Hey all!

Wow I have not started on of these in a while!

Had dinner with my realtor last night - went well. I think I'm going to start RE classes in March. Gives me time to save up instead of impacting the normal budget.

Then the same day my mortgage guy called to tell me rates dropped. Funny!

Picking up scripts tonight to start my new med tomorrow. I'm excited!! Big Grin

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

Good morning all -

Busy day. I am leading a lunch seminar today and a lot of people are coming to it. I really am quite prepared but I can feel the stress mounting anyway. Doing my deep breathing and working on keeping my system calm... Blinking (I want a meditating smiley - what would that look like?)

Just wanted to check in with my buds to help me stay centered. I like speaking and I'm good at it, but it's rare to do it without a bit of a let-down headache or migraine after. Fingers Crossed

I love the topic Jenny started on the general discussion and will check in later when the day slows down some to participate in that.

Eileen - Good luck with the r.e. stuff - funny thing, my seminar topic today is on "Marketing to realtors."

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy day. Group Hug to all.

Heart - Megs

Good morning!

Eileen, I'm sure glad to hear your dinner meeting went well! Cool

Megs, I'm sure you'll be terrific at your presentation this afternoon! I'll be thinking of you!! Good Luck

Today, I'm at home. I'll be babysitting my two nephews all day (they are 2 1/2 and 1 month old!). I hope I'll do a good job! My son plays with my older nephew, so they're always busy. But I haven't had to change diapers in a LONG time!!!

Later today both of my kids have a special party at school for doing an optional school project. They'll make their own ice cream sundaes! (Maybe they'll have some extra for moms? Fingers Crossed) I guess I'll have a whole flock of kids with me. Both boys and both nephews will be coming along!! Hair Raising It'll be an adventure, anyway!!

Be well, everyone!

Ha! Got in here early.

Eileen, glad you had a good dinner. Nutmegan, good luck on your talk. I did some public speaking when I was with La Leche League and I remember getting the let down migraines.

Tried a new dinner last night - peach chicken. Although Kath requested it after seeing it on the food network, she wasn't thrilled about it. The peaches were too sour. DH wasn't wild about the rice wine vinegar. Razzer Picky crew to cook for.

Dh had his sleep study last night, he needed an increase in his pressure card. So tonight should be a peaceful night.

Late again. Been catching up on 3 days of being off the site.

I hope everyone is standing up to her challenges today. It sounds like a busy day!

I've been unpacking after my trip to my specialist in Nashville. Woke up at 3 this morning with about a 6. Debated with myself whether to do an Imitrex shot, a nasal spray, or a pill. Decided on the NS. Easier to find and to open and to take. I didn't want to wake myself up too much. Already had to take the dog out to pee-pee at 1am.

It's still about a 2, after another dose of Imitrex -- pill this time. Plus my Skelaxin and Anaprox. I see my massage therapist this afternoon.

Didn't get my walk in this morninng. I've got two toes that rub up against each other and make blisters. [Time for new shoes!] My band-aid trick wasn't working this morning -- burning between the toes before I got to the first cul-de-sac. I guess I'll ride the exercise bike instead. But I was looking forward to being outside after 3 days in airports and airplanes and hotels and doctors offices.

What's for dinner tonight? I'm thinking pork chops. We haven't had them in awhile. And I'll put a frozen pot roast in the fridge to thaw for the weekend. Kroger has pork loin on special this week. I may get two, one to cut into chops, and one to roast whole. Then again, I might not get any.

I hope the rest of the day goes well for everyone!

Gretchen

It's time for afternoon tea at my house.

Eileen, it sounds like you have an exciting change coming. Enjoy it.

Jenny, I know what you are experiencing today with the little ones and an ice cream social. Try to enjoy it all. I know the kids will have a blast. Gosh, you've gotten me to wanting ice cream, despite the fact my feet haven't been warm for weeks. Blinking

Gretchen, I hope the massage helps.

Deb, enjoy tonight's rest. Zzzz'z

My girls seem to feel some better today, and I attacked my three-day migraine last night with rescue medicine. (Yesterday got really ugly.) Despite being wiped out, my head is a big improvement. Thumbs Up

Now if I can only come up with a solution for my 2-yr. old teasing the 3-yr. old just for fun, then I can move on to my next challenge, dinner.

Happy day to everyone else too!

Liz

Hi again -

Just checking in - lunch talk went well, well attended, then sure enough the beast sunk it's claws in my brain as soon as I got done. It waited til everyone was gone and it could have all my attention to itself. Mad

Got home and Imitrex & I are having a little lie-down to see if we can send the beast away. Got to take Adam to a dr. appointment at 4:30 so hoping I can knock this out - and hoping I'm not too spacey from Imitrex to drive - usually okay after a few hours - we'll see.

Gretchen, glad you're back! Deb hope the night is quiet - Jenny have fun with all those little boys! Tawsha I hope you can knock this one down after you get your son - Dar glad you're feeling well today! Laura I hope that Zomig is working.

Resetting the counter again - phooey - but 8 days was a good run!

- Megs

Gretchen, dh works for a podietrist, he has designed a whole line of foot care products. If you call 1-866-576-7034 and ask about buying toe spacers, they might help. The doctor's name is Jeffery Brooks and someone will answer the phone identifying the company as Walk Healthy. Tell them Deb sent you! Wink

Well, it's still morning here - barely - but by the time I click "post" it will probably be the afternoon.

DBF and I did not make chicken paella last night. We both forgot that it's a slow-cook recipe, so we're going to try it this weekend instead. Oh well. Roll Eyes DBF did make some delicious beans and rice with red beans, peas, corn, tomato juice and chicken broth for the rice (instead of water). I'll probably eat some leftovers for lunch today.

My morning started off late. I woke up at 9 (I'm supposed to be at work at 9) so I didn't get in until late. Wasn't a big deal though. One of the guys on my team asked me last night to finish something up for him so he could go home. (He was tired, poor thing.) Devil He asked me at 5:45 (I work till 6) and said it would only take "30-45 minutes". And it *had* to get done before I left because my boss needed the report first thing in the morning. So I didn't leave work until 6:45. I was pretty irritated, to say the least, especially since my migraine pain was at about a 5 by the evening. Mad So I definitely didn't feel guilty coming in late today.

There's no way I can respond to everyone, so - if the beastie is attacking you, I'm sending good thoughts so you can feel better. If not, may today stay pain-free for you.
