Good morning everyone!

I hope everyone who felt icky yesterday are better today. My nap did the trick Thumbs Up

I'm just popping in real quick while DH is getting ready. I'm taking DD to the doctor. She bonked her over the weekend and is beginning to complain of a headache. The strange thing is it's in the wrong place from where she hit her head so, after my shower I'm headed over to the doctor's. Fingers Crossed

Feel great today everyone and for those you are are icky Group Hug

Today is laundry. (Who am I kidding, everyday is laundry with my big family.) I'm getting the kids' spring clothes out of the attic and washed. Then it's the big "hand-me-down" game. They grow so fast.

I have a book club meeting tonight, which will be fun. I chose the book The Eyre Affair.

Laura, I hope the doctor visit goes well.

Laura I hope everything is okay with your daughter.

Liz enjoy your book group - mine's supposed to come over tonight but I am sick so I don't think that's happening.

Horrible icky sinus infection is still horrible and icky. I am on antibiotics - which Dr. gave me reluctantly yesterday. He doesn't really believe in them. Well, I don't either but they work on these stupid sinus infections and I'm oh so good and take pro-biotics after and all that, and don't go ask for the prescription until I've tried all the natural methods with no luck. he was giving me a hard time last night "Sometimes I like to pretend that MD after my name actually means something." Devil I love the guy, and I think he's just kidding but I was in no mood.

Too much crying this morning. Migraine danger level high. I griped at length in the other folder. Ready to suck it up and get to work (from bed). I'm gonna fold laundry! And then work on my web sites - woohoo!

Good Morning All--

Well, I got up this a.m. and went to work at 8 a.m.--only to discover that the schedule was changed and I don't work today! That's ok though, I got my keys to the pharmacy which just came in, a name badge ordered and was able to talk to my boss about hours. She wanted to know if I was ready to pick up some more, which I am.

Megs--Sorry to hear about your sinus infection. Sounds to me like you definitely needed antibiotics just from the length of time you've been dealing with this. True, the trend is to assume sinus infections are from viruses these days, but when anything that persists like that you have to figure on a bacterial complication. At least that's the way it works with me, and a lot of patients I come in contact with.

Laura--glad your nap did the trick yesterday. I kept having a bit of trouble all day and again this morning. Of course the weather guy keeps talking nasty rain, hail and tornadoes--don't suppose that might have anything to do with it--ha?!?

Liz--I'm really getting spoiled. My 79 year old mother is still insisting on doing my laundry since I can't carry anything. But I still feel incredibly guilty--she's 79!!!!!

Everybody have a good day. I suppose we might have to watch out for being flattened or blown away--but that's normal for Texas.

Ticker reset. Well- 12 days. That's my new record. And I loved every one of them.

Got nailed yesterday night, and am postdromey today. Add to that the elbow pain, and I'm one unhappy Jamie.

I'd write more, but I'm on a project deadline. Just wanted to pop my head in here and say "hi" to everyone.

Second day of spring break and it's still raining. I'm gonna have two very bored kids on my hands.

Trying the third and final chicken soup recipe tonight - this one gets the white and wild rice instead of the brown I've been using so dh could eat it. I'm just trying to get the spices nailed down for sure. Then you wouldn't believe all the stuff I'm going to have to write for the contest entry.

Dog wouldn't go outside in the rain so he did his business in the house. Big EWWWWWW! I hope this rain lets up soon - we've got flooding going on.

Megs, I hope you feel better. Laura, let us know how your daughter's doctor appointment goes. Jamie, 12 days is fantastic.

Now that I'm in a better mood I'm here to say hello!

I started off with a TTH this morning. Still not sure if it was migraine or not - but since I had all other migraine symptoms except for a unilateral head pain (head pain still felt TTH, not migraine) I'm resetting my ticker.

Don't fear my dears! I made it past my personal best!!!!! which is great for me!!!! I have not made it this long since I started Topamax which now seems like ages ago! I made it PAST two weeks. I'm having a party! Birthday Cake

And, it really wasn't that bad, I'm surprised I was able to bounce back fast. I don't even feel postdrome...or I should say...yet. The Migraine/TTH whatever it was - is gone - and it was not half as bad as I've had before, so that is wonderful.

Tracie - how's DH doing?

Megs - Keep your head up honey! Hope you are feeling better soon!!!!

Laura - good luck at the doctors with daugher!

Jamie - we had a good gosh darn run didn't we!!!!!

Liz - I have some laundry too if you'd like! Razzer I'd love to do a book club thing, but these days I don't read as fast as I used to....not enough time for it I'm afraid.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hi, and good afternoon, ladies.

This does seem to be the ladies's tea room, doesn't it? Ah, well. At least we don't have a sign on the door "No boys allowed!"

I've been having some migrainy symptoms this morning, but nothing has hit yet. Chances are it will, given the time since the last one, my period should start today, AND there's a front coming through with rain later. I was feeling bad enough I grabbed an ice pack and lay down, which seems to have helped, but I also don't want to ignore the symptoms in case it is really a migraine so I can take an Imitrex right away.

Laura, I hope everything's okay with your daughter. Let us know right away, okay? Bumps on the head are not to be taken lightly so good for you for taking her right to the doctor.

Liz, I remember the hand me down days from my childhood. I'm the oldest so my sister was the one who got stuck. I'm not sure she's ever really forgiven me. Big Grin

Megs, you poor thing, feel better soon. That's so not fair to have a sinus infection on top of everything else. We should be immune, don't you think? We should be given a special pass to get out of having anything else wrong with us. Maybe Teri can arrange that, what do you think?

Tracie, don't you know that 79 is the new 69? My mom still does all her own laundry and she's 81. No guilt necessary, just accept the gift from the universe as compensation for everything else.

Jamie, you poor thing, too. So not fair (but congrats on the 12 days). I'm going to file a complaint with the powers that be on your behalf, just as soon as I can figure out which department is responsible! In the meantime, here's some cake:
Birthday Cake

Deb, I hope you'll share that chicken soup recipe with us when you have it perfected. Sounds yummy!

Eileen, congrats on the long run, that's great!

Nothing on the schedule for today, other than putting away the laundry that our housekeeper just did, reading the paper and New York magazine (all about Eliot Spitzer, the cover alone is priceless, what a moron), some Spider Solitaire, and some time on one of my other forums. Plus I should call my mom. PBJ for lunch, chicken salad and leftover mashed potatoes for dinner.

And keeping an eye on my head...or is that a mixed metaphor??!! Big Grin

Good day, everyone.

oops, my head hurts, the beastie might have just struck. Later.

Lil man started up ear infection was up crying in pain a good protion of the night. Tried the heat pack, didnt help like it does normal, and the tylenol w/codine barely helped. Gave him some more this AM and that seemed to help. Now boht ears hurt though.

My neuro wanted me to pu my nemenda from 20 mg a day to 40 mg a day. I had been taking 10 am, 10 pm. Last night I took 20mg, but this am, kept the 10mg the same. But I feel really wierd. I feel drunk or high or something. Pinpoint pupils, humming/buzzing lips face hands etc., lightheaded and spacey and like im not really in my body, all sences muted big time, ringing ears... real trouble concentrating all wierd feeling. Migraine got real bad yesterday too, so maybe part the midrin and phenegrin hung over too who knows.

Good Day everyone,

I am having one of those days where you have a million things to do and you can't seem to get anything done Uggg. (So, I thought I would just ignore my duties for a minute and cruz the forum, much more fun Big Grin)

Laura-Hope your DD is okay, Let us know what the doc says.

Liz-I was the tenth child in a family of 11 kids, I know the "hand-me-down" game. Except they were so out of style when they got down to meLOL.

Megs-Hang in there. Sending you non-stressful, healthy cyber hugs Group Hug

Tracie-Glad you got the day off today Enjoy!

Jamie-12 days!! That was a great run. Hope that elbow starts to feel better soon Flower

LauraSue-Get that Beastie before it strikes Devil

Like I said earlier, I have tons of things to catch up on today, bills, paperwork, getting thing ready for the Keeler center YAHOO, etc. My head is clear, except a TTH, not a migraine and my back in tense. Hi everybuddy,

Just stopping by for a quick second to check in! Sorry, not enough time to talk to you all one-by-one...just know I'm thinking of you all!!

Eileen and Jamie, congrats to both of you on your pain-free time! Now let's hope you're starting another long streak without migraine! Fingers Crossed

I just got back from taking my 7-year-old to the dentist. He had to have a baby tooth pulled (it broke into 2 pieces and was really bothering him). He's TERRIBLY afraid of the dentist and I was really worried that he was going to throw a great big fit! But the staff at the dentist's office was really patient and kind. They explained everything, gave him a little Nitrous, and everything was done before we knew it! Big Grin They even got his teeth cleaned while they were at it! Thumbs Up

That's all for now. My nerve block is still keeping my head pretty well under control (pain is there a little, but it's manageable).

Talk with you all again soon!

Good afternoon everyone. I haven't posted in a few days. I've not been in the mood I guess.

I went back to my migraine specialist yesterday. It was disappointing. I guess I'm impatient and I want results YESTERDAY! I can't complain about anything specific, just a general lack of movement in progress. Everything he says makes sense and I understand why he wants me to do what he wants me to do but still . . . I want the pain to go away.

If I feel kinda okay I will go to dinner with my daughter and her husband tonight. They recently moved to a new condo and I haven't seen it yet. It's an hour drive (if the traffic is good). I don't look forward to that because it can take me a couple hours if traffic is a nightmare. Yet I want to see her new place.

My husband is being a poop on top of everything. Oh well, I keep telling myself "this too shall pass."

Hope everyone else has a good day.
