. He is a BIG fan. We used to have season tix. The year they finally won the Stanley Cup, he cried. I'm serious, my big bad DH completely and totally cried! It was so sweet.

Hey, this is funny. Remember I said I was behind on my migraine diary? Well I started updating it this morning and although I had all the dates and times and meds, I couldn't remember what I'd been doing that triggered me. So guess what? I came here and read all my posts for since Apr 1 to see what I was doing! It was perfect, all the stuff I couldn't remember, I'd written about here!! A helpful tip in case the rest of you need it!

Painless days to all!

ohmigoodness, gretchen, stay safe!!!!

My mig came back so i'm now on day three, but i'd rather have that than a tornado. I have a phobia about them, saw one out our front window when i was little, too close for comfort, still gives me nightmares.

Make sure and let us know when the coast is clear so i can stop worrying, okay?

Good Afternoon (evening for some)Everyone,

I have been so busy the last few days I have not been able to get on the forum and check on my buddies. Miss you all. I finally kicked my migraine otta here Wednesday night. Thursday, I went on a field trip with Zach to Science Discovery Center, fun, but oh soooo noisy and crowed. Today, was off early in the day running errands, then lunch with some of my gal-pals (2 birthdays).

It was alot of fun, but the resturant we went to had flourescent lighting and was bothering my eyes. It was wierd, my best friend and I got in the car and she asked me if I was okay. I asked her why, and she said my eye was doing wierd things at lunch, she knew I was getting a migraine. What is wierd about this is, that Bill always know when I am starting to get a migraine by my eyes. He says I get a "thousand yard stare". I don't even know I am doing it. Does anyone else do this. Just thought it was interesting.

Anyways, tomorrow I am walking in the MS walk early in the morning. I think it would be great if we did it for Migraines Yes So, I will check in later on in the day after my 3 mile walk Hair Raising, if I can move LOL

I would love to write to each and every one of you, but there is too many....know that I am thinking of you and sending you hugs Group Hug
