Good morning everyone,

Wow, I am the first one here with my wonderful cold Coke in my hand.

I just wanted to check in while I am in Dallas seeing Dr. K. and let everyone know it is going very well so far.

Teri - Group Hug Heart Group Hug and a huge THANK YOU! What a wonderful doctor!! Fantastic staff!!

It has made me re-think some things and I love it! I will do a different post in the doctor's folder soon.

Anyway, I am going to get ready to get out of here for my last visit with doctor K.

Have a great day everyone!!

What all sorts of things did he have you rethink? Can't wait to hear. I'm always ready to learn. If it might help us all, please share.

I'm gearing up for a couple of days of paint fumes. My folks are having an apartment built in the garage and today and tomorrow are 'paint days'. Won't be good to open a window because it's 40o and pouring down rain. Frowner

OH WELL. That's what this whole week has been like! Head Banging

Better days ahead! Yes

Yay Laura! I can't wait to hear about your visit!

MW - sorry to hear about the pain smells and bad weather! UGH - a one/two punch! I am very sensitive to smells, and weather for that matter, so I can definatly feel you on that one!

good luck getting though it!

It's a balmy 45 here in good ole NJ today, but it's nice and sunny so that's good. Other then that, nothing new to report.

Hope everyone is having a good day! Big Grin

Hey gang -

Migraine last night and I was really teed off about it Mad - took the imitrex and then stayed up too late watching a movie - dumb behavior, I just didn't want to accept that it was going on. got up this a.m. exhausted but pain free - got the kids off on the bus (hooray - they miss it half the time!) and went back to sleep for a bit. Now I'm feeling okay. Thumbs Up

I've got to lead a four hour meeting this afternoon - it's once a month at this point and I get a migraine afterwards 3 times out of 4. Skillet so cross your fingers for me! Fingers Crossed

Buutt... I made an appointment with Dr. Friedlander at the Princeton Headache Clinic - the receptionist was very nice & sympathetic, asked good questions. It's on 2/15 - so I'm feeling encouraged. Silly how proud of myself I feel...

Laura, I've been thinking about you and praying for your trip! I'm so glad to hear it is going well! I can't wait to hear about the details later.

Parin, Good luck with the paint fumes. I hope it isn't too bad!

Megs, Good for you for getting that specialist appt! That is awesome!

As for me it was a rough night last night. I think the last 4 days I waaay over did it. I was feeling so good. No migrianes and my NDPH down so I packed lots of stuff in. Well, my body isn't used to it all.

Finally around 5:30 last night, my body started to revolt. And I didn't sleep at all last night from pain and nausea. You know the kind when you move you know you're going to throw up.

It really do need to pace myself. But it is hard when I'm feeling so much better than I have in 2 years! It is like being free from prison. I want to run everywhere. And it really isn't like I'm doing a million things either. But, just more than my body is used to. So I guess I learned something.

Kelly

Kelly -- I've got to be careful not to overdo when I'm feeling good, too. I'll get over-committed and wear myself out and will back to my old pain pattern quickly.

It's rainy and in the 40s here. The dog took me on a short walk. He found something nasty to eat in one of the neighbor's yard, so no kissy-face today. Then I walked for at least 90 minutes in the rain. Fairly light rain, but wet. I didn't look at my watch, but figuring by what was on public radio, it was more than an hour and a half. Weird sweating and being cold at the same time.

Dental appointment this afternoon with endodontist. He's a root canal guy. I've got a tooth whose root is disappearing. He's not sure why. It's odd. This is a 6-month followup. Don't you get tired of going to the doctor?

Another name came up in the judiciary bribery scandal yesterday. This guy got $50 million in the tobacco lawsuit for clipping newspaper articles and telling the lead lawyer how the Mississippi political winds were blowing. What a job!

Here's to a pain-free day for everyone!

Well, I'm feeling better today than I was last night. I posted a rant in the Support folder, which I'll update momentarily. The brief version is that my head is feeling much better from last night (sleep does wonders for me sometimes) and I'm feeling less cranky.

My last work timesheet (due yesterday) was 9 hours less than it should have been, over a period of 2 weeks. That's not terrible, but it's right on the edge of where my boss would require me to take time off for what I missed. Luckily it's the first timesheet of the year, so I should be able to make up the time. I hope. It's been difficult to work full 40-hour weeks with my head as bad as it's been, let alone make up time that I've missed. I'm not going to worry about it right now, though. It's sort of pointless. Roll Eyes

I did at least remember to eat breakfast when I came into work this morning. I had to be here a half hour early for a training. At least now the morning is halfway over. Smiler

I guess that's all the news from here. Hope everyone is having a pain free (or low pain) day! Heart

Mornin yall.

OH kelly I hate those if i move nausea days Frowner SS! I too will have a less pain day and overdo way too easy. Hope ya get feelin better soon

Megs, hope you have great luck this afternoon pain free! Fingers Crossed

Laura, SO good to hear from ya hun! I'm dying to hear all about your visit with your doc!! OH and your Giants are doing SOOOO good! WAHOOO!! Congrats!

Ok yall I overdid yesterday with all the running around I had to do. I was already having a moderate pain day, and couldnt take anything. Today Im feeling it still.(SO tired of having to put moderate or severe on my daily migraine chart) I want this 2 month migraine to GO AWAY Mad

Anyway, I need some thoughts and prayers this afternoon. I REALLY need and want to go to my sons next to last wrestling meet. I have not been able to go to ONE match the entire season. Crying

This one is a "Home" match. That really helps as we can take 2 cars, and if its too loud, I can drive the 5 min. drive home after watching my son instead of staying for the whole thing. Its my ONE shot at seeing him wrestle this year. PLEASE let me be able to handle the pain nausea and dizzies!! Fingers Crossed As a mom who never misses any activity, missing an entire sports season has been devastating to me. Crying

Well Hope yall are having a great pain free day! Group Hug

Tawsha- I'll be praying. I don't have kids, but I know how hard it is to miss stuff like that in general and with my husband. I hope it works out. Praying right now.

Good morning everyone,
Laura, can't wait to hear what new things you learned with Dr. K. I will be looking for the post.
MW, Paint Fume Yuck!! and you can't even open a window. I am sending good thoughts and wishing to you for a quick drying time. Blinking
Eileen, 45 in NJ, California is in the 70 today, but we are supposed to get strong winds, so I hold on to my hat.
Megs, I got my finger crossed for you Fingers Crossed and Yeah!! on getting the kids on the bus.
Kelly, I sympathize with your nausea, I had it all day yesterday, I ended tossing my cookies after a trip to the grocery store. I had my daughter drive I was a wreck all day. I haven't had a really bad one for awhile. But usually mine last days, so I feel pretty lucky to have kicked it out in one day. Today I feel pretty good. I was able to catch a ride with a friend this morning and I got to see my son in a school play this morning, even though the flourescent lights were making me spin a little and I think I can get some work done today. Gretchen, good luck with you denist appt. I still don't like going to the denist. Keep us updated on the bribery scandal.
Jamie, if you see this, I hope you are feeling better. I read your post from yesterday and I felt so bad for you. It stinks to be in pain but double when you are away from home. Let us know how you are.
That's it for now. Have a great day

I'm ready for another cup of tea. My 4 hour meeting broke up after 2 1/2 hours... Only 3 of 6 people came. Not necessarily good for my business, but good for my head! I get to do some more work on my projects here at my desk, anyway. If I can ever tear myself away from the forum...

Kelly & Gretchen & Tawsha - I'm with you on the overdoing. When I was recovering from chronic fatigue a few years ago I promised my coach to rest (lying down) every day even when i didn't feel like I needed to. It seems like I'm there again!

Tawsha I have my fingers crossed for you, too, to make it to the wrestling match. Fingers Crossed I've got Rachel's choir concert tonite - I love those concerts so, and she works so hard, and she's been kind of down - so I really want to make it.

Group Hug to everyone.

My sleep schedule is all messed up. I'm migrainey again today. Just the pain, though, little nausea. Which is good, 'cause I'm trying to sleep it off- after taking frova, and I won't be puking everywhere.

Awwwwww, Jamie ~ yesterday really bit the big one, didn't it? I'm so sorry it was so ugly for you. Sorry I didn't see this all sooner, as I took that forum break, so as not to inflict my snarly self on everybuddy after that horrid trip to the evil blood-sucking fiend idiot doc.

I have been meaning to mention, though, that Monday I forgot my lunch, so I decided to zip across the street to Quizno's for a mesquite chicken and bacon sub. The manager person pointed out that iffin I was interested, they've just brought back the rather tasty chicken noodle soup sans onjins! Apparently, they got a boatload o' complaints after they axed it. I didn't get any, but I immediately thought of you. Hooray! Smiler
