Hi Good morning everyone -

Yesterday afternoon's post-drome seems to be gone for me. Danny got the kids out without any yelling this morning - wow! (That's a wow for him and for them - and gratitude cuz I got to sleep as much as I needed. Thanx ) Got up to find he had made pancakes - which I ate with no sugar added jam and felt virtuous! then we had a nice walk with Kimi. It's kind of gray and chilly but not bad and daffodils are up all over the park. I feel more energetic now after the walk than I have in many days.

Our taxes are at the accountant, ready to pick up and file. First year in about 5 that we won't be going on extension! Yay! That means we'll get out economic stimulus pittance sooner. Pop that right on some bills!

Time to plan the week. That always involves making my ridiculous list that's longer than a non-migraineur fatiguey person could do, then cutting out what's not essential right now, then marking more stuff I can cut out if I have to. Yesterday while I had the migraine I created my updated meds/supplements schedule and loaded up pill cases for the week. I'm ready to take on all comers! Wink

Hope you're all well.

Heart - Megs

Good Morning,

Megs you have a great start to your day and week. A great breakfast, a walk and a list. Really, I think I need your help.

Any of your out here and need a guide, let me know. I love the chance to play tourist in my own town. It's usually the only time, other than Golden Gate Park, that I get to the sites.

I got out to the yard for a bit yesterday. Not near long enough. I am hopeful this week after work with the evenings longer I can do a bit than. I need the exercise and the yard needs the work. When I don't have the kids here I don't have to deal with a "real" dinner. I in fact tend to get fozen meals. Dinner by myself is not exciting so I eat because I have to.

Ok, off to work and such. Take care everyone. Oh the pie talk was just cruel. My aunt made the best pies in the world. I thought about them all night. I make pies, but my crusts still aren't as good as hers as hard as I try.

Good morning, everyone!

I had fun at the races. There were tons of people. I ended up with a slight migraine by the time we headed home but it wasn't too bad. I was able to take my medicine to take care of it. Overall, I enjoyed the time with my son and my friend.

I hope everyone has a great and pain-free week.

Good morning guys!

It is rainy and cold outside, really gross weather but it is going to warm up and be sunny in a few days! The beast got me yesterday but it was after our company left. I'm all better today...hooray!

The house is ours again. Don't get me wrong, I loved having them but it was a reminder of when all my kids were young and we had to keep a watchful eye on them all the time.

The girls (mine is 8 and our friends' are 6 and 2) had a fun time with Moon Sand. For those who don't know what it is, you can make sandcastles, etc. with it and not have to worry about it drying out. Very cool stuff but not meant for a two year old at all. Let's just say, no one had to go to the beach because it was in Leighann's room waiting for us. I can safely say, it is very much like real sand and gets everywhere!! I'm still finding it Hair Raising

I have to take Paul to the ortho doc in a little while. I'm hoping they will say, no problems, he can walk without the crutches and the cast. I wish huh?

Megs and Heather - glad you're feeling better too.

Cindy - Hmmm, looking out my window, your neck of the country sounds pretty good right about now...be ready for me LOL

Good Morning All--

I worked my first whole weekend in at least a year. It turned out great. I am obviously completely over the pneumonia--had energy to spare thank goodness. My shoulder is so much better it's unbelievable. I have trouble stretching it just now and then. It gets a little sore if I don't use the Lidoderm patch which I forgot to use yesterday at work and then forgot to apply at bedtime. So it's a bit sore this a.m. I'll see if some p.t. will help in a bit.

Spring is here in central Texas. The bluebonnets are blooming along with all our other spring wildflowers. It won't be as spectacular this year as last. We didn't get rain at the crucial time this year. Last year my farthest hayfield was solid blue and DH and I fought because I wouldn't let him apply weedkiller until the flowers had gone to seed. I call them the Texas state flower--he calls them weeds in his hayfield!

Heather--I so glad you had fun at the races! It was a beautiful weekend for it, wasn't it!

Anybody who doesn't want their rain could send it to us. With the coastal starting to grow, we could use a bit every week. It's really hard to water that much grass unless you're God.

Hope everybody has a super pain-free day!

I was supposed to visit a friend today, but she called to reschedule -she was helping her sister last week who was sick and that put off everything she needed to do for her youngest's birthday party. So we'll get together next week.

This means I got the shopping done. Now that I'm home, this is the last thread I'm posting to and I'm getting off the computer. My shoulder is not loving me right now.

Cindy, sorry about the pie talk. Wink

Megs, glad you had a good morning.

Heather, glad you had fun with your son.

Laura, glad your company is gone? Seriously, I'm glad you had fun with them. Where can I find Moon Sand? Your story reminds me of the first time we took Kath to the beach - she was one. It was low tide so she sat in about a few inches of water and was playing with the sand. Before we could do anything, that sand went right in her mouth! So she's crying with her tongue sticking out and we're trying to scrape it off!

Nikoli brings half the beach home with him!

Hi everyone,

It's almost noon here, so I'm having my diet coke in the tea room today.

We've got a beautiful, sunny day here in PA! It's so nice to see the sunshine after the rainy, dreary week we had last week! Smiler The kids and I may have to go for a hike today. (We've got some really terrific bird-watching trails nearby--the boys love them!)

Megs, you should bottle your motivation and share some with all of us!! Big Grin You're really on top of things this morning!!

Cindy, I'm with you on the pie talk. I can't make a really good one no matter how hard I try! My big sister is an excellent baker--but she NEVER measures anything--and she never uses a recipe!! She throws in a little of this and a little of that and her cakes, cookies, and pies turn out perfect! (I'm definitely jealous...)

Heather, glad you enjoyed your day out!!

Laura, I'm glad to hear you had a nice visit with your friends--and glad to hear you're feeling well today! We got Moon Sand for our kids 2 years ago. They liked it, but our kitchen was a Moon Sand disaster! AND it was winter when we got it, so the kids were dressed in long sleeves and long pants--the Moon Sand stuck all over their clothes and looked like a layer of felt! Definitely a fun but messy activity. My boys are now enjoying Silly Putty (pulling up pictures from the newspaper and rolling it into a ball to bounce it on the floor). Brings back memories from when I was a kid...

Tracie, it's terrific to hear that you're finally feeling well! Try to take it easy, though--pneumonia is nothing to mess around with!

Deb, enjoy your shopping--and take good care of your shoulder! You can buy Moon Sand at Walmart near the PlayDoh.

Sending you all Smiler. Oh, and on the migraine front, I'm still getting a little better each day!

Hi all!

I got slammed hard yesterday. I have not had a migraine like this kind in a long time. No real aura - that I realized at least.

Started on Sat. night as a TTH and I just went to sleep, thinking I'd wake up Sunday all good...I was wrong.

Woke up and it was out of control. Everything that went down, came back up - ugh! Dinner at inlaws cancelled - oh well.

I'm better today though - thank God because if I wasn't I was going to go to the ER just because I was out of anything to take and nothing was helping.

I got up this morning and no pain. I feel wierd but no pain. Hopefully that's the last of that for a while.

I'm not 100% sure of the trigger, but on Friday when we went out to see our friends band, there was a fog machine there and that could be it - that and cleaning out my closet on Sat....you know, just over extending with reaching and folding and all that good stuff. At least my closet is stunning!!! Finally!!!

Ok well I should get some work done - it's been a slow go this morning.

Hope you are all doing well!!! Heart+ Group Hug to all!

Laura-Moon Sand sounds like fun, messy, but fun!!

As you can tell, I have a busy week ahead. We have a big job starting, paperwork piling up. The twins forgot to gas up there car so I had to drive Nicole to work so she would make it on time. To add to this, Zach is home sick, so add the doc's to my list Hair Raising Among the typical things that need to be done.

This weekend we started hosting a high-school student from another country becuase where she was staying was not working out. She is very sweet and the twins are loving it. To make it work, DH and I moved the whole house around this weekend, beds, etc. So, I am exhuasted today, but must keep going!! At least my head is working with me.

Hope everyone day is Super

Wow, I get worn out just reading about everyone's busy lives! I guess I used to be like that, but it's hard to remember, since I've had to let go of so much.

I stayed migraine free yesterday, but my head hurts already today. Not yet migraine so just lying down with icepack atm.

So I was reading an article in Sunday's NYTimes arts sections and the theater writer, Charles Isherwood, referred to two plays as "the most migraine-inducing" on Broadway. And he wasn't talking about strobe lights or noise. He was using it to mean annoying or dumb or hard to sit through. I think we need to all pile on him about that and educated his sorry butt. What do you think?

I can't find his email address but the main one is:

Have fun with it!

Afternoon yall!

Ugg was slammed hard with the beast yesterday and its continuing today. Cant take anything yet, as I still have to go pick up my kiddos from school before to long.

I had a neuro appt. today. We determined the Namenda was making things worse not better, I had already lowered the dose on my own to a tollerable but pretty much worthless ammount. My neuro has decided that my only option at this point is to try the Botox. She is also putting me on Magnesium. We are keeping the Depakote the same, though there was some talk of upping it. I must say she got a good laugh over the fact that our Pup Kineta ate my month of March Migraine diary! I didnt find it too funny at the time, but did have to laugh about it today.. UMM doc.. My dog ate my diary.... Head Banging

She offered to do the botox today, but as I had driven myself, I couldnt get it done. See I am a MAJOR whimp when it comes to needles in my head, so she is going to sedate me a bit to do the injections. I get a happy pill Big Grin LOL Anyway the next available time is not until May 15th! She only does her botox clinics every thursday. I am on a cancelation list though,so if someone cancels, I may get called in either the 17th or 30th of April.

Well the boys are back to school today. We so enjoyed last week off, so it was a drag getting back into the schedule again! The only plus side for the boys was that "Its the first day driving us to school in the NEW car!" Funny what humors children Blinking

Anyway Im rambling on and on, so I will go now. Brain fog rambles...
Have a great day yall!

Hi, all! Smiler

Hope all of you with assorted icks in attendance find them vacating soon. Hopefully they're already gone as I scribble.

Just an ordinary day for me here. I'm going to forum for a few minutes, until I have to go throw some steaks on the grill.

The best news of my day so far was hearing that Jamie is making progress with the whole goobered elbow adventure (wahoo!). Second best is that despite the stale, recirculated air at school and the fluctuating weather with wind and spitting rain, I have not triggered. It's about time I catch a break on that noise!

Have a great night, all, and an excellent week.
