Happy Saturday everyone!

It's a beautiful morning here. The sun is shining, it's only about 70 degrees, just lovely weather. We've got rain moving in later but right now it's just one of those perfect mornings.

I had another Migraine yesterday but on the bright side, it had been five days since a Migraine landed me in bed all day, so yea for small victories! Maybe it's the new nightime med Dr. K started me on last week? Turns out it's an anti-depressant that makes you super sleepy.

In store for today...drumroll please...foodshopping! Maybe a movie with DH and the kids too. There's a festival at the waterfront today that we may try to get to depending on the weather and my brain.

Take care everyone!

Good morning guys

Laura- I am glad you are enjoying your morning and I hope you can feel better today Wink

I will make this really quick, I am absolutely miserable and shouldn't be out of bed. I wanted to offer and update with the school. Ft. Wayne had sent a few FBI to work with law enforcent. An hour after school started, they recovered 3 guns and arrested a male student who had full plans to harm 3 female students. I am so thankful that this plan was not carried out, and I never imagined it to be that real.

I have had this migraine for several days and I am struggling at this point. But we just push on, right. I have to go back to bed, this is bad. But I do hope that you all are able to enjoy a relaxing weekend and that you can feel well!
I will check in when I can.

Good Morning Friends,

Well it's a bit quiet here this morning. I hope we are all out enjoying our lovely fall weather. The San Francisco area did not get the memo it's fall. The area I live in it will be over 100 today!! We are going to DH's company picnic. I doubt I stay long as I can't tolerate heat very well.

I have been reading daily, but not posting much as you can tell. I think I am in a bit of a funk with the kids both gone and my migraines becoming more frequent. I'm getting used to the kids being gone. I saw the doctor about the migraines and she made some medication adjustments. Too soon to really tell if it's helping or not.

Tomorrow DH and I are driving up to the wine country for a Cavalier Club meeting. It will be a lovely drive and a great setting for the meeting. They are also having a photographer there for a fund raiser. I have an appointment for my two darlings. They get bathed and prettied up later today.

Take care everyone. I hope you are all able to enjoy your weekends.

Cindy

Hi everyone,
Its been raining here for 2 weeks now, but we are finally supposed to get a break starting tomorrow. I hope that happens. I've pretty much had constant migraines for the past 2 weeks.

I am so behind with work that I'm going to have to work all weekend. This is probably not helping my migraines either. I've got 5 reports I'm working on now and I'm supposed to start 2 new audits next week. Our work has suddenly taken off and we now have about 40 clients. We need to hire someone, but we don't even have time to deal with it (so my boss says). Its going to be a challenge, but I've got to really keep working on taking care of myself during this busy time. I got a massage a few days ago and I'm going to keep getting them regularly. I also see my new neurologist on Monday.

Laura- So glad you got over your migraine and can enjoy your weekend!

Alaura- I'm so sorry you are having a hard time!! You are right to just rest today and use whatever comfort measures work for you. Hugs!! Heart

Cindy- Sorry to hear that you have been having more migraines. I hope the med adjustments work out for you.

Amy-I'm not sure if you'll see this or not since you've already posted this morning and you're not feeling well.

You asked me if I liked Axert or not. I actually do like it. I don't have any real side effects from it but it no longer takes the edge off of my Migraines so I'll be switching triptans yet again next month. I'm thinking Relpax or Amerge since those are the only two I haven't tried yet.

Feel better! Hope you see this! Group Hug

Hello everyone,

I am in a fog today after lasts nites rain storm surprise. Oh my goodness. . . about 2:45 yesterday afternoon my 18 yr old call and said it was a front coming fast that I needed to get her. The we were cut off by the sound of a big gust of wind. By the time I get 2 blocks from my office. The wind hit so hard that all traffic had to stop.

No one ever knew this was coming. My older daughter and I have been in a fog since. This is the first time I've been this way for this long.

At least I have nothing to do today. I don't even want to look at tv or listen to radio. I think I will go back to bed.

Alaura,Cindy,Amy...Hope you all feel better soon. Group Hug to everyone.

Still pain-free
Dutchess

Hey gang -

It's nice not to be working today! My clients for today post-poned til next week - not so great for the wallet but good for the head! I slept later than I probably should have, but I'm in a pretty good mood. Doing laundry and going through my closet, weeding stuff out. it's cool and cloudy, i'll try to get a walk in too. My head's okay today but the body is achy. I'm trying to adjust to this new idea - that maybe the body aches are something to listen to as well. Roll Eyes

Alaura so glad they caught the kid - what a scary thing. Sorry you're feeling so awful!

Laura you sound good. Wish your head was even better but nice you can get out and such.

Cindy I've missed you in the tearoom. Sorry your head's been worse. Hope the new meds help. It must be a big adjustment having both kids gone.

Peggy wish you were closer by or I'd volunteer to help with your work! Hope you can get some rest in.

My little Adam suddenly seems much more mature with his big sis gone. Maybe it's just starting High School and being nearly 15, or maybe not having to play baby brother all the time, but he's been pretty helpful and holding up his end of conversation a lot more - I'm enjoying it. Missing Rachel definitely but at the same time things are a bit calmer in the house. Me & my boys may go out to see the Ang Lee Woodstock movie tonight. Fun!

Hope all are AWAP!

- megs

It's my dh's company picnic, too. It was so cold and then it started storming. I came home for a while and will go back for dinner. Right now it's sunny, but my weatherbug shows more storms on the way.

I'll try to catch up tomorrow.

I took the Axert today. My verdict = enh... so-so.... I didn't take it in a timely manner, because I had to wait until I could meet up with my backup buddy. It seems to have taken the pain down a few notches, in return I'm a bit dizzy and the chest tightness thing is kind of creepy (but nowhere near as evil as the Relpax.) I'll probably try it again in a few days, and see if taking it closer to the onset of migraine makes it work better.

Thanks to Laura for your input.

Peggy- The massage sounds like a good idea. Thumbs Up
