Hi, gang!

Who else is having problems with the frequent weather changes? What a pain -- literally!

The motherboard on my desktop computer decided to go bad Sunday. It will run OK for a while, then it starts rebooting itself. Sometimes it reboots and runs again; other times it reboots, then reboots again before it gets fully started. Phooey! Red Face So, tomorrow I MUST go buy a new computer. Luckily, the hard drive from the goofy one is fine, so I'll be able to put it in one of John's computers on our home network and access my files.

Hope y'all have a good day!

I'm with you on the weather changes. DH says I'm a better indicator than the weather report.

Today I'm catching up on laundry and grading papers. That sounds simple enough, but my obstacles include my 8, 5, 4, and 2 yr. old. Smiler I'm sure there will be some fort-building and finger painting included in the day before it's over.

Weather changes, computer problems, car problems - all top my list of major stress and hate to deal withs!!! LOL

Good luck with computer Teri!

Well last night we got the "behind the scences of the "Fallout Chronicles" done. It should be up by tomorrow - we just want to show it to the writer/producer of the movie before we put it out there to make sure he likes it first. I think it came out really cool.

Other then that, I was watching Deal or No Deal, which I don't watch normally but got lollipopped into....but then didn't see the end....did she win the million dollars???!!!!?????

Watched Sunday's taping of Big Brother 9 - then it was sleepy time. Yep I live such an exciting night. Oh and we walked down the street because all of the rain and melting has caused a waterfall that I don't think is normally there....there is drainage ditches so it must happen ever so often...I've never seen it though. So I took pictures of that.

Hope you all are having a great day!!!!

Good Morning Everyone,
The only weather I'm glad to see are clouds today since I have to go to work. If I had to sit in the office and see bright sunny skies with no migraine I wouldn't be very happy. The five day weekend with only a minor not migraine, I guess just a pain in the neck Thursday driving was heaven.

DBF and I have to say, darling ex husband put in my new desk yesteray. The thing is a monster. It's a roll top built for a computer that I found on the local craigs list. It's so heavy. I finally have a desk that has room for everything. It's so amazing.

Well it's back to work for this girl. No migraine, no kids, I have a nice quiet evening tonight for a change.

Hope everyone has a great day. Take care everyone, I hope to be able to check in later.

Cindy

I agree -- computer and car problems are a big stress producer for me. Actually, my head has been behaving somewhat with all the weather changes. I've had migraines, but they haven't been above a 5.

Had to take Sparky to the vet this morning. He started shivering a couple of months ago, from a bladder infection. A couple days after he finished a long course of antibiotics, the shivering started again.

I'm planning on yard work this morning. It's sunny and 48, with a high of 62 predicted. It was in the low 70s last week. Very warm for Feb. No nasty weather until Thursday. They're predicting a chance of ice and snow for the very north of the state. Everybody goes into a fit if they even whisper about ice or snow.

Got out my measurements and looked at the size charts at Coldwater Creek and Lands End. Looks like I can be a size 10 on the top, and a 14 or 16 on the bottom. Beats the fool out of size 22. My bottom size has always been bigger than my top.

Update on our judicial bribery scandal. The deadline for plea agreements is approaching fast. Rumor has it that there will be an important player making a plea before the deadline. We'll see what happens. This is SUCH a time-waster. Isn't gossip fun?

Have a great day!

Hi all -

Teri my sympathies on the computer! When mine isn't functioning I feel like more than half my brain is missing! Sometimes I think my computer is affected by the weather, too Big Grin (at least, my internet service can be).

I'm still not sure if weather is a major trigger for me, but it's definitely a stackable one. Right now I'm on about day 5 of very mild migraine pain - and the weather has been up down and everywhere - bright and sunny and cold again today. Who knows. Yesterday it was 64 and we went for an actual hike - in between rain showers! Rain Our usual walking trails are pretty flat - we drove 10 minutes to the hills just west of us and had some pretty strenuous walking. Danny had to keep waiting for me because when my heart rate went up the head would start pounding just a little - but taking it slow we managed to get a good workout in.

Gretchen I hope Sparky feels better and congrats on the clothing size! Thumbs Up

Cindy so glad you had a nice trip - your new desk sounds beautiful! Smiler

Eileen do give us the link for the video when it's on youtube - that's exciting! Thumbs Up

Liz good luck with the laundry and the grading - I know about those kid interruptions! Fingers Crossed

I'm back at my desk after taking yesterday off. Kids are off from school so there are lots of interruptions. Expecting Rach to walk in any minute asking for a ride to a friend's. I'm working with pain in the left temple of about 0.5 on a 1 - 10 scale - I can live with it, but never know if I really should. If I take the Imitrex it will knock me out for a couple of hours - and it will be the 3rd time in less than 7 days. I'm going to hang in & see what develops. Fingers Crossed I can take time to lie down and do deep breathing after lunch.

Group Hug to all

- Megs

Good morning, everyone!

I'm hanging out here at home with my youngest son (who is playing the Wii for his 20 minutes right now). My older one went back to school this AM after a long weekend. I took him in late--both boys were sick with colds/fevers all weekend and my older son was having difficulty with his asthma this morning. Hopefully, he will be OK for the rest of the day and I won't have to run in with his inhaler later! Fingers Crossed

Teri, I'm sure sorry to hear your computer is on the fritz. I'm kinda lucky with issues like that--DH, my F-I-L, and our cousin are all in the IT business. One does software, one hardware, and one does a little bit of everything related to computers. So when something goes wrong, they are usually able to put their heads together and fix it.

Liz, I should send my son over to your house! He's a fort building and finger painting champ!! Smiler

Eileen, can't wait to check out the film!

Cindy, it's nice that your DBF and your EX worked together to help you out!! Thumbs Up Enjoy your quiet time (it's so rare, isn't it?)!

Gretchen, I sure hope Sparky is feeling better soon. You sure are doing a terrific job with your weight loss!!

Megs, your hike sounds terrific! The kids and I checked out our local hiking trails last week. They range from sopping wet to snow and ice covered! We have a great bird watching trail nearby, but it's basically impassible (to 5 and 7-year-olds, anyway) until late March. I sure hope your migraine fades away!

Have a nice, relaxing Tuesday guys!

Happy Tuesday Everyone Thumbs Up

Eileen, I have to say I was surprised when she took the deal! $449,000 and her case held the Million!! It was something to watch, I couldn't believe it..

Weatherwise, it's quite the enemy the past few days. Not to mention the rain we had has my back all in knots. But it is my sister's birthday today and thats worth getting my heavy head up off the pillow for, so I hope all you out there enjoy your day and try to stay pain free!!

Have a good one,

Lori

So many posts already!

The weather here is wild - one or two good days and then one or two bad days. We had a cold front come through with a blast of heavy snow; so heavy we couldn't see across the street. It was over in 15 minutes. Bizarre!

Let's see - broken computers, broken cars, and we have a broken recliner! Dh actually got a new one yesterday. It was the last one at Sam's and it was less than 1/2 price. Good for us! Yes

Went to the bank today to deposit dh's check - his boss didn't sign it! That's another day delay before I mail the bills that are already late. Roll Eyes

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hello again, everyone!

DBF and I got back last night from our vacation at Olympic National Park. The short version is that it was a wonderful time with beautiful scenery and sunny weather (!), and we both had a great trip despite some migraine ugliness.

I'm back at work after four days off, ugh. Trying to catch up on emails and such. And trying to take it easy - not feeling great today.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday. Heart

Hi everyone.

After 15 days the prozac is finally starting to wear off. Yea vision! I actually got to finish a book! Only problem is that it's migraine city again! My appointment for yesterday was rescheduled to Fri. Hopefully then I will get a new prev.

Computer problems are no fun at all. I'm glad that you still have the data, Teri. Hard drive failures are the worst.

Eileen - I'd like to see the video too. A lot of my friends were film majors in college and we would run around town making little movies. It was so much fun. Then they all moved to LA Frowner

I think we're supposed to have ice and snow thurday too. But that's pretty much par for the course lately.

Gretchen - congradulations on the weight loss. I've been stuck at 175 for a month now..I can't get it to go down anymore Frowner

Jenny - it's good that you have IT in your family that can help you. My problem is that I'm IT but I'm Project Management not Computer Helpdesk and everyone thinks I should be able to fix thier computers anyway. Somtimes I get lucky and succeed but other times have no clue.

MJ - glad you had a good time on your vacation. Work always seems like such a drag after a long weekend.

Which reminds me that lunch is about over and I should probably stop foruming.

Good Morning California time,

Okay, that's it!!! I am going to have to get up at 3:00am to catch up with this crowd LOL Big Grin

Terri-I hate it when my computer crashes!! It is amazing that we used to live without them. Hope you can get it fixed soon Blinking

Liz-I love your obsticles!!!Have fun fort building and finger-painting.

Eileen-That is so cool about the You tube movie. My duaghter Nicole is a real film fanatic. She loves all aspects of making films and short vidoes. I am sure she would love to see Fallout Chronicles.

Cindy-YAHOO!! on more space on your desk. Mine is always covered with paperwork, I call it my "organized clutter" Big Grin

Gretchen-I thought Sparky was getting better. So sorry he is not feeling good again. And thanks for the update on the judicial briber scandal. Blinking

Megs-I got my fingers crossed that the deep breathing and rest will help knock the beast down Fingers Crossed

Jenny-Glad your boys are feeling better and I hope you don't have to run the inhaler to the school Fingers Crossed

Lori-Have a great time with your sister. Tell her happy birthday Birthday Cake

Deb-I love Sam's club!! Sometimes you can get the best deals there. Sorry about the check. Don't you hate that. The girls gave us their payrolls check to cash one time and the checks bounced in our account UGGGG. At least you can get the bills in the mail tomorrow. Have a great day!!

MJ-Sounds like you and DBF had a great, well deserved vacation!! Hope you feel better today.

As for me, my fingers hurt from typing now LOL!! I am on day 3 of feeling really good. I have some pain in my neck and a mild headache, but not too bad. DH and I have decided to make an appt. with the Keeler headache Clinic. I am making calls today to my insurance company about what they will cover. I am very excited about our decision Big Grin

Other then that I am making plans for Zach's birthday party sleepover on Friday. Funny thing is that it keeps growing Hair Raising He keeps telling more friends. We finally had to say No More. Right now we are up to 9 ten year old boys LOL.
That's about it for me.
Hope everyone has a great day!!

I turned on the morning news and watched the weather report. It is predicting rain/storms the rest of the week. Ugh! I know what that means. What I hate is that I usually take frova to help ward off any possible migraine as a result of the weather but right now I'm not supposed to. I'm supposed to minimize or not take any for a month or so so my doctor and I can see how many ACTUAL migraines I'm having and how many rebound headaches I'm having. So I look to the weather with dread!

I don't have much planned today. I will probably do a load of laundry and run to the store. I got to pick up my meds at Walgreens but other than that, I'll hope for a "limited pain" day.

Teri, I feel for you with your computer problems. If you don't have a migraine, that will give you one. Skillet

Busy days for everyone.
MJ - can't wait to hear more about your trip. I did wonder over the weekend how it went.
Hoopsky I'm sorry about the weather changes for you down south. We are supposed to only have a day or two of rain further north. I'm just glad my plants are getting something and I don't have to water.
Dar you are a brave woman to host a sleep over for 10 year old boys. It will be fun, but oh they can be a fun filled handful!!
Deb, what a find on the recliner. Why don't I find those? And in the nick of time when the old one broke.
Gretchen, don't you just love Coldwater Creek? They have the best sales on the nicest stuff. You must be so happy with your weight loss.

I need to get to requirements. Bless Tricare for deciding to reimburse outpaitent care on APC's like Medicare does, only of course slightly differently so we have to figure out just what they really want for their pricing. I don't know who wants to throw their hands up first, me, the developer or the quality assurance person. Maybe we'll do a group thing!!

Take care everyone.

Cindy
