Hey all!

Wow! It's COLD here in NJ! It took 10 min. just to get my car to turn over! It just couldn't get there! Finally it started! It was screaminig at me "it's too cold!! Take me to Texas!!!"

Anway - I'm here at work, woke up, feelin good - so far...I really hope it says that way!!!!!

MJ - I saw yesterday that you mentioned you tried Imitrex and you are iffy on it? I feel the same way. It's good when I have no where to be, but if I am at work, no way! Have you tried Frova? That is the only tripan I've found I can take and still function.....Hey, try all that you can till you find the one that works the best, right??!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day!!!!

Brrrrr...It's cold.

My car's heater didn't want to let me have the benefits of its output until I got into my work parking lot. Fine help that was.

I have a psychiatrist appt this morning. I want to switch sleep meds, 'cause mine isn't working that well...we shall see. I just printed out a list of current medications for her- makes things easier...

I'm exhausted for some reason. I want to sleep at my desk.

I'm nervous- have to talk to coworker about data entry stuff from yesterday- how it's a migraine trigger- and he has to find someone else to enter it...

Mostly, I want to sleep.

Later,gator!

Just talked to coworker.

Made to feel really bad. Guilt trip central. "What CAN you do now with your migraines."

"Everything else," I said.

More guilt trip. I have a feeling that I'm gonna get an email from my boss in a few.

But I know I have you guys- and y'all got my back on this!

Not as tired, and feel like a load has been lifted from my shoulders.

Oooo Jamie, I'm feelin' ya! Take that guilt trip, imagine it being on a piece of paper you can crumple up, crumple that thing and toss it where you won't be able to find it again!!!! And you go on doing the everything else that you can do, really well.

It's so cold i don't even want to go downstairs, let alone out. Upstairs is the warmest. Weather-stripping on our kitchen windows came loose and it's too darn cold to go out and fix it. I've been working with the laptop in my warm armchair in my sunny bedroom for an hour and a half. Got to go off and lead a lunch seminar in about 45 minutes, tho. Bet you no-one shows in this weather. Sunny, windy, 18 degrees.

I've got to remember my sunglasses out there! I cut the caffeine down again today and I've been off sugar 2 1/2 days now, my head's feeling pretty clear. Send your best avoiding temptation thoughts and prayers my way! I'm sending my supporting ones for whatever you're struggling with today.

Cheers!

Got major aura symptoms. Haven't had an attack in a week so it's time.

Topamax hasn't kicked in yet. I'm up to 50 mgs now. Thursday I move up to 75 mgs.

Cold, cold, cold down here at least for us. It was 15o when we woke up.

Will read a few more posts as I can. Won't push myself.

Love you all. Coffee is good. Wish I had a fabulous cheese danish and toast with quince jelly but will content myself with a boiled egg and some oatmeal.

Hi Eileen and Jamie!

I'm sending warm sunshine your way!!!Smiler (We have a little sun here in PA, but it's still FREEZING!!!)

Jamie, hang in there girl! Don't go on that guilt trip...sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and your health!! You're right, we're ALWAYS here for you!!! I'll be thinking of you today!

Here at my house, I'm getting ready to do school with my younger son. (He's in preschool, but he still likes to spend an hour or two every day working on reading and math stuff with Mom.) DH is sick with what looks like strep throat. I guess we're going to pass that along here...my son already had it.

Tomorrow is my HA specialist appointment. Fingers Crossed I've got a couple of airplane rides in store. I'm not wild about airline travel. DH says I'm a bit of a wimp.

Anyway, stay warm everyone! Happy Thursday!

The kids went back to school today - dh usuall drives Kath to the bus stop, but couldn't today. She did not look dressed warm enough, but at least she had a hat. What is it with teenagers not wanting to dress warm enough?

The house is quiet, I have some things I need to do, but after 12 days of staying up late and sleeping late, I think I need a nap.

Jamie-I am sending you the biggest hugs right now! I hate the "what can you do" question. It always made me want to yell, everything else but this, I am a darn good worker and very dedicated!!! Do you think they would ask that of someone who had a different disease? Nope. Sorry, I shouldn't have turned that into a rant, it just peeves me that you have to deal with that. I pray that everything worked out for you!! I am here for you! Group Hug Heart

I woke up almost pain free today so that is a major plus! I am still limited by my tailbone injury but it is getting better everyday. I even gave my plants a shower. Literally, I put them in the tub and turned the shower on...they love it! Now, I have to wait for the kids to come home from school to lift them for me LOL.

I am also catching up on paying bills, eewwww, filing and writing a letter to Dr. K for my visit in 11 days. I'm with you Jenny, I have to fly to see him but I know it will be worth it Yes Good luck on your travels!

I keep looking out my window for some more snow showers but none so far. I loved watching them yesterday and the kids were so excited you would have thought it actually stuck. Guess that is the big difference between us; I grew up in the Northeast and they spent most of their lives down South up until two years ago. It makes me appreciate the snow that much more.

Hope everyone has a pain free and wonderful day!

Deb-I don't know what the deal is with teenagers and not dressing warm. My boys are terrible about it, I have to remind them to put their winter jackets on. They complain it is cold out but don't have the common sense to dress for it. My daughter, on the other hand looks like a tiny marshmellow with all her garments; winter coat, zipper sweater, hat, scarf, gloves...must be because she is still little.

Hope you get your nap!

Hey!

Jamie - if it makes you feel any better - I am ready to just walk out on my job today. I've had it and I really just don't care anymore. Yep, the people I work with finally got me to that point. I really just can't stand to be at a job I used to love. And the kicker is, it's not the job - it's the people that work here!

UGH!!!!!!!!!!! If only we could drink at our desks and it wasn't a trigger!!!! Razzer

Good morning everyone! (Or afternoon for you east coasters.)

I had an acupuncture appointment last night. I was way overdue - I had been going 2-3 times per week up until Christmas, but my doctor was closed so I was out of luck for 2 weeks. It was good to go last night and I definitely needed it, but she did some cupping on my neck and right shoulder, so I have some nasty-looking purple circles today. And one of them I couldn't hide. It looks like a gigantic, perfectly circular hickey. Thumbs Down I couldn't find the one turtleneck I own when I was getting dressed this morning, so I had to make do with a collared shirt.

I didn't sleep well last night. I was horribly nauseous (as bad as I used to be a few months ago) and got dizzy whenever I laid down and closed my eyes. Finally fell asleep around 2:30 am. Had an awful dream about my mother dying. It took me forever to drag myself out of bed, and I woke up with worse migraine pain than usual. It's going to be one of those days! There's a huge storm system coming through today, and another tomorrow, so I'll be suffering a bit. And I'm already at my triptan limit for the week. Ugh. But enough of that ranting.

Eileen, I have tried Frova. It doesn't seem to work too well as an abortive for me (though I haven't tried it enough times to tell for sure). It works extremely well for a short-term preventive when I fly. Plus my neuro just gives me samples rather than having me fill a script for it, since I don't use it that much. And I know what you mean about loving your job but hating the people. There is a guy on my team that I could really do without!

Sorry to hear that everyone is having such cold weather! It's in the 40s here and raining, which is normal for this time of year.

Jamie, your coworker that gave you a guilt trip is seriously lame! Devil Glad that you did talk to him though. At least now you don't have to think about it.

MW, hopefully the beastie doesn't attack too badly today.

Everyone else, hope that you're staying warm and pain-free today. Heart Group Hug Back to work for me - it's going to be a long day.

Jenny,

I am not so crazy about flying, either. I am not really scared, just uncomfortable. You will be fine - just stay calm and relax. And we will be waiting for an update. Good Luck

Deb,
I know exactly what you mean - my step-daughter walks around in flip flops year round! It is crazy - she says she is cold, but hates to have anything on her feet most of the time. Skillet
I am the opposite, I wear socks 24/7 in the winter. My feet stay cold. Teenagers are just stubborn and think they know everything, huh?
