Good morning,

I just finished reading yesterday's Tea Room and for the most part it looks like everyone was faring well, wonderful news indeed!

Four words: Look at my ticker!! K, that's all I'm going to say about that except Fingers Crossed

Paul kept me busy yesterday but then I kept him busy last night. I took him to the ortho doc and his cast was removed. Hooray for him. He is hobbling around but the doctor said that will gradually go away within a week. I'm thankful the break healed properly.

After the ortho, I had to take him back to the dentist for a bonding on his front tooth that does not want to "take". If this fix doesn't work we're looking at a more expensive fix. Yikes!

When we were finished with his appointments he only had two hours left of school so I brought him home instead and put him to work in the dining room with me. LOL. Progress is slow but steady.

Eileen-I'm so glad the show was a sucess

Kelly-Hugs to Mr. Knightly, poor guy

Gretchen-Hugs to your little guy too

Take care everyone and have a pain free day!

Good morning.

Today my eldest son has a dentist appt. This leaves me and the toddlers in the waiting room--blah.

Other than fatigue, I'm doing pretty well today. Yesterday was a good one too. Two in a row, wow! It seems funny to me since I've not taken any of my vitamins for weeks (due to stomach viruses and other issues the Verapamil caused).

I have to discuss contact issues with my HA Specialist. It took him nearly five days to return a call. By the time he called I had already been to the ER, had an appt. with my family doctor, and spoken with my pharmacist. (He provided me with his personal contact number, which I thought was helpful.) I tried yesterday to schedule my follow-up appt. and am still waiting to hear from the office staff after 24 hours and two phone messages. Head Banging

Happy days to all-
Liz

Sorry to hear everyone seems to be spending so much time in waiting rooms! Ugh!

I'm not having a great morning. My 5 day streak is over. Frowner I woke up this morning with one of my wisdom teeth swollen, which I knew was going to trigger a mig. My trigeneral nerve always swells when I have a mig, so I figured if it swelled on its own it would probably cause one. Yup. I have a pretty bad aura right now, but I can still see at least... I hope I caught it fast enough and the Relpax keeps it in check.

I don't forsee making it through work today though.....

I hope everyone has a better day than mine is starting off!

Good Tuesday Morning.

It is as dark as night here. The rain is starting, too. Hopefully, I won't get a migraine. Usually, I would have had one by now, though.

I have another meeting. This one is a more interactive meeting so it should make the day go faster.

Three more days of work before our trip to the coast. I really looking forward to it. Especially, since we'll be able to go on the beach. Thumbs Up

I hope everyone has a good day.

Just a quick hello here. I have to get lab drawn before work. I'm fasting. Which means no coffee. Who's idea was that!! Oh yeah, the well educated doctor who is trying to be through. Must keep that in mind.

Laura such a pretty ticker you have, love the colors. Kat, I hope your back to bed and sounds like calling your dentist along with dealing with a migraine. Nasty combination. Heather I wish you could run from the weather by hiding under the covers, but no such luck, but I do hope you continue to dodge the bullet Fingers Crossed

I see the NP at 3:15. I'm nervous. But we'll see what happens.

Gotta go. Take care everyone.

I woke up at about 6am with a #7, for the first time in a couple of months. Once I convinced myself I had to get out of bed, I took my Imitrex injection, and another an hour later. The pain is down to a 1. I'm a little fuzzy-headed, but I'm not writhing in pain.

I wonder how many productive hours we've spent in waiting rooms recently? I've got a dental appt this afternoon.

Laura -- wonderful about Paulie's cast! Here's hoping the bonding took.
Liz -- here's hoping the rest of the day goes well!
Kat -- wisdom teeth are the worst. I had mine out in 1979, but I still remember the pain.
Heather -- a trip to the beach sounds divine!

Hi, there!

In keeping with today's theme of waiting rooms, I have a doctor's appt at 3pm, too, to get a mammogram. With my fibro, they can be pretty painful, but she said there's now a low compression option. I hope so.

Mig yesterday afternoon. Mig hangover today and probable recurrence due to doctor's appt.

Beautiful weather. Spoke to my mom, she's fine. Made some progress yesterday on my newspaper backlog and going to do more today. Some of you strip wallpaper (that would be you, LauraHOST), some people read newspapers. Everyone needs a hobby LOL!

LauraHOST it's so great to see you leading off the posts every morning again. Missed you there for a while. I just saw the pictures of the tornado damage in Virginia and thought of you.

Liz, sounds like you need to slap your HA specialist upside his head! Nice that the pharmacist gave you his number.

Kat, so sorry to hear about your beastie morning. Hope the Relpax subdues it.

Heather, that's great that you don't have a mig yet despite the weather. Hope it holds off.

Cindy, no coffee? Yikes, that's a challenge LOL! But glad your doc is being thorough.

Gretchen, sorry to hear the beastie bit you. Glad the injections brought the pain down. Good luck with the dentist.

Hi all,

I am slow moving this morning. Yesterday was a very busy day for me. I volunteered from 9:00 to 5:00 at my son's school. I do a lot of that type of volunteering but it has been probably a month since it has been that long of a day. We only have three more weeks of school before this year is history. Thumbs Up

Unfortunately the last month of school can be the most demanding of the whole year, so I hope I can have more long days. Fingers Crossed

I need to do some cleaning and housework if I can find the energy.

It always seems like there are a hundred things I have to get to, but if I am lucky I may get five things done.

hope you all have productive days

Good Morning everyone,

Well it seems most everyone will be in waiting rooms today Big Grin. Like Mary, I will be doing more volenteer work for Zach school. It is one of those things that just grew out of control: I volenteered to help Zach's play the music man and now it seems that they keep asking me to do more, and more and more. It worth it though, just very tiring.

Geez, the phone just rang, they need me now...I will check back in later. Miss you all!!

I have had coffee (2 cups) and 2 bananas. Life is much better than an hour ago. It's amazing what a bit of food and coffee can do for the body.

You know Mary, I bet if your day didn't include housework you might be a little quicker to move today!! The school volunteering must be enjoyable for you.

Enjoy everyone, back to work for me Mad

Hi guys -

Well it's not morning here anymore but I do have tea. In keeping with today's theme, I had a dental appointment this morning. I got there early and the alarm system in the building was going wacko and there was this constant high-pitched beeping while I waited. Then the ultrasonic water cleaning thingy was screaming into my ears - between that, the usual stress of someone scraping around in my mouth, and the lights in my face... Well I don't have a migraine but my head was pretty threatening all the way home. Fingers Crossed for me! I had lunch and relaxed with a book for awhile and the little beastie pokes in my temples have subsided. Oh, at least my teeth were in good shape.

Danny has some kind of bug with high fever. So I spent the night in the guest room and had early wake-up duty. Adam wakes me up in the middle of the night to ask if I had taken Dad's temperature. Little worry-wart! Cute but not at 2 a.m. Didn't feel too bad this morning but I did need to go back to sleep for a bit before I went to the dentist. So here I am after lunch just getting to work. It's a good thing I work for myself!

Another gorgeous day here in NJ. I probably won't get to garden because I have to get Some work done and grocery-shop and get Adam's glasses fixed & take him to drum-lessons and get Rach from rehearsal and do something about dinner... Sorry, am I griping? Lots of times I'm sick and Danny has to do everything. I guess I'm just not used to it. Spoiled? Reading over this post I sound pretty grumpy. Actually I'm pretty cheerful. I guess I just needed to share the trials and tribulations of my day so far.

I hope everyone who needs energy gets some, and the waiting room waits aren't too bad. All beasties out there back off! Sorry I'm not commenting on everybody - I seem a little fuzzy-headed. Laura yay on your 5 days! LauraSue I have to send some specific sympathy for the mammogram - who invented those anyway? Surely not a woman! When I go I always tell Danny - "off to get squooshed!" And he always says he's glad they don't check for testicular cancer that way!

later - Heart

Oh my, Oh my--

We are talking all about my least favorite things: Dentists, waiting rooms, and getting smooshed! So glad I don't have some of you guys appts. I just got off of Harmoni--so much fun; I missed that so much the past couple of months. I'm just like a baby rider. Today we cantered--whoo-hoo! I go to the orthopedist Thurs. I really need some real physical therapy, not just exercises. But my "sports medicine" specialist sees me as a nearly 60 year old woman--how could I be an athlete? Will be taking pictures etc. to point out that in my sport, people win the gold in the Olympics in their 60s. I'll also be taking my own competition pictures and record. He loses!!!!!

Had a 2 headache before I got on. Hope the endorphins last through a major grocery shop. I asked my mom to just give me her list as it needed to be a fast trip (under 3 hours) today.

Cindy--I have to get fasting bloodwork tomorrow, so I get to suffer the same way. Hate that

Dar--I helped with our youngest son's school production of the Music Man. A friend of ours provided the real horse and cart for the arrival of the band instruments. The horse was very old, very gentle, and pretty much blind so the audience didn't perturb him as long as his owner was leading him. It was a great piece of staging.

Laura--Great for Paulie that his cast came off. Now if the bonding will just stay on.....

Guess what I just realized? It's 28 days until my appointment with Dr. Krusz!! Under a month!

The grocery store is calling my name...

Hi all. Popping in for a quick hello before I go home for lunch. So far I'm feeling decent today - head pain isn't too bad yet. It's nice and cloudy today which means it's not too glarey. I miss seeing the sun, but my eyes like cloudy days much better.

Looks like I should have scheduled my two appointments I had yesterday for today instead, so I could have joined the waiting room party. Wink I actually didn't mind waiting in my PCP's waiting room yesterday since I was the only patient in there (early in the morning) and there are no fluorescents in the waiting room. The exam rooms are a different story though. My eye doctor's office is sort of underground so I hate going there. He's a great guy and I love his staff, but I hate his office. He knows about my photophobia and fluorescent lighting issues though so I don't think he takes it personally!

Oh, and we were talking about a refrigerated helmet a few weeks ago. I knew I had seen something like this somewhere before - Teri reviewed a product called the "Migra-Cap" on her personal website. It's not exactly like what we were talking about, but it's close! You can find her review HERE. Unfortunately, it's not exactly cheap and comes from the UK. But I wanted to share it with you guys!

I think that's all I have for now. DBF will be coming by my desk soon to get me for lunch. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Tuesday. Heart

Good afternoon everyone.

Woke up in more pain with this migraine than yesterday. Thankfully my rescue meds are giving me some breaks in pain. But, I can always tell when it is time to take them again. I'm still on period watch. I'm hoping that I get it and get it over with (the menstrual migraines, I mean) cause DH and I supposed to leave next week for CA for my SIL's graduation from med school. I need to be good to travel. And, of course, traveling is a trigger for me.

Other than trying to tame the beast, not much going on here. It was another beautiful day.

Sending love and hugs to you all.
