Good morning everyone!

I hope your morning is pain free Smiler

I still have the beast and am treating it with Maxalt and it is keeping it in check. I told DH if this continues we may be headed to the ER tomorrow night/Friday morning. Yucky!

Not much else going on with me. My big adventure today is picking up Paul's school work today and getting an elevator pass so he doesn't get knocked into and then coming back home to get rid of the migraine. Fingers Crossed

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Yep I'm with ya Laura! Low grade migraine on my right side. I took some Skelaxin to see if it knocks it down, but I feel like it's going to be a Frova Power! day.

Hope the kiddies get better soon!!!!

I'm also working on trying NOT to get sick - I think I have a cold trying to break through my immune system. UGH!! I hate the sicky bug!!! It's bad enough to have migraine - then to have to cough on top of it - my eyeball feel like it's going to spring out of my head!!!

I hope the rest of you out there woke up with no pain today! Fingers Crossed

Good Morning!

Laura, sorry you're still battling your migraine. I hope the maxalt does the trick for you.

Hang in there Eileen, you're not alone! It's this crazy weather here in Jersey!

It's laundry day for me! (fun) I was down yesterday and the cleaning fairy never showed..One more needs to get off to school and then I get busy.

Well I hope everyone stays as pain free as possible! As, I told my teenage son this morning, on the brightside the week is half over!!

Happy Wednesday All!

Good Morning Everyone,
You know those cleaning fairies are not as relable as we would like. I just got my tax return and a friend of mine raves about a cleaning service she uses, maybe I'll consider using some of it for a good one time cleaning....

Laura and Eileen I'm sorry to hear that migraines are hounding you this morning.

I am home for the next 3 days. I am now on Zonogron 200 mg at night and each day the fatigue is worse. I can't work. I can hardly get out of bed. I see the neurlogist on Friday. It seems to be starting to help the migraines, I guess we'll discuss how long to give my body to get used to it and how I could or could not work. I've never felt like this before and it's just biazzare. So I will be lounging today, which does sound rather nice now.

I'm sure I'll be back. I don't lounge well for long.

Good morning, my friends and family!

I'm feeling pretty good today- no head pain, anyway. That was yesterday's big adventure.

My elbow still hurts quite a bit, but I'm starting to be able to type again, which is making me (and my coworkers) very happy.

Laura and Eileen, sorry you're in Migraineland. I hope you both manage to get out of it soon.

Cindy- the one time cleaning sounds heavenly to me. Let me know how it works out for you. If we wind up with a refund this year, we may have to do something similar. BTW- I also got VERY sleepy from Zonegran- almost couldn't get out of bed at all for 24 hours straight. I didn't have time to let my body adjust to it, and had to go off, as I have so few sick days at this point that it was impossible to hold down my job and keep at that preventative. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

Well, t'is the extent of my typing at this point. Starting to feel tinglies again. Have a good one, y'all!

Hi all.

Laura & Eileen - I hope you start to feel better.

I could use a cleaning fairie... a reliable one would be best but any time I don't have to clean is good to me.

Take care of yourself Cindy. Sorry you are having such a reaction to your meds. I will trade you... these last few days I had the hardest time getting to sleep, tossing and turning for the first two hours. Not sure what the deal is although it may be my body missing the med that made me drowsy.

Luckily for me I am starting to maintain vision normalacy. I have actually been able to read lately. It is not doing very well at this exact moment but it may just be aura kicking in.

It is still cloudy, cold and snowy here! This was supposed to stop yesterday.

Eileen and Laura, I hope you catch the migraines in time.

I've decided my body goes in cycles. For a couple of weeks I was sleeping well and no migraines. This week has been awful - I woke up at 2:30 this morning and was awake for an hour. The rest of the night was waking up off and on. And of course, I have a migraine.

Last night was science and math night at Nikoli's school. There were science experiments, math games and a science fair exhibition. I am so proud of Nikoli. He made what looked like a complicated wheel and axle set up that ran on a motor - he has a Lego engineering set that he built it from. The thing looked amazing, it worked, and he thought ahead enough to bring the explanation sheet from the notebook that goes with the set. He did this all on his own initiative.

The meeting with his teacher, the district psychologist and school counselor went well. We're going to try having Nikoli turn in in-class work to the teacher instead of putting it in "the bin" (don't know what the bin is) so she can tell him if anything is wrong. This should help keep him from rushing through if he finds out his re-doing everything all the time and help his grades. And, to get him to turn in is daily behavior folder each afternoon, he'll get the incentive of helping the art teacher on Mondays if he turns it in every day. He loves art.

They are willing to do what it takes without have to go the IEP route; I feel like the meeting was successful. We meet again at the beginning of April to see how it's going.

However, Nikoli's teacher still doesn't see an improvement on his morning behavior after increasing his fast acting meds twice now. I'm gonna give it a week and talk to the pediatrician again.

Tonight is roasted chicken so tomorrow night I can work on my soup and figure out measurements. I think this is going to be akin to a science experiment!

Hi guys -

Not morning anymore, I missed it. My turn to get the kids out today and they actually made the bus, but of course as Adam is going out the door I find out that this morning is the absolute drop dead last chance deadline to sign up and pay for the choir competition at Great Adventure - which I never heard of at all until that moment! Roll Eyes So I get to run down to school with the checkbook to fill out the form. Phooey! It got me out to the post office, which was good, got all my insurance stuff out certified mail. Could sure use the $$ back! Fingers Crossed

No migraine yesterday or today so far, but tightness in the forehead both days - I think Gretchen described it as her scalp shrinking - it's like that for me too. I need to get some lunch in me, then I can take my pain-duller (sposed to work for muscular pain).

Deb I'm glad you had a good meeting at school. That roast chicken is sounding awfully good to me right now!

No cleaning fairies here either, and I have 4 loads of laundry to fold since I didn't get to it over the weekend with the migraine - Leeloo said something aobut enough cat hair to make kittens - my floors are like that too - got to get some done today.

Sorry not to reply to everyone, i need to feed myself quick before I mess up my head - don't know where the morning went!

Feel well, y'all!

- Megs

Good Morning,

Laura, Eileen, and Deb-Hope the beast goes away Devil

Lori-Hey, if that cleaning fairy ever shows up could you send her to my house LOL Big Grin

Cindy-Sorry you are having reactions to your meds. Let us know how your neuro appt goes on Friday. Enjoy your rest Zzzz'z

Jamie-It is so great to see you on the forum Big Grin Glad your head is feeling good today, now we have to get your elbow to cooperate!!

Laurelin-That's great that your vision is back to normalacy and you can read. I hate that!! Enjoy your book!!

Deb- Sounds like Nikoli's science fair project was awesome. Zach has to do one next month. Also, that great news about the meeting with Nikoli's teacher and the district psychologist and school counselor. Hopefully, this will help Nikoli. I know how frustrating this can be. My sister son has ADHD and a host of other learning disabilities. They had a rough time all through his school years. He is brilliant, but with the disabilities made it really rough. She had to fight the school more then once. But on a great note, he was just accepted to a private university in Vermont where they live. So, hang in there!!

As for me, I have alot of paperwork to catch up on today. I had the start of a migraine yesterday, but it never got really bad. My head is really clear today YAHOOO!!! And I am supposed to start menstration 2 days from now, so I should be having a migraine. So, shhhh!!! we don't want to wake the beast!! Could it be I actually abortived my migraine? Fingers Crossed

Have a great Wednesday

Morning all! I'm actually feeling pretty ok right now. Hopefully that lasts. I finally slept well last night, though I had some difficulty waking up. I think some of that may be the Topamax, but as I remember that side effect doesn't stick around.

It's rainy here today. I haven't seen any rain here for about a week and a half, which is very strange for this early in the year. I actually missed seeing it. It's not a stormy rain, just a nice gentle one that doesn't bother my head.

Laura, I hope you can completely abort the beast and avoid the ER. Yuck! Have you had to go to the ER since seeing Dr K?

Eileen, that stinks that you're stuck with a migraine *and* a cold. Hopefully they cancel each other out and you start feeling much better!

Lori, the cleaning fairy hasn't showed up for me either. We need to have a talk with her!!

Cindy, your reaction to the Zonegran sounds like the one I had to gabapentin (Neurontin). I felt like I never fully woke up. I didn't even realize how dragged-out and exhausted it made me until I came off of it. Hopefully you can get passed that side effect soon!

Jamie, good to see you here, girl! You keep taking care of that elbow.

Laurelin, so glad that your vision is getting back to normal. And that you can read again! Hopefully you sleep better tonight.

Deb, Nikoli's science project sounds so cool! And it sounds like your meeting went really well. It's so great that his school is willing to work with you.

Megs, it's been ages since I thought about Great Adventure!! (So glad to still hear it called that rather than Six Flags!!) It's always such a popular field trip to go there.

Dar, hope your head stays nice and clear despite your period coming.

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday! Heart

Morning everyone. I'm not doing too badly so far. I seem to be developing a new pattern of nightly migraines. This week, every evening, I find myself getting a migraine around 8 or 9 o'clock. They are all starting in the back of my head in the occiptal area. I used to have a lot of problems in the area over 10 years ago due to a car accident but it stopped. Now it appears to be back. Ugh! Acupuncture helped back then and my husband thinks I should give it a try for this pain again. I haven't decided yet, I'm still watching to see if this pattern continues.

I had a great day yesterday that I didn't get a chance to log in and share. Even though I'm on disability right now, my robotics team from the school where I teach it, went to competition yesterday. They carried it by streaming video live so I was able to watch the whole thing from home. MY KIDS GOT 1ST PLACE! The other teacher I used to teach it with called me on the way home from the competition, put her phone on speaker phone, and let the kids talk to me about it. I really miss being there at times like that. But I was so glad and proud of them I was practically in tears. It was awesome.

I got laundry done and actually made it to a nail appointment to get my nails done. Except for the nightly migraine which set in around 8, I had a great day. Today is quiet with no plans except to run to the store for a few groceries.

Hope everyone else's beast stays minimally painful. The cleaning fairy must be boycotting us migraine people as she hasn't shown her face around here for a long time.

DH is home again today. I'm beginning to get concerned.

Sparky walked me all around the block with nary a limp. I'm very pleased with his new painkiller regimen.

The pain is back today. My Skelaxin, Anaprox and Imitrex cocktail hasn't done much. I'm wanting a nap, and I'll probably ignore good sleep hygiene and take one. My grandmother took a nap every afternoon and lived to be 91. My dad takes one every day he doesn't go to work, and he's 78 and still goes downtown to his law office for 6 - 8 hours a day. Naps can't be that bad for you.

Lots of developments yesterday in the judicial bribery scandal, none of them good for the defendants. Another bribery attempt surfaced, along with more evidence against the Attorney General. It keeps getting bigger.

I missed a haircut appointment this morning. My hair is still behaving and hasn't grown out of its cut. With my short hair, and considering how fast my hair grows, I need it cut every 4 weeks. I didn't check my calendar and just plain missed the appointment. I hope I can get in soon. She stays pretty booked up, and I love what she does to my hair. I also realized that I missed a massage appointment last Friday because we were out of town for the funeral.

I hope the rest of the day is good for everyone.
