Hey everyone!

My migraine was gone when I woke up today so that is great! I hope it stays away!!!

Not much happening today, just work and that is pretty much it. My friend from my prayer post is back in NJ - she had to go to GA to get her daughter. So she is back and I guess making arrangements now for the funeral. The whole situation is just heartbreaking.

I think I feel good enough to actually cook dinner tonight - a first this week - yippee!!!! So DH will be happy!!!!

Hope you all are waking up migraine free and stay that way today!!!!

Good morning all -

Hey Eileen - glad your migraine is gone and you feel up to cooking - that will be nice! So sorry about your friend! My heart goes out to her!

I'm not feeling too bad considering my little spill on the ice yesterday. A little bruised but a good hot bath and a good night's sleep seem to have fixed most of what was wrong. I believe I will call the people up, though and make sure they know the condition of their front walk. Thanks to Laura and MJ, my late evening comforters, for giving me just the "aw poor baby" I needed.

It's a cold and sunny day here. I've got one of my lunch seminars but I'm not stressing over it (so far). The utterly filthy house is getting cleaned today by the housekeeper - I didn't manage to straighten ahead of her so there will be a lot of surfaces that don't get touched. But at least it will be better tonight and I can start straightening again.

Hope everyone's feeling well this morning!

- Megs

Good Morning All.

Eileen, It's good to hear your are feeling better!

Megs- I hope you are doing much better today!! Sorry to hear about your spill.

For me, I am doing better but it's the funny thing with these cluster headaches, just when you think you are fine... well you aren't! I didn't sleep to good last night, so I have some "puttering" to do and then I think I will take it easy today!

Hope all are well today! Happy Thursday..

Well, I overdid it yesterday. Spent too much time out of the sling, and now I'm in pain. Luckily, I have some painkillers that I can take for a day or so- as just about any other drug at this point would send me into MOH.

Add to that fact that I was crying earlier, and I almost wound up with a full fledged migraine. I think I stopped just before it kicked in, thank goodness!

Eileen, I'm so so sorry about your friend. If you need a shoulder to cry on, I'm there, girl.

Megs- sorry to hear about your spill. We don't need any more injuries around here! Hope you're feeling better!

Lori- hope you're feeling better and can rest up today.

I'm going to stop typing here before I yowl in pain. Wish me luck getting through today. It's been a hard day so far, and looks to get worse before getting better.

Good morning, everyone!

I'm just popping in to check on you all...

Eileen, I'm thinking of you and your friend today! I think she is going through a mother's worst nightmare...I'm sure she'll need a lot of support.

Megs, I'm sorry you had a fall yesterday! You're very fortunate that you didn't break any bones! Those bumps, bruises, and strains hurt a lot, though! Feel better!

Lori, I'm glad to hear you are feeling well today! Relax and have fun!

Jamie, Group Hug. Just take one minute at a time and get through the day. Then, get lots of rest tonight!

I'm feeling really tired today. I often have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Unfortunately, DH sometimes forgets about this! Last night, he stayed up til 2AM playing hockey online with a buddy from work. I fell asleep at about 12:30. When he finally came to bed, he banged through our bedroom door, talking the whole while! Scared me so much I almost jumped out of bed. After hollering at him, I couldn't get back to sleep til about 5AM. UGH!!!

Registered my littlest guy for kindergarten yesterday. He's very excited that he'll finally get to ride the bus with his brother in the fall!

My stomach is feeling crummy today. I'm gonna run out to pick up my refill of phenergan soon. That'll help.

Thinking of you guys!

Yesterday was horrible, and today isn't starting out much better. Yesterday was a 7 most of the afternoon and all evening. This morning, I hit it with everything I've got -- Imitrex, Anaprox, Skelaxin. Plus Flexeril and Hycodan. They're beginning to kick in, but they're only making a dent.

DH is working from home, and he says he feels 100% better than yesterday. He gets more done when he's at home. At the office, there are phone calls and e-mails and folks walking into his office. Here, he gets long blocks of uninterrupted time. Especially when I remember not to talk to him.

Sparky walked me all the way around the block yesterday, with nary a stumble or limp or hobble.

Gotta get the housekeeper's W-2 sent off to the state and the corrected one to the Feds.

Our Attorney General has become involved in the judicial bribery mess. Consensus is that even John Grisham couldn't make up a tale as weird and shocking as all of this.

Eileen -- I hope your day stays migraine-free. Megs -- my sense of balance stinks, and I had a lot of falls while I was taking Flexeril 3 times a day. I hope you're not too bruised. I had some whoppers. I've only fallen once since I got off the Flexeril. Lori -- I didn't realize you had cluster headaches. I admire your cheerfulness. And Jamie -- take care of that arm. We miss you, but I'd rather you baby yourself and your arm than feel like you have to keep the discussion going.

Off to check my quilting sites, then on to paperwork. UGH!

Not much going on on this cloudy - again - Thursday morning.

Went to Michael's and bought more yarn. I'm making a baby hat for my neighbor's niece who just got home Saturday with her baby girl from Russia - an event that is near and dear to my heart. Since it's almost March, I'm making it so it fits her next fall/winter. That is one big honkin' hat! Once this hat is done, it's back to newborn hats for the crisis nursery.

Tonight is the great science experiment - figuring out the measurements on my chicken soup. Part of the taste is from the seasonings used to roast the chicken. It wasn't a very good chicken last night. Well, it was ok, just not as good as it has been.

That's about it. Trying to type after taking a muscle relaxer - this is fun! NOT!

Morning all! Some very exciting news for me today. I've officially lost enough weight (around 20 lbs) that my size 14 suede skirt fits me perfectly now! All of my size 16 skirts are too large. I was so excited to find this out when I was getting dressed this morning! I knew my pants were too big but it seems like skirts are never sized the same way.

Well, last night was the third one taking the Topa. It is definitely helping me sleep, which is good, but making it almost impossible to wake up in the morning. Not so good. I've been waking up around 8:45-9 am all week, which is bad since I'm supposed to be at work by 9. So tonight I'm going to try taking it earlier and see if it helps. And mention to DBF that I need his help getting up.

My head is hurting a little more today than it was yesterday - a 3 - but manageable; hopefully it stays that way.

Eileen, yay for feeling well enough to make dinner! I can't remember the last time I cooked dinner for DBF. I'm always so wiped out by the time I get home from work, so I can understand why that can be such a big deal! Smiler

Megs, what good is it for me to live 3 hours in the past if I can't be your late-night comforter? Wink Glad you're feeling ok today. Hope it stays that way!

Lori, definitely take it easy today. You deserve it!

Jamie, remember to rest up and take it easy on yourself so you heal up quickly. We'll keep your forum spot warm for you!

Jenny, sorry to hear you didn't get very good sleep last night. I usually have that problem too. Thumbs Down Hope your tummy starts feeling better after some phenergan.

Gretchen, sorry to hear your head isn't doing well. Hopefully your drug cocktail will help.

Debs, good luck with your soup experiment tonight - hope it turns out yummy!

Everyone else - enjoy your Thursday! Heart

Hi all.

I am doing okay so far today. Had a migraine last night that was not fun...stupid hormones.

Hopefully I can escape having one tonight. I actually feel pretty good so far today, actually have energy for once. I think the prozac had more effect on me than I noticed, but now I'm on day 24 without it I am finally feeling better. Wish it would completely wear off already! This must be the longest lasting drug ever.

I haven't heard anything about my FMLA papers. So far I am hoping that no news is good news, as rejecting it outright takes a lot less time than actually filing it out.

Eileen - hope that we are headache free today.
Megs - glad you are doing okay after falling. Winter can be so dangerous sometimes.
Lori - hope your clusters get lost somewhere with the MIA cleaning fairy.
Jamie - take care of yourself. We like your updates but not if you have to hurt yuorself to give them!
Jenny - glad your little guy is excited about kindergarden. If I remember correctly I was somewhat afraid of it at first.
Gretchen - feel better and good luck with the nasty paperwork.
Deb - good luck with the hat. I learned to crochet once for a play that I was in in HS, but it never became anything presentable.

As a side note, is there anyway to message a person specifically? I wanted to make sure that Tawsha got the inhaler info, but I haven't been sure that she's seen it.

Hi everyone,

brr it's cold here. I just returned from the wrist doctor and everything is fine, no ligament tearing or anything. He said it is going to hurt for the rest of my life.. so yeeeey another thing. But at least I know and can do anything I wish without that bad feeling that I am making it worse.

And my sister just learned that she got into the PhD program, so we are going to celebrate today Thumbs Up

I hope those of you that aren't feeling well will get better really soon. And those that are feeling fine will continue to do so Smiler

Have a lovely day.

MJ - good for you on the weight loss! Making it go away is so hard sometimes. I still have most of my size 12 clothes stored in my closet because eventually I swear I will lose these last 15 pounds...

Hi guys - love to see all of you in the tea room! Just got back from my lunch seminar - small but good, and didn't wipe me out too much. Wanted to check in and see how everyone is - if I don't respond to everyone - I'm just hurrying back to work!

MJ congrats on the weight loss!

Laurelin I noticed if you click on someone's name on their post, you'll get to their profile and there's a link to send a private message to that person - I've never tried it, but... it's there.

Jamie you take good care of that elbow. I broke and dislocated my right elbow 13 years ago (another slip on ice) - definitely the worst pain I have ever felt! But since it's a joint it can be tricky to heal, so just be really careful and take it as slow as you can. I never realized how much we use our elbows until I broke one.

Everyone take it easy and enjoy the rest of the day.

- megs

It's almost lunch and I enjoyed seeing what everyone is up to. Reading everyone else's posts always makes me feel better. I enjoy finding out about everyone's days. For everyone feeling bad, hang in there.

I actually feel pretty good right now. I was awake so much last night with stomach pain. I'm not sure why I'm getting these sharp pains lately but they kept me awake last night. It's better this morning. I think I'm gonna stop all my supplements for a day or two and see if I can attempt to narrow down what's causing it. It's just something that's started in the last two weeks since I went to the migraine specialist. I suspect the namenda but I'm trying to figure it out. I talked to my doctor and he said to continue with it but to make sure I ate a full meal when taking it. We'll see.

Other than that, I'm enjoying being off. Have done a lot of reading and writing. I'm really liking not having to worry about work/school when I don't feel well.

I may actually cook tonight too. I made a casserole on Tuesday and my husband and two grown sons "inhaled" it like they hadn't eaten in years! I enjoyed watching them enjoy it. Have a great day everyone.
