Well I got my wish!!!

A snow day!! Yippee!!!! No work for me today!!!

The bad news is....DH had me up since 4:30 because he was going to go in early. He seems to think talking to me when I am trying to sleep is an awesome idea. Mad

And where is he now? Sleeping! Snowing so bad he couldn't go to work either. Yep, and here I am not able to go back to bed....so I'm foruming and cleaning the house. At least now it will be out of the way for tomorrow!

On the down side, I have a slight little I'd say dragon, but some would get offended Wink, So I'll say beast clawing at my left side. It's very mild so I'm not sure if it will go full force.

Since my new dx of transformed migraines, I've been trying like heck to lay off all meds unless 100% necessary. I think I may have to take some Skelaxin though, just to be on the safe side. Then we will see if I need to abort or not.

Other then that though, and even with the beast a brewing, it's a good day!!!!

Hopy you are all having fun today!!!

Good Morning!

You're not alone Eileen, the school's "Phone Tree" rang us at 5AM to let us know school would be closed. I couldn't get back to sleep either.

I am coming down with a sinus HA and not looking forward to that!

The kids are excited they are able to break out the sleds they got from Santa, so hopefully we are going to make the best of the the day and have some fun!

Stay warm and Pain free Blinking

Hey Eileen -

It's nice to see some snow at last! Yes I wish your DH had been quiet and let you sleep in and enjoy it! And I do hope your beast backs off and lets you enjoy the peace and quiet!

I couldn't sleep after 5 this morning for some unknown reason - finally drifted back off, woke again at 6:15 and checked the school web site, saw school was canceled, told Danny, he went right back to sleep and it was all over for me. I may have to get a nap in because two days in a row of not enough sleep is a very likely trigger for me. About 3 inches out there now, it looks like, and I have a 9 a.m. meeting in Princeton - snow still coming down like crazy and likely to continue all day - I want to cancel just so I don't have to clear the car off! (Lazy! Big Grin ) Don't know how the roads are - I'd love to just stay put. But Danny and I will get out and shovel at some point - good exercise.

Adam just got up and saw his day-after-birthday present. I always loved having a snow day for my birthday growing up!

I hope everyone is feeling well - I'll see you later! Group Hug

'Morning everybody!

I've got a real one coming. Will the pain hit today? Tonight? Tomorrow?

I have not slept all night. I've been awake writing blog columns. I've got a couple done so I'm ahead.

I've also had strong visual aura symptoms for two days plus really intense sound sensitivity. When I was finally able to get out of bed yesterday, just the sound of water coming out of the spigot in the kitchen was excruciating.

I need a vacation. I haven't had one since December 2004 and I'm ready for one. Don't know if it'll help migraine any but it would certainly be FUN!

Yay for everybody who is getting SNOW!! We hardly ever get snow down here. Hope y'all have a great time playing in it. Thumbs Up

I'm jealous. You all are getting snow and snow days. To get rain days we have to have flooding and mud slides, which really, I don't want. There is nothing pretty about them. Nala dog came in cold and wet, so the rain has started.

I get to work from home. DD's trip to SF did not go exactly as planned. She went with her Spanish class on the bus since she had an accident on the way to crew practice. She, nor the other driver were hurt. And the accident was not her fault. But she gets to take my car today until her real tire can be fixed her dad doesn't want her driving her car much with the spare on. Too small of spare of something. I'm grateful no one was hurt. Her dad called me when it was all over, he happen to be home when she called him and was over at the accident site pretty quick. I guess the other car was totaled. Thank heaven the other driver had air bags and her seat belt on. He's good in a crisis, bless him.

Stay warm and have fun in the snow. Keep the besties at bay. The way my head has felt all week I would be tempted to put my head in a snow bank, ice ususally feels so good.

Riley what does the puppy think of the snow? Dar when are those boys coming over tonight? Still only 6?

We had snow day called yesterday afternoon, but not today.

it has been snowing all day long so far through. Almost all of the schools are closed but they never close down the state so here I am.

I just got back from my neuro appointment, which I'll go on about later. Was pretty good overall though.

Hope everyone's heads are okay. Mine is getting ready to attack me I think. Hope it changes it's mind because I really shouldn't take anymore imitrex this week.

Cindy - don't be jealous about the snow days. They are really not all taht much fun, especially when everyone has no power and it's freezing cold.

Cindy I could see you definitely wouldn't want rain days! Rain The only rain days we've had were for hurricanes with floods - my little village was almost an island when Floyd came through. Sorry to hear about DD's accident - though thank goodness no one was hurt. That's always upsetting though.

Susie I sure hope that beastie backs off! Good Luck And you try and get the sleep you need! I stay up late with my blog sometimes too, though I know I shouldn't.

Lori I'm glad the relaxation tips are helping. Thanks for visiting the blog! Come on back! Bring a friend! Wink

I just shoveled snow for 1/2 an hour. That was a really nice workout. I woke Rachel up at 11 - said "you planning to sleep all day?" She freaked a little - then I told her it was a snow day. She said "Oh, Mom I love you, you're the best!" Wow, I don't get that all that often these days - sure was nice of me to arrange a snow day for her, huh? I'll have to do it more often! Cool

having trouble bringing myself to do any work today. It feels like a holiday. I have a client on the phone at 1, and I really have to get the insurance submissions (and appeals, and calls to them about claims they missed, and several hours of mind-numbing tedium) up to date. There's money waiting to be collected but I Hate dealing with the insurance! Mad

Morning all. Today is going moderately better than yesterday. It's sunny here again - unbelievable for this early in the year - so that's helping to keep me cheerful.

I got a call yesterday afternoon from the HA clinic scheduler letting me know my insurance had rejected the Botox. Mad I plan to appeal it. I was pretty upset about it yesterday but now I'm turning my anger and upset into energy to do something about it. I'll post a fuller update with my post in the Gripes folder.

The Frova I took yesterday did eventually help my head pain, and got it back down to the normal 2-3 range. The dizziness and nausea were much better too. I still didn't sleep well though. I think it's getting to be too warm in the bedroom with our super-duper comforter and very warm blanket. DBF likes it warmer than I do, though, so I'll probably give him the whole comforter. Wink

This weekend should be relaxing. I hope. I need some time to recover from vacation and the week of work. I also have to clean out my car and take some pictures of it so I can sell it. If I can accomplish that this weekend, I will be very happy.

I'm jealous of all the snow you Jersey girls are getting. When I lived in NJ I was in Manahawkin (Ocean County, right near LBI). We hardly ever got snow there - until the first winter I was at college, then my mom had something like 27"!!

Eileen, hope your beastie stays away so you can enjoy the early start to your weekend!

Lori, hope your sinus HA doesn't develop into anything too painful.

Megs, stay safe on the roads today if you do end up going out. I hear you on hating dealing with insurance. Devil I'm not looking forward to appealing the Botox decision but I have good motivation to do it!

Suzie, hope the beastie doesn't hit you too hard.

Cindy, you should come up here to the surprisingly sunny NW. I guess you got our rain!

Laurelin, hope the beastie doesn't get you too bad. I'll check out your update about your neuro appt.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday! Heart

Another snow day. The automated phone call came at 9:10 last night - Kath peeked her head out of the bathroom to listen. She knew as soon as I didn't say a word that I was listening to the recording. So she's happy for the snow day and the opportunity to sleep late and no Spanish test, but she's sooooooo booooorrrrred! Teenagers!

I think they jumped the gun though - it's not done a thing today, unless some of the side streets the busses have to take are still slippery. Our road is almost always cleared first, public transportation route.

Didn't have the soup last night - dh brought home leftovers from a meeting at work - pasta and chicken. Luckily no one at the office will touch leftovers.

So, soup tonight and I'd better get started.

Hi everyone,

I'm joining the snow crowd today--we got snow, ice, sleet, and now rain here in PA. Kids were happy to hear they had a 2-hour delay this morning. (I always think a delay is better than a cancellation...they have to make up the day if school gets cancelled!)

I was extremely relieved that they had a delay today--I've been really struggling to get over a really, REALLY terrible migraine that hit yesterday AM. I had to call family to come and help with the kids. I couldn't even keep my eyes open and I definitely wasn't in any shape to take proper care of them. Thank goodness Grandma came to the rescue. (DH was trying to get home all day--but the boss kept coming up with new stuff for him to do and he didn't make it home til 8PM last night. Frowner)

I've got really bad postdrome and medication hangover today. I almost feel like I've got the flu...

Anyway, I'm thinking of you all! Cindy, that accident must've been very scary for your DD! Make sure you get her behind the wheel again quickly, so she isn't completely afraid of driving! I'm sure glad she wasn't hurt!

MJ, I'm sure sorry to hear about the Botox rejection. I got the same response from my insurance company, too. Hmmm...Are there any places doing clinical trials of the Botox? If you could find one, maybe you could get to try it that way (for free!).

All of you try to get in a nap today! Zzzz'z Migraines, stay away!!

Hi Everyone,

I am late today!! My head was not bad this morning, so I ran and did ALL the errands for Zach's big party tonght. Yesterday was a wash. My migraine just got worse. I ended up throwing up in the parking lot of Albertsons Hair RaisingLOL. I can laugh about it now. (I don't know if the parking lot attendant is laughing LOL). Anyways, we have 6 ten year olds coming over for the birthday sleepover tonight. I got the balloons all over the bonus room, the air hockey table ready, movies out, the cake and ice cream, and my maxalt in my purse. I think I have everything covered LOL.

Ok, I just responded to the message about the HA site (I've already forgot initials already), it posted to every folder. It was weird, really weird.

DD has handled the accident very well. She got home, ate, took my car and went back out. Hardly missed a beat.

Laurlin, will you post in the Doctor folder? Jenny, I"m sorry you've felt so bad today.

I'm thinking we may go to a basketball game tonight. Both mens and women's teams are in playoffs, should be good. We'll see. Funny, wheather it's the calmer environment, less light, or whatever my neck has not bothered me as much today working from home.

I need to finish up. Take care everyone. Keep warm and safe those of you in the snow and bad weather. Dar, good luck with those boys.

Cindy

Hi guys, the headache's kicked in so I won't do well at responding to everyone, sorry, but I did read it..

Cindy - I am sorry DD had an accident but glad that she handled it well. I was pretty shaken up after my first accident.

Dar - good luck with the boys in the house. Hopefully they will not be too rowdy.

And yes, I posted in the doctor's folder. At least, I think that's where I put it... Confused
