Things look good today. I'm trying to take it easy, as I was finding myself a little rundown by the end of the week, and DH is sick, so I don't want to pick that up.
I'm spending today watching college b-ball and lounging on the couch. How about you? What's on the calendar for this day? Jamie Forum Moderator |

Sounds like you've got a good day planned Jamie!!!
I love when I can just chill! Especially coming off the holidays! Well last night I half caught up on Grey's Anatomy - I had a bunch on the DVR and wached like 6 episodes - since the writers strike and DVR's I just watch what I want, when I want - on MY time - not when it's on. Makes my life so much less stressful! LOL I know, the big drama of missing my fav show! LOL Anyway - so far today, DH and I have gone to the shelter, fed all the kitties (no dogs right now, strange!). Went grocery shopping and I am going to make homemade mac and cheese for dinner. DH is having a friend over for band practice (thank god the drummer can't make it! LOL) And then we will have dinner. DH will probably get on the 360 for Call of Duty 4 (he thinks he is Jack Bauer) and I'll finish up the remaining Grey's I have DVR'd. WOW we live such exciting lives don't we!!!!!! Anywhoo - hope everyone is enjoying their day! Hope it's pain free!!! I don't have much on the list for this weekend. I have some laundry to do and errands to run, but that's about it. My head is feeling much better from yesterday, which is good.
I've recommitted to my gluten-, dairy- and sugar-free diet, so I'm going to put together a menu for the week so DBF and I can go food shopping. We have some gross rainy, windy weather blowing through for the next three days or so, which is going to limit how much time I spend outside. Oh well. Jamie, I'm keeping my fingers crossed -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ Why do I capitalize Migraine? Well, the big event for my day has been getting all signed on as a forum host. I'm looking forward to "giving back" for all the forum has given me.
The cats have been using my lap a lot. I went out to lunch, and soon I need to go down to the YMCA and get some exercise. I need to wash dishes and do laundry, but I'm worried about flooding my kitchen again, the way it flooded last Sunday. |

I'm taking it very easy this afternoon, trying to get "reset" after a combo of brain beastie and a horrid bout of that nausea+cold sweats+tingling+fizzing in ears+tunnelling vision nearly passing out thing. I haven't had to deal with that in a lonnnggggg time. The nausea/near passing out bit hit just after the nice Midrin sedative did. Nice. I'm pretty sure it was triggered by that little black iron pellet o' doom. If any dose gives me mild nausea, it's the morning one.
Something unusual happened this time, though. Generally, once the initial nausea passes, I'm just fine. Today, once I'd ventured upstairs to crash on the couch up there, the fizzing and sweats hit for a second time. Another unusual thing happened, too. Somewhere in the waiting out the nausea period, the migraine seemed to have just up and abort it's little self. Out of the blue, the numbness in my face, the pain, and the fogginess just completely, suddenly left. I'll take that! So, now I'm just doing the washed-out, somewhat shaky fatigue thing, like always after one of these almost passing out episodes. I thought I'd forum a bit, since I had to abort my attempt this morning once the cold sweats broke out. Maybe play a game of Alchemy. Finish the load of laundry I chucked in. Phooey! So, my mom, dad, sister and partner are here for a belated christmas and to celebrate our son's 13th birthday.
Went to the doctor this am to check on my ear infection..... I do not have one any longer, but doc is concerned about TMJ effecting my ears ability to drain properly and wants me to see an TMJ specialist. Oh joy!! He says it will only get worse and could cause more problems with my ears......I haven't had a chance to research this latest and greatest event... Anyway, I am off to take a nap before the big dinner out for Sam. Thank goodness my family is very understanding.... |

Aww, Droolie, that stinks that you were feeling so bad this morning. I hope you're doing better now. Forum time is always a good way to treat what ails you!
Nancy, I'm sending good vibes your way so you can enjoy your celebration dinner without the beastie attacking! I am off to do some laundry and work on knitting DBF's new scarf. I'm almost halfway done with it, and it's looking good! -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com/ Why do I capitalize Migraine? I'm okay. I don't have very many really rough episodes in the scheme of things, all things considered. At least I had time, so I could dial things back and smoosh it.

I hope everyone is feeling better.
I walked 45 minutes this afternoon. Could have made it an hour, but it started spitting rain. Made my head feel much better, but I'm beginning to get cramping in my scalp, so it's time to hit the Skelaxin. We're going to 5:30 Mass tonight, and I'm going to ask DH about going out to eat. He went out at lunch, to catch up with an old (mutual) friend, but he's usually willing to go out. The cupboard is pretty bare, so I'm going to hit the grocery store tomorrow. Mac's has bone-in chicken breasts for 77 cents a pound! Chicken soup time! Sparky needs a bath in the worst way, but that may have to wait until tomorrow. I have to shower and rescue my hair -- it gets bent when I sleep. A ball cap covers a multitude of sins while I'm walking, but I can't do that in church. The high is supposed to be 74 tomorrow. I think I can find a short-sleeve shirt. Oh, and the Christmas tree has GOT to come down tonight or tomorrow! Gretchen in Mississippi |

I just got home from a wedding, an interesting wedding.
Dh's niece got married, shot gun style shall we say, and her new husband is Albanian/Muslim. It was cool watching his side of the family dance line/circle style to traditional Albanian music. It will be interesting to see how this marriage goes. Deb [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] |

Howdy guys!
Wow, I guess it was an interesting day for all of you (both good Droolie, I sure hope you're doing better tonight!! Here are some smooshes and happy thoughts for you! Eileen, my favorites are Grey's Anatomy and House! I just got three seasons of House on DVD for Christmas (some I've never seen before). I'm trying to find time to watch them all! Happy Birthday to Sam!! I hope you all had a wonderful dinner, Nancy! I can't wait til my kids are teenagers! Deb, Oh I love a good family wedding! Especially a memorable one! We still talk about one wedding we went to several years ago. It was memorable for all the wrong reasons! The bride was dressed in a bright red wedding gown and the groom wore plaid shorts and sunglasses! The bride laughed hysterically throughout the entire ceremony and the groom had his hand on her behind the entire time! After the ceremony, the entire wedding party opened the trunk of the groom's car and cracked open cans of Budweiser in the church parking lot! At the reception, a keg of beer sat in the middle of the dance floor and you had to serve yourself from the tap (like at a college frat party!). They played only Bon Jovi and Metallica songs--oh, and they played the Pittsburgh Steeler's fight song, too! I think the divorce came about 6 or 7 months later...but I'm sure some of those marriages last forever!! Just checking in tonight! Feeling good right now--got my nerve block and I'm good to go! May take the kids to the museum tomorrow... |
