Morning, all. Thought I would check in while I have some time this morning.
Things here have been going okay. Not great. My head pain hasn't been too bad (the past few days it's actually been very low) but I'm struggling a lot with my Depression and Anxiety. DF is taking good care of me, though. I'm just trying to keep pushing through each day. We got some more bad news last week - DF didn't get the job he interviewed for, and his seasonal job at the golf course ends on October 31. Still nothing on the horizon, though we both keep looking. There's been a lot of discussion of H1N1 the past few days on here. We're definitely having a shortage of the vaccine here - we've only gotten our first round of shipments the past week or so. Our office (an official provider of the vaccine) hasn't gotten our shipment yet and we don't expect to for a while - we're a very small office and don't serve a high-risk population. The three of us in the office (me, the medical assistant and the doctor) did get our shots last week though, through the hospital we're affiliated with. I guess that's about all from here. I have my Nia dance class in a few hours, but nothing else on the agenda otherwise. Hope all are AWAP, and know that I am thinking of all of you and reading along even if I'm not posting every day. -MJ my blog: http://rhymeswithmigraine.blogspot.com "What will you do, if it does not turn out how you expect?" Hey guys -
Gail glad you are seeing some relief from the Migraines. That makes a huge difference! MJ I hear you on the anxiety front. These are hard times. We're in similar case. Just hanging on month to month... Glad your head pain is some better, and you have DF to care for you! Woke with a Migraine this morning. I am frustrated. Of course I have a ton to do today. Slept in a little, which is a treat, but I have people coming over on Tuesday evening and tons of clean up to do. I started yesterday but don't have the stamina to work on it for long. Now I have to knock out this head pain so I can lead this conference call at 4 this afternoon - whether I get anything else done is up in the air. I took my Imitrex and just waiting for it to work. I really planned ahead and called in my Nortriptyline refill Monday, then kept forgetting to pick it up. Our pharmacy closes early Saturday and isn't open Sunday. so last night at bedtime I see - only one night's worth of pills left! GRR! - Megan |

Hello everyone!
Today the weather here is much improved from yesterday. A lot of the local games got canceled yesterday due to the rain and wind, so tonight DH will be flipping between the Giants and the Yankees. They put them on at the same time! What's a guy to do? LOL I've been up making Italian Wedding Soup since about quarter to eight. I have not been sleeping well, now due to chronic back and neck pain. DH put icy hot all over my back last night and guess what that did? Yep! Triggered a Migraine. So the icy hot goes in the garbage. How annoying! Laura - hope it's a good game tonight for you and for my DH! LOL Better than last week, right? MJ - the whole H1N1 deal has been drama here. I don't know if anyone anywhere else has heard about it, but in NY, they were making it mandatory for all health care workers to get vaccinated. Well, the workers took them to court and got a hold on the ruling, now they have canceled the need for it to be mandatory all together due to the shortage. I was really for the mandatory vaccination anyway - people have their reasons why they would not vaccinate, and to each their own. Plus, it's hitting they very young harder anyway so I really didn't understand the push for the H1N1 vaccine as much as just maybe the normal flu shot. Well, have to go pay some bills and hopefully knock out a TTH with, well, nothing! I'm trying very hard to limit my narcotics (vicoprofen) due to rebound last week and also because I don't want to have to call my dr. before I see her on the 11th for another script. Hope you all enjoy the day! I think I may write up a bill that says Sat. and Sun. are 48 hour days each.....so we have a longer weekend! Good morning everyone. I'm waking up slowly as I usually do, drinking coffee and taking my pills and supplements with every sip. I have nothing planned today even though I have several things I could do.
My sleep doctor started me on Strattera to hopefully give me a little boost of energy. Having fibro and chronic fatigue syndrome and sleep apnea, I'm exhausted 24/7. My previous medication attempts have bombed, causing me daily headaches so we're trying a new category of meds and this is my first attempt. Except, it has wiped me out and I'm even more exhausted. I check the info on this medication and it does say it can cause fatigue in the beginning until the body adapts so I will continue taking it, hoping that happens. Until then, I can't get through the day without a nap. Yesterday, my DD, DSIL, and DGS visited and I took a nap with with my 4 month old DGS. Here is a picture of us sleeping. Take care. Teri ![]() |

Hey guys,
I wanted to pop in and say hello. NOt too much going on in this corner. I woke up once again with severe pain. I am losing count of the days at this point. Took my injection and no response, once again. I know my doc says that I need time and there is not really anythin to do, but I will be calling tomorrow, just to make sure. I really need some relief. Being home and restin is nice, but not helpin pain wise. I jst pray that if I call and tell him I am doing so poorly still, he may just try. I needed to get up for a bit of lunch, but will soon be back in bed. Patience can be so hard, thats for sure. Sorry I am not getting caught up with everyone now. I really hope that you have enjoyed your weekend this far. Even though its wrappin up, I hope you can enjoy the evenin. I will stop back in and see how you all are as soon as I feel up to it. “Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.” |
