Migraine

Hi all

Thank u all for the get well wishes for me and Barry! Barry is still in bed with a really bad headache - Im convinced he has swine flu too now!

Im still feeling really ill! My chest hurts soo bad - Lynn, I can totally empathise - my toes even hurt! My puppy chico doesnt even weigh a pound and a half, yet when he walks on me it feels like an elephant has ran over the top of me!

Rebekah stayed at my mums last night. Im really worried that she going to get this flu - due to her existing medical issues. Shes very rarely ever ill - with usual run of the mill stuff, so im keeping my fingers crossed (despite it hurting)

I was on this website the other day - looking for a vest top for Chico - it is an american site - a pet boutique - and I just cant beleive the cost to post a couple of tiny tshirts to UK form America. THe tops would have came to sixty dollars (for 3) yet the postage was sixty dollars too! Im well disappointed. How can it possible cost sixty dollars to post something that will weigh nuthing???

Alaura - cant you get a cab to the ER?? 5 days is too long sweetie - Ill be thinking about you and hoping u have some releif soon!

Good morning everyone,

I had a so-so day yesterday. It was family/football day for us so I enjoyed watching my Giants win, making them 3-0, wooo hooo! But, for some reason I was also kind of sensitive. I took a remark that DH made and blew it way out of proportion. He even apologized and I was still angry. Just not like me at all. So, it's something I need to keep an eye on and make sure I'm not having a side effect from my new meds.

I plan on getting on my bike today. I tried to the other day but between the icky weather and my head, it never happened. My goal is to bike almost a mile. DH can do that with his eyes closed and we want to hit the local trails together before it gets to cold out. Of course today it's supposed to be 80, so cold will not be an issue.

Gail-I can't send you and Barry enough 's. I cannot believe you have the Swine Flu, I'm so sorry! I think you're doing the right thing by keeping Rebekah at your mom's. That's the last thing you need, having to take care of her too would just be to much on you.

Alaura-Please, please, please, get yourself to the hospital and get that Migraine taken care of. You can't keep going this way. Is there a friend, neighbor or even a local church you can call to get a ride from? Someone, anyone, is out there to help you, you just need to ask. Feel better and let us know how you're doing, k?

Looks like I need to get caught up on everyone. I've been away from the computer for several days so I haven't had a chance.

I went to Oklahoma City this weekend. I got to see DS. Spent Saturday with him. Woke up Saturday morning with a killer Migraine, though. I wasn't able to get it to go away, either. DS had some training until 2:00 so we spent mostly the late afternoon and evening together. He came over to my friend's mother's house. That's where I was staying for the weekend.

It was a good thing that I didn't drive up this past weekend. I wouldn't have been able to drive myself back. I still had the Migraine yesterday, too. In fact, I can still feel it this morning.

Thursday this week I'm going in for a procedure. My pain management doctor is doing it. It's called transforaminal cervical epidural between C5 & C6. Hoping it will help with the neck and upper back pain I get with the migraines. He is also going to do some injections further up in my neck. The procedure is at 1:00 pm. I can't eat anything after 7:00 am that morning. My mom is going to take me.

Well, I need to get working. I'll try to check back in later. Having issues typing this morning. Love ya. Hope all feel better that are feeling crummy.

The sun is out and I feel well. Amazing how much the weather is affecting me these days. I went to have an early lunch with a co-worker from the store - but she mixed up the days. she's leaving in a few days - moving back home to the west coast. Wanted to get to see her before she goes.

Gail you lay low and get to feeling better. That postage does sound crazy!

Laura hope you can get out and bike.

Heather glad you got to see DS - sorry about the Migraine, though.

Watched the Ken Burns documentary on the National Parks last night - on PBS - It mostly focused on how the first two parks came into being - Yosemite and Yellowstone. The photography was stunning - made me itch to get back to Yosemite, and I've never seen Yellowstone.

Well have we got a sick bunch here. I'm so sorry Swine flu is hitting so many people. When my DD had it, it was awful. I do hope you all heed your doctor's and rest and take care of yourselves. I do know of a couple of people who had re-currancnes when they started their normal activies too soon. So take care one and all.

We had a nice weekend. I was VERY careful Saturday to not stay too long at the picnic as it was hot. Heat and I are not good friends. I also got my flu shot while I was there. Now if my primary care has the Swine Flu shot when I have my physicial I can get that too if she feels I should. I'm not out much these days so she may not recommend it.

Sunday we drove up to Sonoma County for a Cavalier Club meeting. It was at a small winery and they had a professional to take dog pics. I can't wait to get the CD. Boy do those people know how to get dogs to look cute for the camera. We then drove around looking at areas we might like to buy in eventually. We are thinking of retiring in that direction.

Heather I'm so glad you got to see your DS. How is he liking rowing? Hope the procedure goes well this week.

Megs the quieter house and less drama of having our DD's to school is nice. It will be like a whirl wind when she comes home though.

Lynn take care of yourself and your family. I hope no one else comes down with the flu. I guess this is a good chance to further rest your shoulder. Really it's the only positive thing I could say about you having the flu.

Gail take care too. I'm so glad you called your doctor and got treatment. You don't want to spread what you have to your workplace.

Dutchess I hope you are feeling a bit better today. I'm going to go over to the other folder and post something there too.

Hi All,

I am having a slight migraine this morning hoping it is not going to morph into something bigger. Just have tingles and aura right now. I am really not sure what's going on, I seem to be getting more migraines then usual. I guess it's time to call Dr. C.

I have paperwork to do today and cleaning that I did not touch yesterday LOL. Where is that darn cleaning fairy LOL!! Other then that, DH is at the station until Wednesday. Not much else going on here. It is suppose to be getting cooler here by tomorrow. I can only hope

Laura-That's interesting about your sensitivity, wonder if it's your meds. My hubby and I noticed that I get that sometimes before a migraine hits, isn't that wierd?

I seeming can't do anything right this week, I'm really just feeling kinda lost in my own skin, I've just recovered from the flu, then got smacked by a Multi-day Migraine in which I couldn't keep anything down.

I managed to space on a friend and an appointment- 2 things I had to apologize for. I'm thanking my Cymbalta right now for holding me stable, 'cause otherwise I'd be a bawling ball o' Jamie.

It has been ages since I've been here on the forum. It sounds like a lot of you are very ill and I'm really sorry to hear that.

I don't feel like posting, but i did want to say 'hi' since it has been so long.

I've been thinking a lot about Gretchen the last few days b/c I think it has now been a year since her passing. I wonder how her family is doing and her dog. And of course still miss her.

Day off from school today - we went to breakfast and then the fabric store. Kath is going to make all of us pillowcases.

I've read all the posts from the weekend but I just don't have the energy to reply. It's two weeks since my last prednisone and I still don't feel quite up to par. I know people take it longer than the combined six weeks I was on it, but maybe they feel bad after, too.

Those with swine flu, take care!

Just want to check in.... In a mood right now and don't really feel like posting, but I haven't posted in a few days so I just wanted to say 'hi'. I've read everyone's posts though...

Hope all that aren't feeling well, feel better. And those that are better, stay that way.

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day... maybe not. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

hey there again everyone

Ended up phoning a doc again today for Barry after he was complaining of pain all down one side of his head for over 24hrs now (he not a migraneur) and weakness too. Hes been admitted to hospital.

CT scan clear, although they checking him for all sorts of infections. I cant even go visit him cos I got swine flu!

They are going to do a lumbar puncture tmorrow.

Oh Gail, I am so sorry. Please take care of yourself and get well soon so you can see Berry. I can't imagine how you must feel not being able to visit. I'm so glad you have your pup for comfort at home.
