Good Morning!!

I hope everyone is doing great this morning.

Not much going on in my corner of the world. I plan on finishing transcribing my visit with Dr. Krusz. Yeah, yeah, I know, I said I was going to do it yesterday. I did about half of it and got tired. LOL.

Other than that I am sticking close to home. My head is giving me a bit of a warning sign -nothing major- so I will be pretty lazy today until it gets better. Then, off to run some errands.

Take care everyone!

Hey all!

I'm feeling chipper today despite the fact I'm tired as all get out!

I think it's due to my neuro appointment yesterday and that I have a new plan of attack to get my head under control! yippee!

Anywho - on the agenda for the day is work - ugh - then I'm meeting with my realtor that sold us our home! I got very close with her and I am now thinking about getting my real estate license....since I can't seem to find another job. She said the market is not as bad as they make it out to be. Anyway - she pulled paperwork for me on classes and even set up a meeting with her boss! How cool is that!

So we are going to do that little meeting and then go to dinner!

DH has band practice tonight so I'm happy to be out of the house!

Other then that, nothing new!

Migraine lingering on for me today, so it my pile of laundry. Hair Raising

The toddlers seem to have colds, so all three of us have the "grumps". I'll have to think of something special to get us out of our cranky moods.

I'd planned on a yoga class tonight, but I'm not sure if it would help my head or make it worse. I suppose I'll just wait and see how things are later this afternoon.

I am thankful for the homemade soup in the freezer that will be dinner tonight!

Hoping your day is a happy one,
Liz

Eileen-before I moved up north, I used to work for a RE company and I loved it! I was there for over four years. I did the property management side and had a blast. I was going for my license but once I got to the state portion, we were moving...oh well. Good luck tonight.

Liz-I hope you start feeling better Blinking

Tawsha-My brain seems to be doing pretty good so I am headed out into the cool crisp air. That always energizes me! Good luck with the kids and the meeting.

Good morning all - Hey, Laura, fun to see that Host next to your name.

Danny was restless last night so I didn't sleep well - I should have slept in another room but was too tired to move - that vicious circle. So after getting kids on the bus I went back to sleep for an hour and a half - just that little point of faint pain in the temple telling me I'd get a migraine if I stayed up. Better now, thank goodness. But I just had a long business meeting and it's already 11:30. Ack!

Hope everyone has a pain-free day!

- Megs

Yesterday, I wasn't having tea with you all, but my day was GREAT! My 7 days of migraines (with some intermittent pain breaks with the meds) finally broke! I cooked all day, which I love. I made a healthy version of chicken salad and pureed cauliflower.

I steam & puree veggies (i.e sweet potatoes/carrots/butternut squash), put them in a plastic baggie and freeze them. Then when I can't cook, I just put them in boiling water to heat 'em up and have a comforting veggie to eat. I got the pureeing idea from a cookbook that I got for Christmas.

Last night I started having cold symptoms and woke up feeling terrible. And my head pain is worse too. Frowner

Resting today.

Laura-Hoping your head stays at bay.

Eileen-What a cool idea to get a real estate license! Have fun @ your dinner!

Liz-I hope that you all feel better soon. Sending you all hugs.

Tawsha- Oh I'm sorry about your head. I can't believe it is still so bad. I am sending you lots of prayers and hugs. I hope that the meeting goes smoothly.

Love and decreased pain to all you all.
I'm so thankful for you gals & guys. You'll never know.

Kelly

Laura - way cool that you did RE for a while!!! I think it's something I could get into. Plus I have this misconception that I can sell like 6 houses in a year and be set *I know that is not reality though!! LOL*

Kelly - did you make smashed cauliflower??? Like the fake mashed potatoes? I love that!!! It's supposed to be better for you....until I get a hold of it and douse it with butter and salt and pepper. But back in my low carb days before the Topamax, that was a good thing!

Megs - honey get some rest! Glad you are feeling a bit better. Long business meetings are the pits!

Tawsha - hope you are feeling better! I give you so much credit for home schooling! I must take so much patience, but sounds like you enjoy it. Good luck with the meeting with the teachers.

Liz - hope the kiddos feel better soon - and you too girlie! Don't wear yourself out! Take it easy if you can!

Good Morning everyone,

Other then that, the twins started back at College yesterday and Zach startes back at swim team next week. I am going to lay low today, because I am still seeing double.
Laura- I love the Host at the end of your name and I hope your head cooperates Blinking

Tawsha - I'm glad that you are not dizzy anymore, but I am sorry your head is still at a 4 Ugg. I am sending you positive thought that it will go away before your meeting and before the wrestling match.

Eileen-

I LOVE smashed caulifower too!! YUM! What I make is kinda like that. But I don't mash it. I put the steamed cauliflower in a mini food processer, add a smidge of water, and chop it until it is really smooth. I guess it is the same texture as smashed cauliflower/potatoes though.

I LOVE butter and salt in mine too, but I'm trying to go the healthy route. It actually tastes pretty good. I don't like plain cooked cauliflower, but I love this!

Good morning everyone!

Today is low pain so far. Monday and Tuesday were both pretty good head days (I posted about it in the Success folder), even though both nights I was migrainey - dizzy, nauseous, and really cold. I usually shower at night though so the hot water helps me warm up some.

I had a slight panic yesterday at work because I accidentally deleted a file from our server that I needed. Luckily our IT team can recover deleted files for you if you send them an email. So when I came in this morning it was there.

So today just involves work for me. DBF and I are trying a new recipe tonight for chicken paella. We found a recipe in one of our cookbooks and modified it to fit in my diet. I think it will be good. We've been trying a new recipe a week (more or less) and it's kept us from getting bored with what we eat. Before we go food shopping we put together a menu for the week's lunches and dinners. That way we know what to buy and we don't have to come up with something to eat every day. We just look at our menu! Helps me stay on track with my diet, too.

Laura, I think it's fine that you haven't finished transcribing your visit with Dr K. Glad that your head is feeling better, too.

Eileen, that sounds like a great idea, possibly going into RE. When my family still lived in Jersey, my sister was going to get her RE license but ended up moving before she finished it.

Liz, that's great that you have some homemade soup to look forward to. Hope that everyone starts feeling better soon!

Tawsha, glad your dizziness is better. I'm sending positive thoughts your way so the beastie doesn't get too bad today.

Megs, I know what you mean about being too tired to move. And glad that the beastie is staying away!

Kelly, I'm hoping you start feeling better soon.

Dar, so glad to see you back! A consult at the head clinic sounds like a great idea.

Hope everyone is doing well today and enjoys their Wednesday! Heart

Hi everyone!

It's not morning here anymore, but I'm just sitting down for the first time today! A cup of tea is nice on a cold day!

Dar, "creative cooking night"--HA! I think that's what we had at my house last night! I looked into the freezer and we had only breakfast foods left!! So last night was "breakfast for dinner night." The kids thought it was really funny! Smiler

I have to think about making the pureed veggies! I'd love them, but my kids tend to just want vegetables if they can tell what they are just by looking. (They're not into trying new things very often!) My younger son's absolute favorite food is broccoli! But he won't even touch it if it isn't in recognizable pieces! Appearance is everything for my boys!

Eileen, good luck with your meeting tonight! I sure hope things go well for you! (You certainly deserve it!!)

Liz, I sure hope the kids are feeling better quick! It's tough when they're sick...You never get the rest you need! And it's a lot easier to be a grumpy Mom when you're tired!

Tawsha, I hope your home schooling meeting went well! It's always tough to take the entire flock of kids with you when you're trying to have a grownup meeting...I hope they were all perfect angels for you! Angel

Kelly, I'm sure glad to hear you had a break in your migraine. Cooking is one of my favorite things too! (The hardest part for me is deciding what to make!)

Laura and Megs, stay well today! Make sure you both get some rest and take care of yourselves!

I'm cleaning today. The house looks like a toy explosion. My younger son is a walking mess--He makes a big mess in one room. Then he moves into the next room and messes that up! He's good about putting things away when I remind him, but we ran out of time before school today. Now that the kids are both at school, I have a couple of hours to get things looking presentable again!

Have a great day everyone!

Heartjenny
