Hey all!

I am really really Mad right now. I'm at work - now mind you this is now 2 days after I sent perfume girl a very nice email asking her to please stop wearing her triggery perfume.

Guess what??!!??

She is wearing enough for a whole brothel today! It is so super strong I can't take it. I now have yet another migraine! I am so fed up with this chick I don't know what else to do.

My boss is not in yet, it's the end of the month and I doubt there is any way I can leave today - but too bad, so sad, I may have to.

I mean this girl has been spoken to by my boss and then I also sent her an email. Now I can't get near her to talk to her myself because of the fume coming off her body. I think she should be the one sent home for disobeying....but I'd rather go since now I feel like Skillet.

Unfortuantly if I leave, I have to use my time, and void all my overtime from this week, which I really need.

UGH!!!! I hate when people just can't follow simple directions!!!!

I hope you guys are having a much better day then I.

Thanks for listening!!

Good morning!

Hooray, my internet is staying connected today! (Ok, I've only been on for a few minutes but much better than yesterday) I added a booster and it wasn't configured with the router, long story short, almost 3 hours of phone support. Hair Raising And, I'm still not sure if my son's desktop is working. I will deal with that later.

Well, please allow me to whine for a few minutes. They had a "229 threat" (named for today's date) at Raymond's high school. It's safe to talk about now because the time expired on it. Karma and all that. But, anyway, it started with kids getting texts on their phones about a "gunman at 8:30 don't say you weren't warned". Then, it was on MySpace for lots of kids. No pattern of which kids, and all info was blocked by the sender/poster.

Parents called the police last night and thankfully, they were already prepared last night for this morning. There will be a large police presence at schools in our town today. The threat began in PA exactly the same way and worked it's way down here. What is wrong with people today???

Then, my oven decided to quit working. It cooks but my meatloaf last night took 2.5 hours; the rolls that should only take 15 took almost 30 minutes and cooked unevenly. So, Paulie and I are off to Home Depot and Best Buy so I can get one today. Why couldn't it have been the Swiffer mop? That I can afford to replace!

Ok, vent over. Thanks for listening.

On a much happier note: Paul is doing great! The Z-pac is working it's magic and the cough is finally going away which means his incision isn't hurting as much. I even had him do two small chores yesterday (yes, I'm that mean) to get the blood flowing. He also finished most of his homework.

My head is holding up fairly well. I woke up with a slight one yesterday but the Maxalt worked right away!! Big Grin I thank Zanaflex for working it's magic just like the Z-pac. I'll be posting a success story on Zanaflex in a little bit. I love it!!

Everyone who was not feeling well yesterday, I hope you are doing well today Group Hug

Eileen-don't you wish you had a hose and some non-scented soap for her right now?

Lori-I hope you get better!

Laura -

Oh my gosh! I can't believe you had a threat at school! How crazy is this world really? I wonder that every day!

Yeah, a hose would be wonderful!!! And I'd take her out in the nice 12 degree weather and hose her off! Maybe then she would finally get it. I think my head is starting to calm down a bit. It just really really stinks that I have to walk past her area to get to the bathrooms and I have to tinkle really really bad!!!! I just don't want to go near her for fear it will ramp my head back up!

Some people - I really think it's just being inconsiderate at this point.

At least it's Friday!!!

Glad to hear your Zach is feeling better!! Yippee!!!

Laura- How insane was that scare. Jeepers, I can't imagine how scary it must have been

Eileen- I think you need a Super Soaker. Each day that Perfume lady wears perfume, you spray her from across the room. That way you don't have to get close to her in order to remind her that her odor is particularly offensive to you (and possibly others)

As for me, I had a good appt with the worker's comp doc yesterday, and it looks like my med bills from this spill are going to be taken care of!!! I'm back on painkillers, but hopefully not for long. I also found out that I had sprained my knee and ankle not just bruised them. No wonder why they had hurt so much. Yes The more I try and get out of the sling, the more pain I'm in, and I've just realized that I'm going to have to take things more slowly. I've been given permission to, and thus, I'm gonna have to take the docs up on that.

I feel pretty good today. Had a migraine last night, but used one tablet of amerge and some sleep and i'm fine this morning. not much in the way of a postdrome, either.

I was going to complain about our weather being cold, but then Eileen, you mentioned how cold it was up there, so I think I'll refrain from talking about our 40 degree day.

Happy Friday, everyone!

Eileen - sorry that she is being so mean. Hopefully your boss will come in soon and something can be done to keep this from happening to you again. Hang in there. Maybe you can hold your breath when you walk by her??

Laura - that's so crazy about the threat to the school. What is with people? We had some stuff like that when I was in school but it was always jsut come kid who didn't want to take a test that day.... of course they always found out who it was and then they were in big trouble!

Hope everyone else is having a good day. I am doing okay so far. I had a weird 30 second aura in the elevator earlier, not at all like my normal ones that look like snow. This was like 4 smallish triangles floating around in my vision. Why triangles? Why the triangles with the long point on the front shaped like Bugles? Why were they yellow against the carpetting and white when I closed my eyes? That was over an hour ago though so if I'm lucky that's all I'm going to get.

Good luck to everyone today.

Ok, problem solved!

"perfume girl" got my email - said she won't wear it anymore. Said she had not checked her email in days Head Banging but will no longer wear it.

Then boss sent out mass email telling all no strong fragences in the office! Yippee!!! I think it's finally score 1 for Eileen!!!!

Eileen -- Great news!
I was wasting time surfing the other day and ended up on a famous quilter's website, looking at the workshops she offered. She requested that students not wear scented products to the workshop as many people are sensitive to them.

I think the stinky girl ought to have to go home and shower -- on her own time. I'm so glad she came around.

I hope the day gets better. Yesterday was pretty awful, but I slept for 4 or 5 hours yesterday afternoon. DH went back to work today and says he's feeling much better.

Talked to DS Monday or Tuesday, and I might not hear from him until he comes in for Spring Break March 8. Gosh, that's next week! Where DOES the time go!

Best day to all!

Morning all! I managed to make it to work on time this morning, which is better than I've done all week. (Fridays I go in at 8:30 for our weekly staff meeting; the rest of the week I go in at 9.) I took the Topamax a little earlier, and asked DBF to make sure I was up before he left for work at 8. He also called me. The Topa is making me feel a bit woozy and off-kilter, but as I remember this side effect does eventually go away.

Eileen, sorry to hear that perfume girl is bathing in perfume rather than soap and water. Good that she read your email and is changing her tune.

Lori, hope you start feeling better so you can enjoy the weekend.

Laura, glad that everything turned out ok at your son's school. We had a number of bomb/shooting threats when I was in both HS and college. (Then of course my college - Virginia Tech - became famous the year after I graduated for that awful shooting last April.) Good luck on your oven search today.

Jamie, take it easy, girl! We need you back whole and healthy so don't stress out your various joints too much. Wink

Laurelin, hopefully your aura stays just an aura and doesn't develop into anything further.

Gretchen, good to hear your DH is doing better. Hope you're feeling better from yesterday as well.

Everyone, have a good Friday - the weekend is almost here! Heart

Eileen - That is so great. I'm so glad you have the boss on your side, too. Thumbs Up

I saw your post early this morning - I got so riled up, I decided Perfume Girl needed an intervention on her insensitivity addiction. I started writing an imaginary email to her for you - something like "I must believe that you have no idea how much pain you cause me every time you wear perfume, since I hate to think that you were making me suffer like this on purpose..." Then I had a meeting and then met with two clients and came back and saw you had it all resolved. Yay! Anyway, I want you to know all my psychic energy was going into outrage against Perfume Girl - I hope it helped! Wink

I just can't get warm this morning. I was just meeting with a client with my teeth chattering. Woke up feeling great but after a solid morning of work I'm feeling a little pro-dromy. And tired.

I haven't had a day without at least a little head pain in weeks. I don't know if my pattern has changed or if I'm just more aware of it. Anyway, last night I was tired and headachy but Danny had to be out and so I cooked for the kids, had a nice conversation with Rachel and helped her with homework, played a game with Adam, folded laundry, and watched some tv. The head pain didn't change, didn't get better or worse, but I had a nice evening. So I'm just trying not to let what goes on in my head stop me, unless it's an out & out migraine. I see Dr. Young at Jefferson June 3. My PCP on March 13. In the meantime I'm just trying to figure it out the best I can.

Gretchen I hope you feel better - you've been having a rough few days.

Laurelin I hope your aura doesn't bring anything else along later!

Jamie keep on taking care of yourself! Hate those falls and all the damage they do - I'm with you there! Enjoy your 40 degree day! Wink (I think it's finally above 20 here.) Good news about the worker's comp!

Laura what a mess with that threat! We had our high school locked down twice this year - once because they found an air rifle package in the parking lot and once because of a bomb threat. You know the chances are there's nothing to it but it's so scary and so disruptive! I'm glad Paul is doing better, though.

Lori good luck recuperating, you feel better!

I've got so much I want to do that I didn't get to this week. I need to look through it all and decide what's most important, because if I try to do it all I'll have a migraine for sure. Very dear family friend from the Netherlands will be visiting on Sunday up at my folks' so I need to keep well enough to go see him. Got to take Adam out to tutoring at 4:30, so that's when my work week will be over.

Good morning, barely. Wink

Had a follow up at the sleep clinic. The doctor liked my sleep diary, thinks I'm doing better. I get an extra half hour to sleep on weekends - 8 a.m.! And, when my current script runs out, she wants me to switch to Ambien CR.

Since it's lights and computer out at 11 p.m., with a table side lamp for reading, I told her I was reading lots of books. She likes books, too. I said I had read Pillars of the Earth (she read that) and the sequel, World Without End. I highly recommened the sequel to her and she's going to read that and she recommended The Brothers K to me - based on the Russian novel which I'm not even going to attempt to spell, but set in modern times in America. We both said our books we recommened were books we'd like to read again for the first time.

I go back at the end of April.

Eileen, good for you for conquering the perfume lady!

Jamie, glad your workman's comp worked out.

Laura, oh my gosh! How scary. We had something similar at the HS last year. A kid set off a chemical bomb in an empty locker (which Kath neglected to tell me about, I had to learn about it from my mother who saw it on the news! Me: "Kath, why didn't you say anything?" Kath: "It was no big deal." Um, ok?) Then a rumor got started that the boy, who was suspended, was going to come back on the seniors' last day and "shoot up the place." That had everyone worried, but the district and principal assured everyone that it was a rumor and they had things under control.

I'll bet we'll all have some similar stories to tell. I'm glad everything worked out OK Laura.

Tried my first go round on getting the measurements figured out on my chicken soup last night. I made a change and I should've never done it, I used boxed chicken stock instead of bullion cubes. I thought t he bullion cubes weren't "Foodnetwork-y" enough. I still don't want to use them, so I researched chicken base, no MSG, and I'm going to try that. I also purchased all new spices and I got a wee bit too much cayenne pepper in the soup! Devil

I'm heading out of town tomorrow morning to visit my friend in IL; I'll be back Sunday afternoon.

Hi everyone,

Eileen-That is great news about stinky girl. I thought I was going to have to bring DH fire truck down and squirt her down for you LOL.

Lori-Get some rest and recupperate Zzzz'z

Laura-I can't believe that happened at Raymond's school Hair Raising That is so scary. People are crazy these days. I hope the catch the people responsible.

Jamie-You took quite a tumble. A sprained knee too!!! Sometimes I think a sprain hurts worse then breaking something. Try to take it easy. Hope you feel better soon.

Laurelin-I get wierd auras, but never had triangles. Hope that all you get today!!

Gretchen-I hope today is better for you then yesterday Fingers Crossed

As for me, yesterday I did way to much and had way to many triggers. So, yes I am migraining today Thumbs Down I took a maxalt to hopefully kick it out, so we will see. I was supposed to sell cookies at Zach's school today, but there's no way. My good friend is going to cover for me. I am just going to lay low today.

Hope everyone has a good Friday

Hi all,

Glad to know that Eileen has won against the stink! A small victory is victory for us all, no doubt. Smiler

I can't say that I have been good over the past week. It's been an uphill battle with Status Migrainous that FINALLY broke after I took an Axert...I almost gave up and went to the ER. I would have gone to my specialist for an IV but when I woke up yesterday I seemed better, and then two hours later I tanked again and tried to take a vicodin to at least rest on...No go. I've taken way too many meds over the past week even though I have tried to be sparing, but this cycle has been a surprising non-stop run of one severe migraine that comes knocking as soon as I am up and lucid, which is unusual for me. Generally the migraines are split up and I get a break in the middle.

Scares like that at school are terrifying. When I was in HS we had a couple but they ended up being nothing, of course, they were more like bomb threats but we had to be evacuated, etc. and my mom refused to keep me in any of those days. Back then the internet was more in its infancy and there was no MySpace, and AOL was just starting its IM service, but now they have so many vehicles on which to post scare tactics, it's ridiculous.

Hi everybody!

Just popped in to say hello! Those of you in Jersey, look out for this crazy snow (you've probably already got it). We've had at least 5 inches and another couple are on the way!

My son's bus was 1 hour late after school today--the roads were just awful!

I decided this morning that I wanted to get my house really cleaned up before the weekend. Started that job, but I haven't been able to finish yet. I went through the mail at least...ugh. My belly is not cooperating today--but no real head pain, just very mild.

Laura, I think I might have kept my son home from school--those threats are SO scary! The kids today live in such a different time than when I was in school! When I was a senior, we had at least 20 bomb threats in my high school. No one took them seriously and no one even worried! Today, things are just so different!

So many of you here--and I am completely out of forum time! Just know I love you all and I'm thinking of you!

Heartjenny

ps--Eileen, congrats on the perfume victory! I'll do a victory dance for you when my tummy stops feeling so crummy! Smiler
