Good Morning,
Laura I just love workman in the house. They always ask questions I'm clueless about. But a new d/w. Almost makes you want to dirty some up to test it out!! I"m sure the family will help out.

Well my DS is home with a migraine this am. The last one lasted all day and advil did little to help it. He of course could not make time in his busy 16 year old schedule to get into the doc to talk about abortives. Maybe this will help him free up some time. While he is easier than his sister to deal with. Some things he just does not want to do. I gave him cafffine, advil and ice and sent him back to bed. He will sleep.

The depokate is working. I have been afraid to say it, but it is. I don't have a migraine. So far my hair is intact and I've not gained weight, but it's only been 4 days, so there is time. With going off the zonogran my mind is clearing. Man was it fuzzy, oh so fuzzy. I had no idea. I can't believe I worked as long as I did.

I have a doctor's appointment, but will check in later and see how everyone is. Take care.

Cindy

Hi all -

Got a good night's sleep last night, yay, and a little work-out this morning. It's amazing how much better life looks/feels! Smiler

After I worked for days with a clunky old program on creating a web page, Danny has come to my rescue and showed me how to use a better program - so I'll have a new site up for the e-mail course I'm giving - I'm so excited! Thumbs Up Should have that up today. Then I've got a newsletter to write and get out and some calls to make to try to generate some short-term contract work.

Tummy upset again. Seems like the old ibs is flaring up more lately. Blecch. I ignored it yesterday and ate all kinds of yummy indigestible things - paying for it now. Razzer Today is a tea and toast day. I lose a few pounds for a few days and then put it all right back on again.

My head is feeling much better this week though, last few weeks were almost non-stop low-level pain between migraines. For the last three days I have actually not felt like the next migraine is just waiting to happen. That's good news!

Laura good luck with your busy day - it will be good to have a dishwasher working again, won't it?

Be well everyone! It's a sunny day going into the mid-fifties here. Snowdrops are open and daffodils peeking up. Hooray!

Morning All..

Boy, we got some busy bees today!!

Megs and Laura, glad to hear you are starting to feel better! Hope it stays that way!

Cindy, I hope your son starts to feel better soon and Good Luck at your doctor appointment!

It's another laundry day for me. I don't mind today, it's a beautiful out, I am going to take advantage of the clothes line and relax a little in between! I think spring fever is starting to set in.

I don't have a ticker but I have to say I am 4 whole happy days without HA or MIG pain. No extra meds and I feel good!

Nothing exciting going on here. Laundry and I need a haircut.

Dinner last night was chicken parmesean and the family raved about it. Smiler

Laura, I hate workmen in the house. When we had our satellite dish installed I made a Saturday appointment so dh would be here. Smooth as silk!

Megs, what kind of email course are you setting up?

Cindy, I hope your ds is doing better. At least he's old enough to get abortives - I wouldn't put 10 year old Nikoli on anything like a triptan yet.

Hi all.

Glad for those of you who had a good night last night. I had a pretty bad one myself - an 8. Could barely keep the meds in me but thank God they finally kicked in.

I also think that the stress of all this craziness is starting to get to DH. He can't sleep when he is upset and so when I woke up in the middle of the night from my imitrex-nap we had a long talk. We are both really frustrated. Between the meds or the side effects life has not been easy. Some days I have a migraine all day long, struggle through work cause I'm out of sick leave, come home, take my meds and then pass out for the night. Not the ideal marriage to be sure. I think he jsut needs to find someplace to vent, like I have here. I told him he is welcome to but not sure he is ready yet.

I got the results from my last string of blood tests - all normal. I'm supposed to hear about my EEG later today maybe.

Laura - good luck with the electrician dude and your appointment.

Cindy - it is great that you are doing well on the depakote. And that your haze is lifting.

Megs - glad your head is doing better and hope the rest of you joins it soon.

Lori - enjoy the outside and this long stint from pain.

Hi guys,

Tough day yesterday...posted about it in vents.

Today, I'm joining the laundry crowd. I don't mind actually doing it, it's the folding that gets me down...

I'm trying to get the house in order. Tomorrow, I go to Philly for the day. (Actually, it's just a regular doctor's appointment, but it takes the whole day cause I fly there.) DH will be coming. Grandma will take care of the kids this time.

Laura and Megs, glad you're having a good head day today! Megs, take care of that tummy! Give it lots of soft, bland food!

Cindy, sorry about DS's head...Maybe his priorities will change and he'll get to the doctor after this one! Fingers Crossed I'm happy to hear your Depakote is doing the trick!! Smiler

Lori, 4 days is good!!! Thumbs Up Let's hope your streak continues!!

Deb, chicken parm sounds good! My family loves eggplant parm...maybe I'll do the chicken next time...

Have a terrific Thursday, everybuddy!

Heartjenny

ps--Laurelin, you snuck in there! I'll be thinking of you and hoping today is much better than last night! I sure do hope Dh stops by here...maybe if he just reads a little? Migraine disease sure is tough on our families! Group Hug

Yay, made it to Tea Room before noon!! My migraine came back last night so that makes two days in a row. Not surprising given I went out to the doctor and drug store AND it was Day 14 of my cycle. (I used to get two a month, one around ovulation and one around the time I got my period. Ah, the good old days!)

So today I'm doing my full bed rest thing. Which is easy since I feel like a limp dishrag. Got up, had breakfast, came right back to bed. Just checked email, SIL's cat had kittens (she didn't get it spayed in time, shame on her), a friend wants to stop by to visit next week, and my personal trainer from the gym emailed to say she was sorry I couldn't work out for a while but she hoped my migraines got better.

Already lost two games of Spider Solitaire and checked out the newest funny cat pictures at the lolcat site. http://icanhascheezburger.com/ Next maybe I'll do a crossword puzzle online. Or take a nap. Zzzz'z Decisions, decisions! Big Grin (Thank goodness I don't have to work anymore, as I've said many times. No way I could do it, major props to those of you that do.)

Megs, I have IBS too. Really not fun, right. Thumbs Down

Lori and Cindy, congrats on your four good days!

Laurelin, oh dear, that's too bad.

Sounds like it's laundry day for everyone today. Maybe I'll wash out a pair of underwear in the sink just to join in!! Big Grin

As the Cajuns would say, how y'all are!

I've got a bra to wash out -- does that count? We can't have clotheslines in our neighborhood. At least ones you can see. Forbidden by the restrictive covenants.

We have a Maytag dishwasher that got recalled. They had to put on a new door. It only took 20 minutes, but waiting for him to get here... New hot water heater a couple of months ago. That took two days, one to find out that the old one couldn't be fixed, and one to install the new one. I hate being grounded waiting for workmen.

I've had stubborn 5s the last couple of days, and it's starting up again. I've done Imitrex/Anaprox twice already this week, so I'm trying to save the 3rd one in case this gets worse. I walked for half an hour, and the pain didn't go away. It usually does. Not fair.

Glad to hear about everybody who feels better, and sorry to hear about the bad days. It's in the mid-60s and sunny today. We'll get payback in July and August.

The latest in the judicial bribery scandal centers around whether "y'all" has to mean more than one person, or can you use "y'all" when you're only talking to one person. IMO, "y'all" is plural. "You" is singular. And "All y'all" means a bunch of people. What a mess.

I think I'm finally going to have that kick back and go nowhere day, now that it's Thursday already.

So much fun at the pharmacy getting my Armour. I'm doing a weird dosing with it, taking 75mg five days a week and 90mg two days. It's what seemed to work the best for me in the past, rather than a steady dose.

So I had to get a bunch of the 60mg ones, and a whole bunch more of the 15mg ones. When I dropped them off on Tuesday, they didn't have enough of the little guys, but promised to have them yesterday. Okay. No biggie. Yesterday I just skipped my Armour, since I'm hyperthyroid right now anyway, rather than take too much.

I went back at 3:30 to get my meds yesterday, and the tech cheerfully rang up my 60mg ones. I had to ask about the others. She poked around at the computer and asked if I had any at home. I told her I thought so, and hoped so. She claimed they'd get some by Friday. Apparently she thought I had just straight refills, and not a downward dose change. Nice. When I pointed out it was an actual change, and that it was supposed to have happened a day or so earlier, and that I was promised they'd be there Wednesday, not Friday she got a bit skittish, because it was finally apparent that I might not have much left at home from two months ago. My guess is that they didn't hold any back on Tuesday when I dropped off the scrips, and had none left.

Finally, she asked the pharmacist, who said it should be here, but they hadn't unpacked the McKesson order yet. Nice. You know you've got part of the order coming special for someone, so you let it sit there for hours in the back, untouched. Backpedalling, tech person promised if I'd give her ten minutes, she'd find my meds. Luckily for her, they were there, and they didn't try to do a partial fill, either.

Good morning again,

Well DS just went off to school, supposedly feeling better. I"ve seen road kill look better. But he has a quiz in pre calculas (5th period) and if he wants to go to baseball practice he has to be at school by 4th period. So off he went.

I had a therapist appointment today. Man, I must have looked bad last week. She told me I looked so much better this week. She could tell I did even before I said anything to her. Ahh, better living through chemicals.

I did laundry yesterday. The nice thing about being off this week is I did some for the kids and they thanked me. I almosted fainted. Of course I think DD almost fainted when I offered. Wonderful parenting moments with teans are few and far between, I do charish them.

Dragon, why can't they unpack and get Rx's right the first time? I'm sure you have everything in the drug store memorized and have no desire to linger and browse any longer!!

I have errands to do. TAke care everyone.

Droolie, I can sympathize with your drug store problem. The folks at my local pharmacy all know me by name now (which in NYC is pretty rare). They keep finding new ways to goof up my orders but at least they're my BFF!!

My migraine has already come back (never really went away) so I'm on Day 3 now. Can't take another Imitrex til 8:30 pm. Thank goodness for ice packs. But could someone turn the sun down a little?? Even with the blinds closed it's hurting my eyes. (Yes I'm wearing sunglasses, in bed, in the dark, lol.) Cool

Cindy, I would almost kill for a main floor laundry. I hate going to the basement; that's what drags out the laundry for me.

I make eggplant parmesean, too, in fact, both were requested for dinner this week. Kath actually thinks I should make the eggplant for the foodnetwork contest instead of the chicken soup, but I don't use home made sauce and I don't know if that would matter and I don't have enough time to learn to make a sauce by the recipe submission deadline.
