Good morning - trying to make it a quick good morning, but I do love to gab... Roll Eyes

I think I may be developing a mymigraineconnection forum addiction. Any cure for that? LOL

Feeling good this morning, yesterday was a good day. I got some exercise yesterday and I'm down 5 pounds from my big post-Christmas weight peak. Getting back on track in my business and feeling productive. We had a tiny sprinkle of snow last night - not enough to delay school so the kids were sad, but enough to make me sleep really well! Love those negative ions!

US Census chose our household for the "American Community Survey" - various questions about disabling conditions but I notice they don't mention migraine...

I hope everyone is well today. I'm actually going to take a walk!

- Megs

Yay on losing 5 lbs! And waaaaah! I want snow too! Crying

I'm here by the hardest. I'll just take spring water this AM.

I'm itching my head off from that contrast dye reaction yesterday still. Elder Assistant Offspring is going to get my predisone filled in a few minutes so I can get started on it today. I took benadryl so I'll feel better in a few.

Whew. Every time I have an allergic reaction, I remember how bad they are.

Everybody have a good day!

Mornin Yall!

Nutmegan, we only got light dusting of snow, but worse all the rain we got yesterday froze solid. So our 4 boys did get to sleep in! We have a 2 hour delay. Darn THAT close to a big snow storm. Got 1/2 inch of rain yesterday followed by quick cold front. Woulda had a great snow if the cool down came just a few hours early!

Rescheduled my sons dentist appt. to this afternoon, and as I was typing this, more snow came down. Its still just as frozen now as it was at 5 this AM, and my oldest is scheduled to be picked up in 15 min. so we are watching close to see if they just close.

At least migraine pain so far is better than yesterday, only mild so far Fingers Crossed

Have a great day yall! Group Hug

Check it out! It's before 11am, and I'm here!

Megs -- Yay on your weight loss! It's SO easy to gain weight over the holidays. I hit a plateau that I'm still trying to break through. I'm going to weigh in today, so we'll see how I'm doing.

Suzie -- What are we going to do with you! What was your allergic reaction? My brother is allergic to the iodine in the contrast junk, so they can't do a contrast study on him.

Walked an hour this morning. Not too cold, except for the back of my neck, which can get into my head. Don't know what else to do. I'm wearing a scarf and a mock-turtleneck. I guess I could try a real turtleneck tomorrow. If I can get out. 90% chance of rain tomorrow, but it's not supposed to start until about 9am. Any ideas on how to keep my neck warm, one that won't overheat the rest of my body?

The big activity in Mississippi is speculating about who is going to get indicted or plead guilty next in a judge-bribing scandal that is exploding. So far, there are two judges, six lawyers, one former state treasurer, and another lawyer, a former DA, involved. It's the US Attorney and FBI doing the investigation and indictments, not the state, although the Mississippi Bar is initiating disbarment proceedings against the ones who plead guilty. So far, everybody's plea agreement involves jail time.

The biggest name involved is Dickie Scruggs, who was very prominent in the tobacco lawsuit that made the cigarette manufacturers pay more than $1 billion to the states. He's only been indicted. He made over $1 million in fees on that one. Another one is a guy we were in law school with. He plead guilty before he was even indicted. Another name being batted around, but I can't believe he's involved, is one of DH's former law partners.

One of the lawyers at DH's office is on several gossip lists that have proved to be pretty accurate so far. DH and I spent a good bit of time yesterday e-mailing back and forth. Today, DH is going to take a break from crooked lawyers and get some real work done. We'll gossip when he gets home tonight.

It's appalling, especially for us, both being lawyers. And personally knowing some of the people involved. It's surreal.

I made chicken noodle soup last night. Kroger had bone-in chicken breasts on special for 99 cents a pound. We'll have leftovers tonight, with a nice salad.

Have a great day! -- Gretchen in Mississippi.

I am still trying to get to the gym I pay for every month ha ha. Gretchen, chicken noodle soup sounds great!! I am lying low today because the beast got me while driving my son to school today, popped a maxalt and hoping for the best. All the Best Heart

Hi everyone!

Well, we got a dusting of snow up here too. It was about a 1/2" that turned to ice overnight. Luckily (or unluckily?) I only live about a block away from the office so I didn't have a problem getting in. Smiler

My big news is that I found out yesterday I'm getting a promotion and big raise!! Yay!! There won't be much of a change in responsibility with this promotion, more a recognition of the responsibilities I've already taken on in the last 18 months. This is such great news, especially since I achieved the promotion even with daily headaches and migraines. Big Grin

Megs - congrats on your weight loss! I bet it feels wonderful to be back on track with your business, too. You go girl!

Suzie - I'm sending lots of good thoughts your way so you can get better from your allergic reaction super fast!

Tawsha - I think our snow changed over to freezing rain last night, which is why everything is icy. I was surprised to see it on the ground when I woke up this morning - snow never sticks around that long here!

Gretchen - that's crazy that you know some of the people involved with that scandal.

Hope everyone's having a pain-free (or at least low pain) Tuesday! Heart

Way to go MJ on the promotion & raise - whoo-hoo, migraineurs making good! I love when I see that chronic pain doesn't mean we can't live productive lives!

Gretchen that is so wild with the scandals - kind of thing makes me glad I'm not practicing law anymore - mine-fields everywhere!

Suzie - hang in there! Hope that reaction is out of your system soon!

Dar hope the maxalt helps Fingers Crossed .

Eileen we need to do a snow-dance - I know it's just New Jersey, but surely we should have at least some snow this winter - stupid global warming!

Well, I had an adventure today. Sitting in the middle of a session at a conference- and I felt a migraine coming on. (The one yesterday never materialized, so I still had that frova on me- thank goodness)

All of a sudden, my stomach lurched...

And I had to grab my stuff and run out of the room. Threw up over and over and over again. No zofran in my professional bag. (smooth, jamie, eh?) So happens there was a line for the bathroom Embarrassed And when I emerged, every one of the 10 people on line asked if I was okay. Embarrassed I nodded.

Took the frova when I thought I could keep things down and headed back to my hotel, risking tossing my cookies on the shuttle bus, only 'cause I didn't want to walk- feeling weak. Made it back to my hotel, head throbbing, all aura-ish. Couldn't figure out how to use the key card to my room- couldn't really SEE which way to do things. Had to have housekeeping help me- when they saw me crying outside my room, they looked at me suspiciously. I had to show ID, but I had it, luckily.

Came back to sleep. Don't think I can go back to another session today...I'm still not feeling good. But I've kept down a pack of twizzlers and some of my ham and cheese sandwich. Not so much for the breakfast stuff.

Good news, nutmegan: There is no known cure for mymigraineconnection forum addiction. I have it, too.

Jamie, feel better soon. That's a rotten thing to happen on a trip.

My day was uneventful. I worked at our location all day, and got a fair amount accomplished.

My voice lesson is this evening.

Dar, this folder is open for anyone to talk about how their day is going. Of course we don't mind you joining us.

It rained real hard, then overnight got very cold very quickly and froze up good(ya perhaps some freezing rain too) Roll Eyes but didnt snow till early this am. and then it was very little. Our snow was on top of the ice instead of ice on top of snow Big Wink

Well Dentist appt. took forever, but checked out good. Finally time to go do the Orthodontist first consult though. STILL waiting for a good snowstorm that'll get a few days off for the kids!

Well, it started out a good day... Worked, took Adam to drum lesson and Rachel to choral rehearsal, came home and sat down to the nice dinner Danny cooked and the steel band started tightening around my head. Drat!

Got this new pattern going - evening migraines - I don't know what's triggering them, Very frustrated! Just took the imitrex. A little nauseous which I haven't been for awhile

Cross your fingers for me - supposed to lead a program for 5 clients tomorrow - don't want to have to cancel. Double drat with buggers on top!
