Halfway there! Big Grin Woo Hoo!

I figured I'd start off the tea room since I am in a really good mood this morning. Big Grin

I had a rough day yesterday, and I sent DBF a ranting raving email somewhere in the middle of it. My bad day was compounded by the fact my internet wasn't working so I couldn't get here to the forums all day. I realized how much I depend on this board to keep my sanity some days when I couldn't get here...

He ended up coming over last nite to bring me hugs and chocolate. He's such a sweetie. Heart I live alone, so usually I'm roughing it through a mig all by myself. I was just really appreciated that after a long day at work he jumped in his car and drove over to make my day a little better.

I am hoping the horrendous cycle I have been in will break today. Since last Tuesday, I didn't get a migriane on Sunday. I get breaks in between so its not status migrainous, just a baaaaad strech (hence the crazy email I sent to DBF yesterday)

But at least I am in a super good mood right now Big Grin
I hope we all have a good pain free day! Group Hug

Good morning!

I woke up with my migraine in full force this morning. It's my own fault because when my Axert worked yesterday I decided to go paint the dining room. I painted for about 30 minutes before I realized what a big mistake I made when the fumes triggered it again. The migraine went away last evening but came back again in the middle of the night. So, forum time will be brief this morning.

Kat-What a great DBF you have! Big hugs to you and to him too Group Hug

I hope everyone is doing well this morning.

I hope you are feeling better soon Laura!!!!

I got hit harder then I thought yesterday. I left work early and went home to sleep.

I think the big M finally subsided at about 8 or 9 at night. I still feel a little out of it, but I don't think it's a migraine, just the residual effects. UGH I hate it!!!!

Hopefully today will be better!!!! Tomorrow is my Friday! I have off on Friday just because. I'm getting a hair cut and having lunch with my MIL.

DH and I are going for Sushi with a friend tomorrow night....and then....we are thinking of getting inked...again! I have not gotten a tattoo in like 8 or 9 years...so I'm due. LOL. Shawn wants to get his sisters signature on his arm. I thought that was cool. It will be two years since her death on 6/17/08. It's still very hard for his mom.

I'm getting my DH's initials (I know right! NEVER do that!! LOL) but I know it's forever.... in a heart with a ligtening bolt going through it. Probably just in black, no color since I'm Irish and red will clash with my coloring. I don't know how many of you that are here now know the story, but my DH and I got together because we were living next to each other and my house got struck with lightening and was unlivable. So, he offered to have me stay with him, and a month later, we were dating! If it wasn't for the lightening that 4th of July, we probably wouldn't be together today!! LOL

Ok, long post!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!! The week is almost over!!! Big Grin Cool

Good Morning,
Well the birds are singing and we are expecting excessive heat today. Hard to believe a week ago it was cold.

Well our company CEO spent an hour in a meeting with us yesterday going over very boring financials. It was when most of us would have been at lunch. Bad timing. What was he thinking. Oh well. At least he came to our office. We tend to be treated much like an ugly step child......

Not much going on. I did have a mild migraine yesterday. The Imitrex kicked in quickly. So it did not get out of hand.

Now I have something to worry about. DBF works at a refinery. And he is on a spill response team. The news radio I listen to in the morning just reported a tug boat hit a pipeline in the bay this morning that belongs to the refinery he works for about 2:30 this morning. I guess the only good thing is the pipe line was abondon so the line only had residuel fuel in it. But he is probably at the refinery. I'll try and call him, but if he is at work I won't reach him. At least this isn't dangerous for him. He also responses to fires.

Have a good day everyone.

Cindy

Good Morning.

Well, we've all managed to make to Wednesday. Thumbs Up

I hope everyone is fairing well. We've had rain all night and this morning. So far, so good on the migraine front, again. I'm just sleepy. I didn't make it home until 9:30 last night. I'm usually in bed by then.

Eileen, I enjoyed reading about how you and your DH got together. That was sweet how he offered his home to you. Heart

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi everyone!

It's been a nice morning here! I got my older son off to school a bit early...His class has an "all about me" bulletin board and each kid gets to be the special "all about me kid" for 1 week. It's my son's lucky week! He also gets to take one show and tell thing every day this week. It took us about an hour of reviewing his toys and books this morning, but he finally chose to take his microscope today. (Gee...Don't you wish your most difficult job today was choosing something for show and tell?!? Wink)

My younger son and I have been playing games and building puzzles all morning. Right now he's building a huge tower/monster truck track out of wooden blocks. It takes up my entire game room, but I don't mind! It's kinda fun trying to hop over the blocks when I'm moving around the room!

The kids seem very happy to see that my head is better. SmilerDh, too.

Kat, I'm glad you're feeling so good today! Big Grin Your DBF sounds terrific. Oh--don't feel bad...I've been known to send out a grumpy email to my DH, too. Frowner I think it happens to a lot of us...

Laura, you've been working so hard in your house! I sure hope you'll send us some pictures to see when you've finished!! Today, please try to get a little rest--the project will still be there when you're feeling better!

Eileen, I sure hope the postdrome passes quickly! Group Hug I've thought about getting a tattoo, but I just can't bring myself to do it! I just keep thinking that one day I'll be old and very saggy...somehow a tattoo just won't fit me then! Razzer

Cindy, I'll be thinking of you and your DBF. My older brother worked in a refinery near Long Beach for MANY years. I remember worrying about him, too, when accidents happened. Hugs and happy thoughts for you: Group Hug Smiler

Heather, I'm glad to hear your head is OK, despite the rain! If I remember correctly, you've been doing pretty well lately, haven't you??

Well, I'm headed off to get my little one ready for preschool. While he's gone, I hope to recover my house. We've got stuff everywhere! I didn't keep up with the cleaning very well when I was sick...Time to get back on track!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Smiler

Good morning,, gals!

It looks like everybody but Laura feels better today than yesterday. Me, too. It was as crummy as I've felt in a long time. I've been in more pain, but just haven't felt as crummy.

Cindy -- My DH is general counsel for an oil & gas firm. They had a spill about 18 months ago and are now dealing with EPA. They were supposed to meet with them today, but EPA put it off until sometime next month. So he gets to get all nervous again next month! I hope your DBF's experience is better.

Jenny -- so glad you're better from the flu. It really flattened you, didn't it? Had you had a flu shot? At my dad's work, there were several people who had the flu shot who also got the flu. Luckily, my dad avoided it. He doesn't need it at 78. Still goes downtown to his office every day.

I was up 2 1/2 pounds today at Diet Center. Can't let the scale ruin my day. My counselor says a lot of it is the weather. I'm retaining water, so that may be part of it.

Have a great day!

Hey gals-

I think I'm feeling better today, I think, I think, I think... Went to sleep with one of my relaxation exercises like a good girl last night then Mr. Nite Owl came in at 3 and dropped something, startled me like crazy and I couldn't get back to sleep. So I got up and read for awhile and then had to sleep late... so it's hard to tell if I'm better, or still a little sick, or just sleepy. Adam just got sent home from school with a fever. He was sick 2 days last week, then better. D's taking him to the dr. in a little while. I have my business group seminar to lead this afternoon - a couple of hours. The group has dwindled which is good for my head though bad for my wallet. Oh well. Won't be too strenuous today.

Eileen you are a courageous woman! I have a tatoo - when I was 21 and getting that tatoo on my belly - that was the worst pain I ever felt. Then had migraines in my 20s worse than the tatoo... Had my first child and thought maybe labor pains were the worst - broke and dislocated my elbow and that was worse than labor pains. Tatoo seems like pretty tame at this point. But I wouldn't go looking for that again (though I understand I got one in about the most sensitive possible place). Oh and let me be responsible to those of you who haven't had kids yet - labor pains really are different because you're working at something and you know something great is coming out of it. Makes the pain much more bearable.

Jenny it's so good to hear you sounding like yourself! Enjoy that time with your boys!

Gretchen, Kat & Eileen, glad you're feeling better! Kat we've probably all sent emails like that - what a sweetie your DBF is to hear what you needed and come over.

Laura so sorry the fumes knocked you down. Take it easy, you've done so much. It will wait a little while til you're more trigger-hardy.

Heather you sound pretty chipper - glad to see that counter still moving!

Cindy prayers for your DBF - I hope all is fixed without danger.

Another beautiful day here. Today I hope to actually get out for a little walk.

Be well, all.
- Megs

Hi forum buddies,

Miss you all. I have been so busy with Zach's school play the Music Man this week!! The play is this week, so it's almost done. It has been alot of fun, but I have been doing to much and fighting migs all week. T But, it is totally worth it to see Zach's face when I am there!!

Sounds like everyones doing pretty good and YAHOO it is Wednesday almost Friday!!

Kat-You sounds so happy today!! And what a DBF Hugs and Chocolate, what else could a girl want? Love it!!

Laura-SS the beast came on full force this morning Flower But, I have to say, I love your choice of paint colors (even though it's not helping your head) I have burgendy and biege colors in my family room accented by chocolate brown.

Eileen-I love the story how you and your DH met. That is one for the records, lighting!!!! NO WAY!!! And you are a brave soul to get a tatoo. I am way to chicken to feel that pain, even if it's for something cool!!

Cindy- Oh my goodness, that accident with the tug boat doesn't sound good. I hope you can get of DBF and he is okay!! Let us know, k

Heather-I am glad you feeling good today...Try and get some rest today Zzzz'z

Jenny-Hey girlie, Miss ya!! You sound like you are having a great morning with the kiddos!! I am glad DH is feeling better too!! Have fun building!

Gretchen-You have been hit hard lately...ss Flower I am glad you are feeling better. I wouldn't worry to much about the 2 1/2 pounds (even though I know it's alway a bummer) but, it is probably water gain. Sometimes I can add 5 lbs of water. Unbelieveable!!

Megs-Glad you are feeling better. Sorry Adam is sick!! Amber is still sick from the cold she had, even after antobiotics. I think I will have to make another trip to the doctors with her. Also, enjoy your group. Sometimes, it is worth the loss of money just for the sanity!!

I will be busy the next couple days with the play and DH is still out of town, so I am running a one man show at home too!!, but will try
to check in. Have a great week!!

Yes, if we go through with the "inking" tomorrow, it will be my....5th one. It will be DH's 3rd.

They really don't hurt the way you think. The area goes numb after they start. And I hate needles! LOL

Think of it this way - migraines are MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more painful then any tattoo I've ever gotten. I would become a tattoo'd diva if it ment I'd never have to migraine again...yeah, wishful thinking! LOL

Eileen, I think hubby getting his sister's sig on his arm is beyond cool. You know how nostalgic I am about family. That just strikes me as so spiffy. What a beautiful tribute.

Jamie, hope you got a bit of nap in in my honor. I could've used it.

Hey everyone. I'm checking in from the east coast for a change. I'm in Boston until Saturday morning for an architecture conference. My head has been pitching a fit since I got here - I was actually supposed to go out to dinner tonight with the rest of everyone else here from my company - but I'm having a good time and making a lot of great networking contacts so I'm trying to stay cheerful. I know the trip will have been worth it, but I just need to remember to pace myself and take it easy, and remember to say NO when I need to.

Since I'm staying in tonight, I don't plan to do much more than spend some time on the forum, and maybe read or knit for a while. Hope everyone is doing well - we're more than halfway through the week! Heart
