Morning, all, and afternoon to you east coasters. I'm posting from home today because I actually called out of work on account of the beastie. This has been a bad couple of weeks. My pain last night was up to an 8 again - luckily for only a few hours before it settled down again and I slept pretty well - but it was at a 6 when I woke up. There was no way I was going to subject myself to fluorescent lighting, computer monitors, clients and consultants today. At least not this morning. So I called out.

I'll post the update here too, for those of you who didn't see it in the Support post. I did get a useless call back from my doctor yesterday. She said the tingling "may be" from my "headache" (and yes, she said headache and NOT migraine), and if I'm still concerned I can schedule an appointment with her nurse practitioner. Needless to say, her sorry butt would be fired if I hadn't already decided to fire her.

I had a long talk with my mom last night, since I was pretty upset/angry about everything going on. I will be getting the necessary FMLA forms from HR this week. I can't use FMLA until I use all of my paid leave, but there's a real chance I'll use it all this year pretty quickly, even though I try not to call out if I can avoid it at all. Last year I think I only took 2 or 3 full days off for migraines, and this year I've already taken 2 (including today), plus a couple half days.

I'm feeling better than when I woke up, but I don't think I'm going to push it today. Whenever I get up off the couch my head starts pounding again. I think I just need a break to regroup. I refuse to feel guilty about this! (I'm writing that as much for me as for anyone else.)

I can't respond to all of you, but I'm going to try to poke around here a bit. I've missed reading the forum the past few days. Hope everyone's having at least a tolerable Wednesday. Heart

Sending all those with migraines today big Group Hugs.

After a tough month, I've actually had two good days. I'm still dizzy a bit and TIRED, but I think that's more to do with my low BP and low white blood cell count. I'm going for another blood test tomorrow to determine if numbers are going in the right direction now.

Despite those minor complaints, I've spent the past two days cleaning up the herb garden and spreading mulch. It feels so wonderful to get outside and get dirty.
