Good Morning--
First of all, Laura, that's how we ended up on Tricare Standard. We had Tricare Prime right at the end of DH's active duty and it was a real hasstle getting treatments, hospitalizations, etc approved even though my migraine specialist was in network. So I decided we'd be better off with Tricare Standard because I knew I'd be returning to work full time. But even since Tricare Standard is now our only insurance it's still better than prime. You just get so many more choices. And you don't end up with medical groups taking your insurance and then suddenly deciding they won't because the denials and payments are so bad. It's a lot harder to find docs who take Tricare because it pays like medicare but if they do, they do. They don't suddenly pull out. A huge HMO here in Austin just pulled out of Tricare Prime citing too much delay and too little payment. They're still accepting Tricare Standard. Enough on the insurance lesson. I have to be honest. I really hated Tricare, but they've done alright by me, so I shouldn't gripe. I've only had problems when somebody thought erroneously that I had Tricare Prime. It's nice and rainy here today. I know most of you really hate that but we need it so badly, it's wonderful. DS#2 and his family will be over this evening for dinner. Now to find something that everybody will like to eat. I really didn't mean to raise a picky eater. Don't quite know how that happened. Then he married a picky eater. Oh Well. Hope everybody has a good Sunday. Tracie |

Hi tracy.
This is the tearoom, huh? I find that pretty interesting. You all just stay in contact here? Thats a really neat idea I may just stop in and chat with everyone from time to time. We are having a great weekend, so I hope you are too! |

Wow, slow day here on the board! My weekend has been pretty close to a total loss. The migraine started Friday night and even now is still kind of lingering. I have tried pretty much every med at my disposal. If this thing is still pounding me tomorrow I might even consider the dreaded ER. Sigh.
Tracie- my DH's company is about to tweak insurance plans again. I am so dreading this, and hoping we can stick with something close to what we have. It's pricey but very flexible. Amy |

Hey very quiet in the tea room today! Hope everyone has been having a great day!
Welcome Macy, yes this is where we hang and catch up on each other. Usually a lot more hopping than today - everyone must have been out. It was a gorgeous day here. I had to miss our annual harvest fair - scheduled to work at the store exactly the same hours as the fair - by the time I got back to town they were shutting down. I took a nice walk in the park though. (Park is right next to our house - fair held at schoolgrounds at the other side of the park). It was kind of a hard day - D and I having a talk about where we are - things are still just so very tight and kind of scary. Also much upheaval at work - my favorite manager just quit - long saga there. It's lots of drama every day! I am ready for a Quiet evening! Tracie I'm so glad you are getting rain! I know the feeling of loving the rain after a drought - you feel like the earth is just drinking it up! Amy I sympathize on the insurance hassles - we have to redo ours too - more expensive and covering less every year. Hope your Migraine leaves! - Megs |
