MJ your drapes sound gorgeous! Here's a fun tip - if you go on BenjaminMoore.com and click on "personal color viewer" you can upload your photo of your room (with drapes in place) and then "paint" the walls in the photo with any of their paint colors. Danny and I did this when we completed the construction on this house - great fun! We spent hours "trying on" different color schemes.

I got my curtains cut out but not sewed yet. Oh well, it's a start. It's a fun batik pattern with orangey-yellow lemons on a blue-green ground. I had to cook dinner so that cut into my sewing time! But the migraine is gone.

Megs and Dar, thanks for the tip about Benjamin Moore's website. Somehow I never knew about it! I will definitely have to check it out.

Dar, DBF and I really like the look of the copper pipes as curtain rods, plus they are *much* cheaper than regular curtain rods! Hard to argue with that.

Megs, your curtains sound pretty. If it makes you feel any better, it's taken me two months to get around to hanging these up - and they were already sewn! Eeker Like I said though, there was a lot of ironing involved on my part, and drilling and such on DBF's part.

Megs, I feel like I'm at my wits end. Agree with me or not, but we stripped his room of all his toys. He'll have to earn them back. And, we found an empty box of granola bars in his bed (loft bed, can't see up in it.) I don't know why he sneaks food, we will let him eat whatever he wants - he's so skinny!

Droolie, I hope to the high heavens my pre-emptive muscle relaxer worked because I can't imagine how I would feel without it! Let's just say about every body part is screaming. But we sat in those darn chairs for four hours! Roll Eyes

But we had a great time with out friends, and good food, too!

Deb I hope you enjoy the lunch with friends. BTW I could totally identify with your struggles with Nikoli - we've had the same kind of bald-faced lying from Adam sometimes about homework. We have had to get ourselves in the habit of checking everything every day. One more thing to stay on top of.

Droolie,

I did not know that. Very interesting! Thanks.
