Good morning,

I'm up and about way early this morning. My credit union called to alert me of a potential fraudulent use of my credit card so I checked online and sure enough, there it was. Thankfully, the bank's CSR department opens early, even on the weekend. They've already cancelled the card, issued a new one and are sending me forms to fill out to dispute the charge.

Today it's icky and gray outside, it's already sprinkled a few times so it looks like I'll be foodshopping in the rain. DH thinks he may be coming down with a cold so he may stay behind today and just rest.

We went to see Zombieland with Woodie Harrelson...LOVED it! But, then again, I'm a huge fan of horror/comedy, like Shawn of the Dead. I'm taking DS#2 to see it when he gets home from work this afternoon.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Tracie-if you read this today...thanks again for the info. DH has his TAP briefings the end of this month and the first day is open to me so I'll get more info about Prime and Standard but it looks like I'm leaning toward Standard. Thanks again!

Hi everyone,

I've been fighting with my head a lot for the past few days. Im a little discouraged about it. We're having a family birthday party for DS9 this weekend, and I have a lot to do to get ready for the event. My head always acts badly in situations like these. I think it knows that there is a lot to be done and it doesn't like it.

Laura, I was always a horror film fan--until my kids were born. Now, I can't bring myself to watch anything remotely scary or gory. Funny, I know...

I hope you're all out enjoying the weekend.

If you think of it, send some happy vibes to my head. I want DS to have a happy day and I don't want to be in bed, missing out on the party.

Hi all -

Cranky pants morning. I'm sleeping better but was worrying last night & didn't sleep all that well. Our annual harvest fair is postponed to tomorrow due to chance of thunderstorms (and on & off drizzle now) - tomorrow given my work schedule at the store I won't be able to go Frowner. Today I have clients at 2:30 and work in the store at 4:30. It's gray out and I've already argued with both D and A - and I have a big fat hurty zit on my upper lip. Other than that, everything's okay! Roll Eyes

Jenny I know what you mean about the head knowing when you have a lot to do. I think our heads don't like pressure! Good luck - hope you can enjoy the party. Try not to worry too much about the details - being able to be there is more important than whether everything is perfect, yes?

Laura sounds like Zombieland was fun! I'm not big on straight horror but horror comedy I can do.

See you all later!

- megs

No insomnia last night - I went to bed at the time my body likes and fell right to sleep and stayed asleep. Irritating.

Kath was gone from 6:45 am until almost 11 pm yesterday - homecoming parade, hung out with friends, went to dinner, went to football game, ditched football game and hung out again until her curfew.

I wish I had the stamina to go, go, go for almost 16 hours. And I didn't like it one bit - I know this question is unanswerable, but why does she need to do so much and be gone so long? It wasn't like that when we were her age.

She's out again shopping, and she wants to get ready for the homecoming dance at a friend's house. We want her to get ready here so we can get pictures; she can go to her friend's afterwards. She doesn't like it. Too bad, this is her first and last homecoming.

Cranky pants but I'm having a hard time with this teen social stuff.

Nikoli is just fine.

Laura, wow, glad your credit union caught the fraud.

Jenny, I hope you feel fine for your party.

Megs, sorry you're going to miss the festival. Those things can be fun.

Just checking in for a quick hello before I head into my shift at the salon.

Things are going ok here. Our trip to Charleston was wonderful - reserved a venue and I even found a dress already. Coming back here was a bit of a crash back into reality and DF and I have both been having trouble.

Had a good appointment with my headache doc on Thursday.

Hope all are AWAP. I'll try to check in later.

Hey guys,

Just popin in real quick.

Laura- how scary that someone was using your bank account! I am so glad you were able to stop it.

Jenny- I am sorry you are having a hrad time. I hope you can relax some and get yourself feeling better!

Megs- we need those crankypants every now and then. I do hope your day gets a little brighter though.

Deb- I am glad you got rest last night. I was like that at Kath's age, trust me, she should outgrow it Wink

MJ- so glad you had a good trip! Its also great that your appointment went well. Did he change meds or are you doing pretty well at this point?

I hve been feeling better! Thumbs Up I hven't spent much time online though, so I knew it was time to stop back in here to see you all. I am sure I told you that the appointment went well on Wednesday. Doc broke my 7 day mig and I still don't have one!!!! Halo I am in heaven. (although, I don't want to jinx myself. I overslept and feel a little prodromey) But its still been 3 days, i can't even remember going that long without a migraine!!! Work has even been great, since I feel better.

I have been trying to rest a lot, since I still have the sleep issues. I also mentioned the fibromyalgia to my doc. He completely agreed and says it also explaines the fatigue. He can't actaully diganose it though, but wasn't suprised to hear me say i am dealing with it. He says its the lesser of the 2 evils though. Once I get the mig undercontrol, it should also improve. We will just see in time. I hope this is a turning point for me!.....

Ok gotta head out and go get my sunglasses from the walmart vision center. A friend recommended I get a pair to help with the sun and florescent lights. Anyone else try this?

Ok I hope you are feeling well and enjoying your weekend!

Defintely get some sunglasses. I'm a big fan of the gargoyles style wrap-around kind. (am wearing them right now- it's been a bad day)

Hi everyone!

I have felt like crud today. Woke up, looked out the window and thought "oh, that's why my head hurts!" when I saw the foggy overcast/rain/gray/gross day. It's still gross, but oddly warm given the last few days.

Laura - BOO!! to the credit card fraud! That totally stinks! I hope whoever did it gets diarrhea! Yeah, wishing diarrhea on people is something our local morning show does.....really, there are not many more worse things than being stuck in the bathroom! Thumbs Down

I too want to see Zombieland! I asked DH if he would want to see it today but now I feel gross, so chances are we will wait until DVD. I did see that Saw VI is coming out too.....I'm sure it will be the same as the last five!

Jenny - I'm sending you positive head vibes! To Jenny's head: Please cooperate and give her a break....thanks! I hope you are able to enjoy the party!

Megs - is it just me or is the NJ weather just strange today? Hope you feel better! The weather certainly is not helping any of our east shore girls in the head department today. Frowner

Deb - I was just talking to my 7 year old SIL about sleep and bed times. It's funny how we have such a short window of life where we can function on hardly any sleep and keep going.....that time does not last long, especially if you add Migraine or another chronic illness into the mix. Hope you get some good rest tonight!

MJ - glad to hear you had a good trip! Feel free to post some pix on FB - I'd love to see my old stomping grounds! Sounds like the wedding plans are coming together so well! Congrats on the dress and venue!

Alaura!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up on the no Migraine and finally breaking that long one! I'm glad you are feeling better and finding some time for rest! Glad work is going well for you!

Amy - my mom has a pair of those wrap around sun glasses that are huge to go over your regular glasses....I call her the Terminator when she wears them. They are big and huge - but they help her, so I am happy for that. I just wish she could find ones a little more....stylish. Sorry you are having a bad day. I hope it improves and you can take it easy.

We had a bad morning today. We went off to the pound and we had a cat there that was acting odd. She wasn't really responding and we could see she was dehydrated. We called the ACO and he said he felt she was going to go soon. I tried to pick her up to make her more comfortable and let her know she is loved. She let out some loud cries and when I put her back in her cage, she was not really moving her head right. I had DH call back the ACO and ask him to please come up - he had to put her down. I didn't want to watch her suffer through dying. I could tell she was going. She was gasping for air and was unresponsive. We are a no kill shelter unless it's something that is for the better of the animal. I had not seen a cat be "put down" before and felt bad but even if it gave her 10 minutes more peace while leaving this world, then I felt better that she didn't have to suffer. It is still sad though.

I am fighting with some bad nausea today. I hate that. It's like either go away or let me get sick because this in between, coming and going is the worst. I can take some Zofran, but I wanted to try a ginger Altoid first.

So, this was the first month since we have had our house (it's been 3 years in Nov) that we had the money to pay the mortgage on the 1st of the month! It's been about a year since we have been late, but you have that 15 day grace period, which I usually pay it around the 10th or 14th. This month, Oct. 1st! It's a small victory for us. We have been really trying to get rid of debt so we can fix up the place. We've been able to pay off quite a lot, and now with my job, I am making more money, but everything is a struggle in this economy. Gas is up again, the cost of goods is up because they cost more to make and ship so, well, you guys know the deal. I'm sure we all have our thing. It just made me so happy to pay the mortgage the real day it was due and not worry about making it through the week. Small victories.

DH is starting some dinner....I think we are having butternut squash fries and veggie patties. I don't know how much of that I'll eat with my belly being iffy, but we shall see.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
