Well my day started off yucky. Woke up with the migraine I've been waiting to hit. I've had tinnitus really strong since Tues. so I knew it was on it's way.

Too bad it had to be today, DH is playing tonight and this just kills it for me. I don't want to be anywhere near loud music, even with ear plugs.

Hopefully the Frova will kick it's butt and fast, but since December, my pattern has changed and now when I get a migraine, they seem to stick around for a few days at a time. Awesome! And on a weekend I had so much stuff to do!

Hope you all are having a better day then me!

Sorry to hear you're in the middle of a migraine, Eileen...I hate the ones I wake up with. I hope the Frova kicks in for you too.

I slept maybe 2 hours last night and I still have a full days' work ahead of me! YAY! I plan on napping when I get home but I know it will probably trigger me too. So maybe I can take yours by the time I wake up!

I hope everyone's well today. Stay out of trouble! Big Grin

Mornin yall!

Aww Eileen, ss to hear ya woke with a beast this AM. I really hope your frova kicks it in the beastie booty!

Leeloo, girl ya gotta get your sleep! Heres hoping the nappy dont wake the beastie!

I had a pretty good one going on yesterday, but feel ok today! I was supposed to have a phone appt. with my neuro, but of course she canceled it. now the next appt isnt for 13 days, and I had a TON of things to talk to her about Mad

Jenny, in reply to your post yesterday.. If you see this today.. One thing I found that seems to be working GREAT to get my kiddos to brush good is a pre brushing mouthwash. Its called Inspector Hector Plaque Detector.(PHEW) Anyway it comes in bubble gum or mint. It leaves a blue color on all the plaque. When all the blue is brushed away, they know their teeth are clean!

Its kinda like those dumb disclosure tablets but not near as messy!(those stained evertying, and never seemed to rinse out of thier toothbrushes)
anyway I am no longer fighting them with how long they brushed, and especially how WELL they brushed! Thumbs Up

Well kids have the day off today and monday for holiday, wish me luck Fingers Crossed gonna be crazy with house still needing unpacked. And my sons foots been hurting so I need to take him to the Dr today too.

Have a great day yall! Group Hug

Good morning everyone.

Eileen, sorry you woke with the migraine; I agree, the ones you wake up with are the worst.

Leeloo, get some sleep! That's an order. Wink

Tawsha, my kids are off today and Monday, too. Here's my dilemma - finding something they like to do together when one is a 16 y/o girl and the other is a 10 y/o boy. Here's a hint: Nothing!

We have Bible study tonight - it's a great group of people and should be fun. One of these days we'll have to host it here at our house, oy vey!

That's about it except thinking of something for supper - I can't seem to satisfy my 16y/o lately. The other night I sent her to her room hungry because she was moaning and groaning about what we were having. I knocked on her door later and told her if she doesn't like what I'm cooking, then she needs to start menu planning and cooking.

Eileen, I hope you feel better as the day goes on. Leeloo, I hope a nap find it's way to you as the day goes on.

I woke up with neck pain which worries me because that often leads to a migraine. We'll see where that goes.

This is the first day of my disability. Yesterday was really hard. It was my last day at work/school. I didn't tell my students or any of my colleagues (except a couple who HAD to know) that I was leaving. So while I was having the Valentine's party with my first graders and their parents, all I could think was how I was leaving them and they didn't know it. I felt so guilty. Once everything was over, I had to pack up my classroom. While I was packing up, I was full of emotion . . about leaving, about the kids, probably because I'm tired, because of the head pain, because I'm coming off topamax and feel like crap, etc. I sobbed the entire time I packed up my classroom. My sons came up and helped me load up the truck and take everything home.

Once home, I had a killer stress headache (not a migraine amazingly enough) and I was exhausted. My eyes were swollen and I felt like crap. I was so over-tired, I could not sleep so it took a while for me to fall asleep.

But that hard time is behind me now. I have to look ahead and focus on getting a handle on this beast. This is the first day of a new beginning.

Eileen - what does DH play? Just curious.
My DH is lead guitar. I absolutely hate to miss gigs because of the migraines, but some of them they play in bars and smoke is a huge trigger for me. Actually no one likes it because without me they have no sound tech.
I hope that it's gone for you soon!

Tawsha - best of luck unpacking. Did you see the stuff I posted about the inhalers? I know you've got plenty to do I just wanted to make sure you saw it.

Leeloo - hope you can get some sleep that doesn't cause you problems.

Deb - good luck with the kids and the holiday.

I am having a good day so far. My parents are coming up this weekend but that is good because it means that we don't have to drive. I am so sick of driving! Can someone build a transporter thing?

Good luck everyone.

Y'all have to stop waking up with a beast. And nighttime is for sleeping.

Sparky got really emphatic about not wanting to take his tramadol this morning. I don't blame him. Nasty medicine squirted into his mouth with a syringe. He's at the beauty parlor now.

Cleaned out the carport yesterday. Took a couple of hours, and there's still one wall to go. But it looks great. Now if my neighbor's oak tree would stop dropping leaves...

It's birthday season around here. Mine was the 3rd. My niece's was the 11th. My baby brother's is today. I really should figure out something else to call him, but he's the youngest. My sister's is the 18th. Daddy's is the 26th.

DH got us reservations for tonight, but we're going to move them. I've been craving a steak, and this place makes good ones, but it's Friday during Lent, and the fish at this place isn't that good. [How's that for a run-on sentence.

Hoopsky -- the first few days of disability are the toughest. It's also strange after a holiday, when you normally would go back to work. But the day before I quit, it was almost like it was the last day of school, right before summer vacation. I hope you get things under control very quickly!

Y'all have a good day. I'm off to the co-op for spices and bread and something carob.

Good Morning Everyone,

Eileen-YAHOOOO!!For the Frova!! Thumbs Up Keep that beastie away!

Gretchen-Have a great Friday and I hope Sparky enjoys his trip to the beauty parlor Big Grin

Laurelin-I can't help you with the transpoter thing LOL, but if you figure it out can I borrow it to visit my parents in Vermont LOL. Have a great time visiting with your parents this weekend Big Grin.

Hoopsky-I am sorry you had a rough day yesterday Group Hug. I know how hard it is having to leave your students, but remember this is the best thing for you and your family. Hang in there Heart

Deb-You make me giggle when I read about your 16y/o and supper. I had the same problem with the twins. I did the same thing too. I set up one day a week that they planned the meal and cooked. They hated it so much that it only lasted a month and they never (okay, hardly ever) complained again LOL. Now, they just complain I don't cook dinner for them and save it IN CASE they make it home from wherever they are and may want to eat. UGGG to be young again LOL

Tawsha-Hope unpacking goes well this weekend. At least you don't have to drive the children to school. I love four day weekends. Zach's off too. Have a great one Big Grin

Leeloo-Night time is for sleeping LOL. Hope you can get your well-deserved nap today Zzzz'z

As for me, today is the first day my head is clear YAHOOOOO!! I have been having bad migraines and problems with my meds and supplements. I have had these dark circles under my eyes and tingles all over my body for three to four hours at a time, heart palpatations and shortness of breath. I can't get a hold of my doctor, even when I went to the ER. So, now that I am thinking clearly. He is Fired. Time to start looking for someone new. I am doing better today. Hope everyone has a super Friday Big Grin

Dar, Kath will cook when it's something she wants to cook, but she won't cook when I ask her to cook what I've got out. I really don't know how she got so picky - textures bother her.

Hoopsky, sounds like yesterday was a sad day. I hope your time off is productive.

Hi gang -

This is real late in the day for me to be in the tea room - means I get to say hi to everyone Big Grin - let's see...

Dar - I'm so glad your head is clear! Hope the new doctor search goes well! Good Luck

Leeloo I sure hope you get your nap and that it is blissful and painless. Zzzz'z

Tawsha it's so great to hear from you again the past couple of days - good luck with the unpacking. maybe your guys can spend some of that home time helping you! Thumbs Up

Deb I could totally relate with the 16 y/o and supper - we have the pb&j standby rule - "fine, go make yourself a pb&j." Cool

Hoopsky sorry it was so hard leaving but I hope this is a great opportunity for you to get better and turn your life around! Flower

Eileen I wish your ears would be quiet and the beast would slink away - hard to miss DH's gig! Fingers Crossed

Gretchen you want to come clean-up something for me next? You sure are getting a lot done! Wink

Laurelin I've been trying to get that transporter thing together to visit my best friend in Minn for the past 11 years, but no breakthroughs yet! Roll Eyes

MJ must be on her way to the Olympic Peninsula - wishing her a beautiful trip! Fingers Crossed

Well, I had my neuro visit - posted more about it on the doctors thread. He was okay, not fabulous. Trying increased magnesium + B2, he gave me Imitrex injectable as well as the tabs so my ins should cover more. I'm encouraged about the treatment, but I didn't find the great Dr. Partner I was hoping for. My physician search may not be over yet.

I'm finishing the week tired, as usual. Trying to take it slow today and not push my head. Had a few hints of the beast as I was driving to the dr. and especially after leaving. Okay now. I want to make it up to see my Mom & Dad one day this weekend - haven't seen them since New Year's and they're not feeling up to travel - it's a little under 2 hours up there.

Our guys have a 5 day weekend this time - R has study plans and fun plans with friends almost all weekend, but we're going to have to find ways to keep A busy! He's been home with strep for 3 days, starting to feel better and so is getting pretty punchy.

His 13th b-day coming next Thurs - we've got to get ready for that, too, including next weekend the hideous migraine-inducing sleep-over party with 6 additional boys. Rachel runs off to sleep at a friend's, I hide in my room and Danny copes! Actually they're nice boys and it's mostly not bad - but I'm sure not the one who's on duty half the night!

Feel well, everyone!

- megs

Nope, haven't left quite yet. Wink DBF and I will be leaving after lunch - just wanted to pop in here and see how my forum family is doing.

I'll be back on Monday night - we'll be completely cut off from civilization while we're gone (no tv, cell phone coverage, radio, internet) and I'm really looking forward to it. Plus there's no way work can get in touch with me while I'm gone!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, as beastie-free as possible!! Heart

Hi everyone!

I'm so happy it's Friday! Big Grin

Geez--I won't ever remember everybuddy, so know that I'm saying "Hi" to you all and thinking of you!! Smiler (That'll teach me to come to the tea room so late in the day!)

Long day at home for me. Now both boys have the croup. I think this is our 2nd time this season--maybe even the third. I always worry most about my older son because he's got asthma. The croup seems to have him wheezing in his throat and his chest both. He's been practically attached to his nebulizer all day. I may have to take them both to see the doctor tomorrow AM.

As usual, when things get wild or the kids get sick my head is just perfect. Smiler Now tomorrow or the next day when they are feeling better and we are all sleeping well...That's when I need to LOOK OUT! Hair Raising

Oh Tawsha--Thank you for the tooth brushing suggestion! My older son is SOOOO worried about doing EXACTLY what the dentist who visited his school recommended. He used a little timer and brushed for exactly 3 minutes this AM. Then he hollered at me for buying bottled water that doesn't have fluoride. He absolutely refused to drink it! So I lied and told him it did have fluoride...I'm probably going to pay for that fib. Devil

Hugs to you all. Happy Friday!
Heartjenny

ps--MJ, have a wonderful, relaxing, fun weekend! Group Hug

I'm in here late.

For everyone who was feeling ill, I hope you're doing better by now!

I had a good day at work- was productive and all that jazz.

Went home and spent time with DH, and now I'm catching up on all of the forum posts that I didn't see earlier.

My project for tomorrow (while watching college b-ball) is to gather stuff we don't use anymore and make a pile of it- some to go to goodwill, others to friends, and some to the trash. I may put some things on eBay, but I'm such a novice that I'm "that person" who needs to read all of the steps each time I list something- 'cause I'm too lazy to make a template...

Laurelin, Yes TY I did see that info! We dont have that pharmacy around here I dont think. I did call around to Walgreens, Rite-aid, Bi-mart and Walmart, none of them have the old abuterol. Darn. I guess I will have to have a chit chat with his dr. and look for other options.

Debs, Tee hee guess the nice thing about boys is they eat whatever! They always hungry! Mine know if they complain about food they can just go hungry! OR if its veggies they complaine about, I give em double Wink They dont complaine anymore Big Grin

My boys ALL love cooking. They take turns helping me or making on their own, dinner now. With four kids, no one is always gonna be pleased with everything served so I just let them take turns helping every night, so if they dont like something one night, they know their turn is soon. It all workes out, and some lucky lady in the future is gonna be happy I taught her hubby how to cook Big Grin not to mention put the toilet seat down Big Grin

Jenny, your quite welcome! WOW how did you get your lil guy to do THAT?? Lucky you! Jeez wait till he is older, then its a constant battle to get em to brush properly Roll Eyes TEE HEE!

Ok nite yall! my beastie is tryin to rear its ugly head bigtime tonight
